I booked this houseboat for a 4 day layover in Amsterdam and it checked all my boxes. The boat is in a quiet area not far from the airport and central city. It was spotlessly clean, supplied with everything you need and the owners, Eric and Lone, live right next door and always very helpful, nice and make you feel welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend this houseboat if you are going to Amsterdam. You won't be sorry.

Ondanks wat minder mooi weer hebben we ons prima vermaakt. Op onze elektrische fietsen naar de stad, Monnickendam, Zaanse schans en rond de westeinder plassen;) Boot zelf is Tiny, maar prima te doen. Netflix op bed gaat prima, alleen misten wij daar een bedtafeltje of een plankje aan de muur. Bij mooier weer en post COVID : voor herhaling vatbaar!

Wenn man sich einmal an das Übernachten in einem Tiny House gewohnt hat, dann gibt es hier wirklich nichts zu meckern. Extrem sauber, Eigentümer die auf viele kleine Details achten; und es ist alles da, was man braucht, sowohl im Haus, wie auch was die kleine aber feine schwimmende Terrasse betrifft, die kostenlosen Fahrräder, usw. Absolut zu empfehlen!!! DANKE!!!

We had 5 great days in Amsterdam. It’s a cozy houseboat, not big but perfectly fine for two people. There was no problem with checking in early or checking out late, which was great. The owners have thought of everything, from a hairdryer, umbrella’s, some cold beers in the fridge to masks for in public transportation. The bikes made the location perfect, with just a short trip through the Voldelpark to the centre. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend a stay here!

Very cozy stay with gorgeous view. This house is quite small but there's a beutiful terrace on the water, so it adds a lot of space when the weather allows it. The host was very friendly, all the instructions were clear and she gave us some very useful advise. Location is very nice, further from city center's noise but with easy commute.

Die Gastgeberin Lone war ausgesprochen nett und hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und auch gleich erklärt wie man am besten vom Hausboot zu anderen Orten gelangt. Von Stroopwaffels über Apfelsaft, Kaffeekapseln für die Maschine und noch viel mehr, war auch für den kleinen Hunger etwas dabei und wurde bereits von der Gastgeberin für uns bereitgestellt. Das Hausboot hat Charme und ist definitiv mal ein anderes Erlebnis als in einem normalen Hotelzimmer zu übernachten.

Fantastic host(s). Lone was extremely pleasant, welcoming, helpful with suggestions and made sure my first trip to Amsterdam started at my rental. The houseboat is charming, perfect spot solo or with your partner. Loved the welcome Stroopwafels on the table, a couple beers, milk, apple juice in the fridge but most importantly Nespresso pods ready to go for the week! Charming canal community, easy to walk/bike to, public transportation walkable. If you want to be outside the hustle and bustle of tourists and the central part of AMS this is. just over a 1.5 miles to Rijks/VG/MOCO, etc. There's great restaurants and city activity only about 8 minutes walk from the ABNB, Restaurant Blauw and Ron Gastrobar are notable spots. Highly recommend, would rent again. She/they are so lovely and right next door if you should need anything.

Positive: Das Wohnen auf einem Hausboot ist schon besonders., die Umgebung am Wasser hat es uns angetan. Das Appartement selber ist zwar klein, aber alles ist tip top von der Ausstattung her. Knabberzeug und einige Getränke wurden von der Gastgeberin großzügig im Kühlschrank deponiert. Die Dame des Hauses hat uns mit Insidertipps bezüglich Restaurants den Aufenthalt verschönert. Sie ist sehr angenehm und "nice to talk". Negative: Etwas mehr Stauraum für die Kleidung.

Meine Freundin und ich haben uns auf dem Hausboot sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Klein, aber sehr fein. Es war immer wieder schön, nach den Touren "nach Hause" zu kommen. Trotz zentraler Lage sehr ruhig. Das Baden am Steg war ebenfalls ein Hightlight. Es war ein guter Ausgangspunkt für unsere Fahrradtouren. Die bereitgestellten Fahrräder waren sehr gut. Lone als Gastgeberin war immer höflich und hat uns unterstützt und als sehr nette Geste, den Kühlschrank mit leckeren Getränken zur Begrüßung gefüllt und zwischendurch die Handtücher gewechselt. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar und mit der Geldkarte kann man unkompliziert einchecken. Definitiv zu empfehlen und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Danke für "living like a local"!!!

