The space
Dutch tradition and modern living come together in our Volendam Old Bridge Residence. Your stylishly decorated private room with private ensuite bathroom is located in a guesthouse with six private rooms in total. All our rooms are modern and light and have a comfortable large double bed and a luxury ensuite bathroom. Each room has coffee and tea facilities.
The guesthouse is located right next to the famous Volendam harbour. Just walk out of the front door and you will be in the middle of everything this traditional Dutch town has to offer. Supermarkets and other shops are just a few minutes walk away.

The neighborhood
Volendam is famous for the traditional Dutch folklore that is still very visible here. Although majority of it is now catered towards tourism, you should not be surprised to see locals pass by in traditional dress and fishing is still a big part of the income for this community.
You will be able to enjoy this folklore while visiting the harbour, the museums and churches.
From Volendam it is only a short way to Amsterdam and Alkmaar if you want to enjoy some city life and to other smaller Dutch towns that are located on the Markemeer and Ijsselmeer lakes such as Marken, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Or how about a day trip to one of the Dutch islands? It is the perfect location to experience many of the aspects that Dutch culture has to offer.
Getting around
From Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct bus to Volendam that take about 30 minutes and goes regularly from early morning to late evening.

we hebben een prima overnachting gehad. het was even lastig om de voordeur te vinden zou makkelijk zijn als er een kleine omschrijving zou zijn waar bijv tegenover cafe... en naast cafe .... de toegang verder met codes perfect. keurige opgang naar boven we hadden een mooie kleine kamer precies zoals omschreven. lekker kopje koffie en thee konden we zetten. geen ruimte om te zitten maar voor enkel een overnachting absoluut prima!!

De locatie kan bijna niet beter. Nette ruimt, leuk ingericht. En zeer goedkoop! Accommodatie bevind zich boven en tegenover een kroeg. Als je zelf tot wat later op pad bent zul je hier geen last van ondervinden. Maar mocht je vroeg naar bed willen gaan dan is deze accommodatie minder geschikt vanwege de harde muziek.

Kleines Zimmer aber alles da was man braucht, sauber und modern, gemütlich Wir waren sehr enttäuscht als wir Abends ankamen und bemerkten, dass das Hotel direkt über einem Pub war. Das stand leider nirgends in der Beschreibung. Die Musik war so laut dass wir jedes Wort verstanden und unser Boden im 2. Stock vibriert hat. Die Leute feierten im Pub und in der kleinen Gasse vor dem Hotel. Da kann man nicht ruhig schlafen wenn die Partys dort bis mindestens 2 Uhr nachts gehen.. Wir mussten leider umbuchen. Das Hotel wollte uns nichts erstatten, dank Booking haben wir jedoch zumindest einen kleinen Teil des Reisepreises zurück bekommen. Schade.

de kamer was prachtig, de douche perfect, de locatie kon niet beter. de trappen. Wij zijn beiden slecht ter been en die trappen was bijna niet op te komen, zeker niet met een koffer. Wij hadden twee nachten geboekt maar zijn na 1 nacht al weggegaan omdat wij niet nog eens die trappen op wilden gaan.

La posizione è eccellente. Il self check-in è molto comodo e avviene tramite codici: non ci sono chiavi per accedere all'edificio e alla stanza. Avrei voluto ricevere le istruzioni per accedere alla struttura più in anticipo.

Wir waren 5 Nächte in der Unterkunft und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man hat alles was man braucht in der kleinen Unterkunft. Und die Lage ist auch sehr schön! Man ist in Volendam direkt an der Promenade zum Wasser und auch die Bushaltestelle um nach Amsterdam zu gelangen ist fußläufig in 5-8 min erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es ist recht dicht an Hafen und somit ein kurzer Weg zum Wasser und Restaurants - für große Menschen sehr blöd gebaut - Spinnweben an den Wänden, Dreck auf dem Boden und Fliegengitter defekt und die Fenster ließen sich nicht korrekt öffnen - sehr starker Lärm von der Straße und Restaurants

Good location and room and bathroom facilities very clean. I specially liked the coffee making facilities. Only defect was the mosquito screen which had come loose from the screen. Entrance was dirty, with rubbish just outside the door. Instructions for check in and check out were simple and clear.

Das Zimmer machte einigen guten Eindruck... Aber die Zimmertüre konnte ohne Code geöffnet werden. Somit war klar, dass wir die Türe nicht abschließen können, wenn wir rausgehen.
Da das Wetter schlecht war, Regen, war das Zimmer extrem kalt. Die Heizung hat nicht reagiert.
Ich habe dass sofort schriftlich gemeldet. Mehr als einmal. Danach bekamen wir eine Telefonnummer. Ging nicht. Ich sandte unsere WhatsApp Nummer. Da schrieben sie nur, das wir nicht erreichbar sind.
Das ist eben dieser Personallosen Zutritten. Nur Codes, keiner da. Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht. Somit hätte ja jemand Zeit gehabt uns zu besuchen. Die Reinigung war ja am nächsten Tag im Haus und hat andere Zimmer gereinigt.
Unseres nicht…..
Und die fühlten sich nicht angesprochen, als wir unser Problem erklärten…
Auch fehlte ein Stuhl oder ein kleiner Tisch.
