This recently renovated house is located in the centre of Olhão, a lovely fisherman town near Faro. Your studio is one of 3 private accommodations inside the building which are all named after one of the main attractions in this area: the nearby located islands Armona, Barreta and Culatra. Your accommodation is private and fully equipped, the patio/terrace areas of the house are shared.
The space
Studio Armona is located on the ground floor of the house with a private entrance. It includes a well-equipped kitchen with a 2-plate induction hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The studio has WiFi and air conditioning, and at the rear, there is a large window that allows good ventilation in the summer. Although there is no separate bedroom, the sleeping area is separated from the living area and feels almost like a separate bedroom. There is a patio adjacent to the studio, usage of the patio is allowed for other guests as well.
The studio is perfect for solo travelers and couples. One infant/young toddler is also welcome.

The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old center with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available and they are located just a couple of minutes walking from the apartment.
Due to the central location, you will have lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from in close vicinity of the apartment. A large supermarket is located at less than 5 minutes walking.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber to travel around. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. Parking in old town Olhão is for free in most places, except along the waterfront. It can be challenging to find it but usually there will be a spot available close to the apartment.

l'appartement est très sympa et joliment décoré.
c'était très propre.
Dans l'annonce il est mentionné que du café, del douche et du shampoing était dans le logement lors de notre arrivée. Nous n'avons rien eu.
Ce qui est dommage aussi, c'est que l'on entend très bien les personnes dans les logements au dessus.
Malgré tout, c'était un très bon séjour.

Negativ: Es war nicht klar, dass es sich um eine Erdgeschoß Wohnung handelt, u. d. abgebildete Dachterasse schien nicht verfügbar zu sein. Die Wohnung roch zuerst muffig. Nach Lüften ging es dann, aber die Wohnungsterasse im Bild war einfach ein Schacht, die nach oben zu anderen Wohnungen ging. Noch schlimmer, die Wohnung direkt oben hat einen kleinen Balkon in diesen Schacht, von den man theoretisch direkt in dem großen Badezimmerfenster schauen könnte. Es gab nur ein kleiner Stück Folie am Fenster, die diese Sicht nicht ausreichend blockierte. Ich müsste eine Strandmatte vor dem Fenster hängen. Auch war ein Fenster vom Schacht zur Küche, gleiches Problem. Der Schacht selbst war nur zum Lüften nützlich. Das Minimum wäre, die 2 Fenster mit Sichtschutz auszustatten.

small and cosy but had most things we needed.
Bed comfortable.
A downside - the hot water took ages to come through and then really wasn’t hot - unpleasant shower experience.
There were cds but no cd player - but there was a Bluetooth speaker.
The outside courtyard was a bit depressing- no chance of sun - I think just there for any smokers.
Rental valley were helpful and overall I would recommend.

If you're planning to work here I would caution that there is only one wifi connection for the whole building and the router is not in this apartment so it's pretty patchy. I'd also say that the rooftop terrace doesn't really "feel" shared. It feels a bit like you're invading the top floor apartment's space... I felt uncomfortable using it as their patio doors open onto the terrace. That's not a huge problem when Olhao itself is so lovely with nice outdoor space, but something to bear in mind.

Le puits de lumière et sa terrasse sont malheureusement trop exiguës mais compensés par le toit terrasse.
Nous avons noté les petits ajustements qui pourraient être appréciables pour les prochains vacanciers:
Un rideau opaque de la fenêtre cuisine, un étendoir pour pouvoir effectuer une lessive d'appoint.
Notre séjour à Olhao début juillet 2023.

Die Ausstattung ist auch top! Besonderes Highlight ist die Dachterasse, auf der man schöne Sonnenuntergänge genießen kann.
Einziges Manko ist der Geruch in der Wohnung. Es riecht nach Abfluss. Wenn man viel unterwegs ist und die Klimaanlage anmacht, ist es aber gut auszuhalten. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft zu empfehlen.

Defektes Abwasser läuft über, so dass man weder im Bad noch im Schlafzimmer lüften konnte ohne,dass es stark nach Kanalisation riecht. Auch vor der Wohnung steht das Abwasser in der Straße.
Rental valley personal antwortet zwar schnell, aber nicht besonders hilfreich. Es gibt keine Waschmaschine und saubere Handtücher kosten 32€. Sollte man länger bleiben, keine gute Option.