Lone and Eric’s place was the perfect base for our trip to Amsterdam. The houseboat was adorable - we felt right at home and there were some lovely touches with having some snacks and refreshments there for our arrival. Lone was super welcoming, taking the time to talk us through a map of the local highlights as well as the easiest ways to travel into the city. As hosts they were the perfect balance of non-intrusive but there if we did need anything at all (such as lending us a screwdriver to fix our broken suitcase!). The location was great, a very pretty walk into the city but easy to access via bus and tram routes too. Our stay was truly joyous and provided the perfect balance between the vibrant city and a peaceful place to unwind. We’ll be back!

Positive: Everything was perfect! The hosts were so helpful and friendly, really great people. Being on the water was stunning and the location was absolutely perfect. So great to ride our bikes into Amsterdam and have an authentic new experience on the houseboat! Negative: I ended up getting a bit of motion sickness just from the houseboat occasionally bobbing so if you’re prone to that make sure to take any necessary precautions! Other than that, loved it!

Positive: Tout était parfait !! Confortable, super bien équipé, des cadeaux (boissons, gâteaux) d'accueil, des échanges réactifs et super agréable avec les propriétaires. L'emplacement au calme et la terrasse nous a fait nous sentir vraiment privilégiés. Les vélos inclus sont un vrai plus et permettent de rejoindre rapidement (20 min) le centre d'Amsterdam par le parc : nous avons bcp aimé cette routine bucolique :). On a adoré ces 4 jours et je recommande chaudement cette expérience. Merci encore !! Negative: Rien en fait. Prenez juste un masque de nuit si vous aimez dormir dans le noir absolu ;)

Positive: Die Gastgeberin und ihr Mann wohnen direkt nebenan. Wir wurden super nett empfangen und haben direkt eine Karte der Stadt mit vielen nützlichen Tipps von den beiden bekommen. Außerdem konnten wir uns bei Fragen immer an sie wenden. Die Unterkunft ist klein, hat alles alles was man braucht und das Bett war auch sehr bequem. Super positiv war, dass bei der Unterkunft schon 2 Fahrräder dabei waren, denn so konnten wir uns jederzeit ohne Parkgebühren in der Stadt aufhalten. Negative: No comment

Positive: Fantastic place to stay, warm, clean and quiet. Easy communication with the hosts, and great to be able to use the bikes. The bed was really comfortable and really well stocked kitchen with everything you need to make a basic meal. Really nice touches with little bottles of wine, beer, snacks gifted to us as well. Absolutely recommend staying here! Negative: A decent walk if you take the tram from the airport (15-20 minutes). It's 10 minutes to walk to the tram to get into the city but this was a really nice walk and not a problem just worth noting perhaps if this is a barrier for you.

Positive: Toppen att få bo så nära vattnet med uteplats och möjlighet till ett dopp. Mycket hjälpsam och trevlig värdinna, tack för de fina tulpanerna på bordet och för hjälpen med att beställa taxi m.m. m.m. Vi uppskattade och använde cyklarna som fanns att låna, väldigt praktiskt och smidigt. Fina omgivningar för promenader. Nära till ett frukosthotell och ett bageri som spred goda dofter under morgonpromenaden. Skön säng och fantastisk utsikt över kanalen. Negative: Trappan vållade oss inga problem, men den kan nog uppfattas som brant av en del. Det finns dock rejäla ledstänger att hålla sig i.

Schöne kleine Unterkunft mit allem was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt braucht. Der Check In war sehr unkompliziert, persönlich und die Gastgeber*innen aufmerksam:) Uns haben Kleinigkeiten zum Essen/Trinken erwartet;) Die Lage am Wasser ist toll, jedoch ist der Weg zu Fuß zur Bahn etwas weiter (10-15 Minuten) und von dort nochmal ca. 20 Minuten ins Zentrum. Fahrräder stehen zur freien Verfügung bereit, diese haben wir jedoch aufgrund des relativ schlechten Wetters nicht benutzt. Im Sommer bieten sich diese wahrscheinlich eher an um das Zentrum zu erkunden! Alles in allem sind wir sehr zufrieden und würden wenn, dann wahrscheinlich nochmal in wärmeren Monaten wiederkommen, um dann vielleicht auch die Bademöglichkeit von der Terrasse aus zu nutzen;)

