Brand new and cozy apartment for 2 persons located in the heart of Burgau, close to the beach and restaurants.
The space
Just 200 meters from the white sandy beach of Burgau you will find this brand new yet cozy and atmospheric apartment. Wander down the steep cobbled Burgau streets with white washed houses overgrown with bougainville to the clear blue Atlantic within just 3 minutes.
You’ll find many of the Algarve's best surfing beaches, most beautiful hiking trails and prestigious golf courses within a short drive or even walking distance.
The unique location of Filha do Pisco gives you the freedom to experience the Algarve to the fullest. Enjoy one of many lovely restaurants within walking distance and experience the slow paced life of this tiny traditional fishing village.
The flat is located in a new (2022) boutique apartment building with 14 apartments in total. There is a shared pool area, there is a designated parking place in the apartment building, but there is also plenty of street parking options. The cozy and comfortable balcony offers a view of the traditional town and ocean.

The neighborhood
Burgau is a quiet fishing village, situated between Lagos and Sagres. Sheltered from the wind by the cliffs on a small cove is the lovely Praia do Burgau. It is an excellent base for a relaxing beach holidays or exploring the beautiful Western Algarve. It has some amazing restaurants and bars facing the sea, and there are several other beautiful beaches in the area to explore. If your idea of the perfect holiday is to relax in the sun and swim in the sea, this village will provide everything your heart desire.
Three golf courses are within 15 minutes drive, as are many of the Algarve's best surfing beaches. Only 8 kilometres from the historic town of Lagos with its lively nightlife, bustling yacht marina and a huge variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. Other things to do in the area include surfing, fishing, diving, golf, tennis and hiking.
Getting around
Although public transport is available in the area, it is limited. If you really want to explore the area, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier. Free street parking is available all throughout and around town.

Firstly, the key to the apartment is in a different location to the apartment. This wasn’t a massive deal for us as we had a rental car, however, is worth noting if you do not have your own car.
Secondly, there were not enough domestic items such as toilet paper, soap, washing tablets etc. This meant we had to buy our own as we ran out within the first few days. Would expect more of the above provided considering the price paid for the stay.
Lastly, and this is not a fault of the hosts but something to be aware of. There was a large dog in the apartment next door. The dog was left out on the balcony most of the day and into the evening where it would bark constantly. This made relaxing at the pool and on the balcony incredibly difficult throughout the holiday and definitely took away from our enjoyment.

Whilst the flat was nice, given the price there was a few points that could have been improved in terms of the provided products. There was only two roles of toilet paper for the whole week, no washing powder and no shower gel or shampoo. Given the high price of the property I would have expected these basic necessities to be provided for. Aside from this everything was perfect and I would recommend a stay.

C'est une entreprise qui gère le bien, donc il y a un peu moins de "chaleur" qu'avec un hôte "particulier", mais l'équipe de gestion est sympa et réactive.
L'appartement est bien aménagé, néanmoins, compte tenu du prix payé, je trouve dommage l'absence d'une bouteille d'huile d'olive (même premier prix) et que le pan cassé de la porte de douche ne soit pas remplacé.

Die Abholung des Schlüssels war einfach und der Kontakt mit Rental Valley vorher sehr gut.
Insgesamt ist die Lage von Burgau toll, um von dort aus mit dem Mietwagen einfach und schnell mehrere Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strände zu besuchen.

Sent an email before arrival advising that we would try to reach the Burgau property before 21.00 14/05/23, but no response received from Rental Valley.. So racing by taxi from Faro to the property, 30 mins before arrival we receive a note advising the keys are now to be collected from Lagos... A reluctant taxi driver takes us to Rental Valley Offices, not easily found in the darkness, to a securing box, which wasn't easily opened, so called the contact Sarah, and managed to get the keys out. Frustrated, annoyed, tired and Euros 30 later we arrive at what we believed to be our apartment. Thankfully it was.. Nobody called after all the nights issues to check that we'd actually arrived ok.. Marvellous customer service !
Other problems highlighted with the properties fell on deaf ears(keys jamming/swimming pool/tv), so we gave up in the end. The fridge does not close properly and is defrosting, but this looks like it has been badly installed, and always has been this way... Refusing to reimburse our Euro 30, and not being interest in resolving issues raised, Rental Valley badly lacks in the customer service and support departments, and will advise our friends to beware or avoid.. Thanks to them, the edge was taken off what was a lovely break.. Dan & Paula Thomas

On arrival the fridge was turned off so we had to turn it on, there was an issue with meeting the host for the key and there was no WiFi. The decor could have been much nicer.

We did not use the pool as this is not very private, no sun loungers and no ladders!! However it is all very new and I am sure they will get round to finishing it off. But on the plus you don’t need it as a beautiful beach is a few mins stroll down the cobble streets. We loved it here although not the apartments fault the road can be noisy.