Un séjour totalement dépaysant au bord d'un grand canal magnifique!
Positive: Un gite exceptionnel, dans un décor magnifique (grand canal avec d'autres houseboats, oiseaux marins devant la terrasse et calme complet). Il est juste situé un peu loin du centre, mais si vous aimez le vélo c'est un emplacement idéal, juste devant une "autoroute" à vélo très sécurisée qui vous amènera au centre d'Amsterdam en quelques minutes. Negative: Parfait pour nous.

Wir hatten 2 Nächte in der Unterkunft gebucht und ich wünschte es wäre ein Monat gewesen. Ich war sehr traurig, dass es so schnell vorbei war, ich habe nicht damit gerechnet, dass mir eine Unterkunft so gut gefallen kann. Toller Sonnenaufgang aus dem Bett zu beobachten. Das nötigste ist in der Unterkunft vorhanden und reicht vollkommen aus. Die zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrräder waren auch ausreichend, es gab auch wertvolle Tipps. Die Gastgeber waren sehr gut erreichbar und haben schnell geantwortet. Ich bin immer noch sehr begeistert und sehe keine negative Kritik die ich äußern könnte! Bis hoffentlich ganz bald!

Positive: The houseboat is in the perfect location, between Amsterdam Central and Schipol Airport. It was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The houseboat is located in a cosy houseboat community which is lovely to take a stroll around, or stay in on the decking and watch the coots, swans, ducks and greebs! Negative: The stairs to the bedroom are definately a challenge after a few drinks! - but a fun challenge.

our stay at the bed and boat was superb. check in was straightforward and we found the place easily. the houseboat is in an amazing location, living on the water is really cool! coffee in the morning by the river is great fun. the bikes were a great addition to our stay - we spent most days cycling into the city, which requires a little bit of confidence, but you can park them easily somewhere out of the centre. they have a lock and keys for the bikes which is handy. the presentation of the apartment is also excellent; it was very clean and we appreciated the complementary snacks. our stay at the bed and boat felt like an authentic Amsterdam experience and we had great time. we would certainly stay there again.

Lone and Eric's Bed and Boat was a great find. They are wonderful and caring hosts and the apartment itself was as described and functional. We loved the outdoor sitting spaces and also having the bikes as part of this rental was a treat. Public transportation or the bikes into the city was very doable from here and we were able to explore outside Amsterdam activities as well. We combined 4 days on the boat with 2 days in a city air bnb and that worked great for us although we missed the laid back happy hours on the boat upon moving into the city. Also the fully sufficient kitchen on the boat allowed us to make some of our own quick meals and snacks. Lone and Eric's local restaurant recommendations were perfect as well. Thanks Lone and Eric for a truly unique Amsterdam experience!

Perfect experience at the Houseboat
Positive: We loved the place, everything was perfect. Lone and Eric made us feel really welcome, including giving us some snacks when we arrived, that was really nice from them. The view is awesome, bed, bathroom, a complete kitchen with everything we needed (we cooked dinner one night and eating outside watching the canal was a great experience), they have a very nice neighborhood, safe and beautiful. Bikes are in great condition and it was quiet an experience to go around Amsterdam as a local :) . Staying in the houseboat is not only a place to rest, it is a full experience that I recommend to everyone and really hope to come back some day. Negative: No comment

Die Besitzerin der Unterkunft wohnt gleich nebenan und ist immer zu erreichen, spricht deutsch und ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit Kapseln und ein Startpaket befindet sich im Kühlschrank. Sehr bequemes Doppelbett ist über eine steile Treppe im Obergeschoss. Es war ein perfekter Urlaub. Heerlijk rustig, compleet, plekje. Prachtige uitvalsbasis.
Positive: -Het onderkomen was super compleet, en dat op een beperkt aantal vierkante meter. Goed over nagedacht! De hosts zijn erg gastvrij. -Dat we, door het mooie weer, de vlonder voor de woonboot konden gebruiken maakte het fantastisch. Wat een gevoel van vrijheid! En dan al die vogels die je hoort... -Het parkeertarief is on-Amsterdams en je kunt in het weekend zelfs gratis parkeren. Negative: -De bereikbaarheid via het OV. -Als (klein) verbeterpuntje: boven zou het fijn zijn om een zitplek voor 2 personen te hebben. Nu moet er één op bed zitten. Positive: This place is lovely. Lone and Eric are the best hosts I’ve ever met and this whole experience was 10/10 from start to finish. I am so glad we found this place. The bikes included are so useful to cycle through Vondelpark and park up to walk in to the city. Negative: It’s a well contained, cosy houseboat and the deck is fantastic. It was still warm enough for us to sit out and enjoy the sunshine and watch the boats drive past. This place is a real find.

Positive: Lovely place to stay in Amsterdam! The apartment is clean and well-stocked (milk was already in the fridge as well as tea and coffee). The hosts take very good care of their guests, are approachable and will give you great recommendations! Even though the boat is not directly in the centre, you can go anywhere quickly with the free bikes. The ride into the centre through Vondelpark or the surrounding resident areas is fantastic and makes you feel like a local. The seating area on the deck offers a beautiful view of the canal and the other swimming houses with the occasional boat passing by. Negative: No comment

Positive: It was a different experience than we are used too and in a very peaceful place in Amsterdam. Great for a city break just on the outskirts but close enough at the same time. The landlords lone and Eric where extremely nice and helpful and bonus living next door so if you need anything they are always on hand. Negative: The only critical thing I could say is it’s a little bit of a walk to the tram so if your not into walking then maybe not for you but there’s bikes available free of charge at the property so it’s fine if you cycle

This was a very unique place! I LOVED it. Very cozy and quaint! The stairs up to the loft are a bit steep. If you have mobility or balance issues, it might be a problem. This isn’t a deal breaker for me, but something worth noting. Annemarie & Renske were great hosts. Very easy going and responded quickly to any questions I had. They had 2 bikes on site, which was GREAT! I literally road it everywhere! It made the experience that much better! All in all, I think it’s well worth it! I loved watching the boats pass by and opening up the sliding door in the mornings to listen to the ducks. I’d definitely stay again!

Eine tolle Unterkunft, in der man trotz der Enge sehr gut entspannen kan. Highlights sind die Freundlichkeit der Besitzer, die atemberaubende Treppe zum OG und das himmlische Bett. Wir können das zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

We really enjoyed staying at Lone's place especially bc they provided 2 nice bikes for transportation. The space is small but they had everything you needed. The location was very good for relaxing and the host was very friendly when we ran into her wh was 2x in 5 days. The deck overlooking the water was lovely, altho we did not really have a chance to sit outside bc it was very cold, even t the end of May.

What a wonderful stay!!! Excellent hosts who were in contact with us prior to the trip and gave us directions and help on how to reach the boat. Everything was immensely clean and we had a welcome pack which was a lovely touch To our stay! Incredible views and if only the weather had been a little better we would have embraced having a drink on the back decking!! A little bit further out to central Amsterdam than we had thought, but only a walk or cycle then a metro/bus ride into the centre! Right next door to the owners so any issues would be solved straight away- we will be back it was perfect! Thank you so much again! Perfect hosts!

Top Lage: ruhig und direkt am Wasser. Mit den den zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrrädern (im Preis inkludiert) ist alles in Amsterdam ganz schnell zu erreichen . Auch ist Lone sehr hilfsbereit und hatte uns auch kleine Überraschungen im Kühlschrank platziert.

The WOW factor! Such a beautiful boat house set in a very peaceful part of the city but is super close to the airport too. Thoughtful touches all throughout the boat house and the bikes were a brilliant addition, that made us feel like locals in this amazing city. Has everything you need and more and the bed is so comfy! Can't wait to come back in summer.

Nice and practical
The studio is small but fully equipped and very practical. I stayed there in the winter and even in snowy weather, the temperature inside is mild. Lone is a great host and very helpful. I definitely recommend this place.

Tiny house, but what lovely hosts with lots of amazing details to make one feel comfortable...
One has to get used to being in a tiny house, but we must praise these hosts for being so attentive and paying attention to so many little details. Everything is there one could wish for: the welcome drink, the salt and pepper, the chips, the soaps, etc. and foremost: the cleanliness. And they are keeping up the maintenance all the time. Fresh paint; lilttle repairs, etc. The stairs to get up to the bedroom are steep and take some getting used to, but that is part of being in a tiny house. Value for money: AMAZING! So, thank you!!!

Water calmness
I liked the vicinty of the water. It is very pleasant and soothing to see the water as I get up. And stay on the porch, preferably in the sun, and just relax. There were ducks and swans coming to visit us often (and we gave them some bird food for the winter:)), and even a very cute cat. We had everything needed, in the kitchen and could do nice breakfasts. And could make a very yummy cappucino (my first :)!). Bikes came in very handy as fietsen is the way to go while in Amsterdam. Big comfi bed, nice matress. It is a bit cold at first and the colder air may circulate inside the boat house, maybe through the window above the bed, not sure. There is a termostat and you can regulate the overall temperature to a comfortable warmth. I like it warmer so I was a bit concerned about that.

A wonderful houseboat and perfect for two people. It is a very nice accommodation with a very nice view. In the summer it has to be even more beautiful. The location is perfect. Very nice, clean and cozy apartment. The center is easy to reach.

Fantastic Time
Lone and Eric were wonderful host. They gave us information on transportation and the sites around the city and always responded if we had questions or recommendations. We even had bicycles to ride into town or to the trolley station which we did everyday. The view was fantastic and it was very quiet at night. Extremely relaxing. Not to far from the inner city. Perfect location. Lone and Eric even offered to help us with a taxi for the airport if we needed. They were fantastic and we would absolutely stay here again.

Great Place to Relax
Lone and Eric were excellent hosts at Bed and Boat. They made us feel welcome and left some refreshments and snacks on arrival to get us started. Was really relaxing to sit out on the canal each morning and after a long days sightseeing. Shower was brilliant and the little touches like the Nespresso machine and free umbrella hire made the experience even better. With a Metro station ten minutes away, we would definitely stay here again.

Great everything
From complimentary beer and wine in the fridge, to the use of two great bikes (think 20euros per day) to a tranquil deck to watch the boats go by, this place is 6stars on my scale. We wanted to be away from the hussle and bustle of city center but with easy access, which is what the bikes provided (in addition to a great sense of the bike culture.) Hosts we friendly and helpful at every turn. Upstairs bed no big deal, and very comfy. On our last day we rented a car at the airport which was simple to get to via public bus (397). We also took the bus from the airport when we arrived - if you are good with Google maps it is very easy to do...and of course, much cheaper. Really a nice place for our 4 nite stay.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot, es hat nichts gefehlt. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Des Weiteren durfen wir, Kaffee, Zucker, Tee usw nutzen, bzw wurde uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Vermieter waren äußerst gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Und durch die Benutzung der Fahrräder konnten wir auch die Umgebung schön erkunden. Die Unterkunft kann man sehr empfehlen. Top.

Tolles Hausboot Feeling
Der Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot im Süden von Amsterdam war ein tolles Erlebnis. Unsere Gastgeber haben uns mit frischen Blumen, Getränken und Naschereien willkommen geheißen. Auf der flussseitigen Terasse am Hausboot konnte man sehr schön dem Treiben auf dem Wasser zuschauen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in ca. 15 Gehminuten oder 5 Fahrradminuten Entfernung. Ins Stadtzentrum kommt man mit verschiedenen Bussen und Bahnen (10-15 Gehminuten zur Haltestelle) oder dem Fahrrad. Wir haben immer die zur Unterkunft gehörenden Fahrräder benutzt und sind durch den Vondelpark ins Zentrum gefahren. Die Unterkunft ist klein. Die Bilder geben das gut wieder. Das ist kein Problem, wenn man bei gutem Wetter viel die Terasse nutzt. Bei schlechtem Wetter oder wenn man sich viel in der Unterkunft aufhalten will, sollte man das beachten.

Auf dem Wasser!
Wir haben uns in dem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Hausboot sehr wohlgefühlt! Lone und Eric heißen ihre Gäste sehr liebevoll mit guten Tipps, Getränken und lecker Keksen willkommen. Fahrräder stehen vor der Tür und nach einer kurzen Fahrt durch den schönen Vondel-Park ist alles zu erreichen, was das Amsterdamentdeckerherz begehrt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!
