This very private cottage is situated on a quinta. It has a spacious beautiful garden with a bbq area and a safety fence that can be closed if you come with small children. The pool is shared with 2 other studios and 1 villa.
The separate bedroom has 2 single beds next to each other. In the living room, you will find a sofa bed for 2 persons (140 x 200).

The neighborhood
Located in the peaceful area of Montinhos da Luz, the centre of Luz with all its shops, restaurants and facilities is just a stroll away. The historic centre of Lagos and award-winning golf courses are just a short drive away!
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
There is a bus stop nearby the quinta from where you can travel to Lagos. You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

When we needed ,this time we asced for a mop,instantlie is was provided.

Die Lage war für uns okay, aber zu Fuß zum einkaufen oder essen ist eigentlich nicht möglich. Dafür gelangt man direkt ab der Unterkunft auf den super schönen Wanderweg zwischen Luz und Burgau. Perfekt zum Joggen!
Der Pool ist auch sehr schön! Außerdem hat jedes Appartement einen Grill, den wir gerne genutzt haben! Die Anlage ist gepflegt.
Der Trockner ist Gold wert! Dieser wird gemeinschaftlich genutzt.
Zudem:
super Service: Karolina hat uns im Vorfeld informiert, dass wir früher ins Appartement können! Das ist ein toller Service, sehr sympathisch! Danke 🙏🏻 gerne wieder.

Ein genereller Kritikpunkt für alle Unterkünfte, die ich in Portugal besucht habe bleibt stehen: Die Fotos sind offensichtlich vom Neuzustand der Unterkunft gemacht worden. Tatsächlich waren Türen von Schubläden abgebrochen, Wasserleitungen/Dichtungen im Bad undicht und insgesamt die Unterkunft einige Jahre alt. Das ist alles in Ordnung und tollerierbar, es ist aber nicht fair diese Dinge nicht zu erwähnen. M.E. ist das eine Gegebenheit die länderspezifisch zu beobachten ist. Bspw. in Schweden (im letzten Jahr) entsprachen die Unterkünfte exakt der Beschreibung. Wenn etwas älter war, stand es dabei, wenn etwas nagelneu war ebenso.
Ich finde es wichtig dies im Vorfeld deutlich zu sagen. Das ist nur fair. Leider geht dies aus den vorangegangenen Bewertungen nicht hervor.

There was nothing broken, we had to redo a part of the completely new kitchen to reach a part of the electricity. So everything was 100% new as we explained to you during your check-in.
We have now edited the pictures to match the newly renovated situation.

La casa es tal cual se ve en las fotos y tienes todo lo necesario para que la estancia sea perfecta.
Utilizamos mucho la terraza para desayunar comer y cenar (eso sí, recomiendo llevar repelente de mosquitos) y también la parrilla para varias comidas.
La piscina estaba genial, fuimos con un peque de 3 años y la disfrutamos muchísimo.
La zona es muy tranquila y tiene muy cerca un supermercado continente donde puedes hacer la compra necesaria. Además, está cerca de lagos y de varias playas maravillosas.
La comunicación fue buenísima en todo momento, ya que tuvimos un pequeño problema con la ducha y con una sartén y lo arreglaron muy rápido.
Ya estamos planeando las próximas vacaciones para ver si podemos repetir destino y alojamiento.

A enorme "população" de mosquitos e melgas existentes no interior da casa não permitirão uma única noite de descanso a toda a família.
O facto de não ter um simples pequeno almoço também não é comodo, pois é sempre necessário realizar uma deslocação com viatura.

Maison bien placée pour visiter. Il a fait très beau, pourtant en Mars.
Jolie terrasse avec Barbecue. Vous pouvez aller à pieds jusqu'aux falaises qui surplombent la mer, et y marcher jusqu'au village par les sentiers.
Niels est très discret, bien qu'il habite juste à côté. Il répond très vite aux questions posées.
Dans la chambre, nous aurions préféré un lit de 160 ou 180 (plutôt que 2 lits de 90 collés, mais c'est un choix personnel, cela plait à certains).
Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour.

Enough space for things and relaxation. Comfortable beds. Kitchen with sufficient equipment, we did not complain about the lack of something.
The owner is very nice and polite, offers advice about the area and available attractions.
The decor of the apartment may be a bit old-fashioned, but the furniture is comfortable and functional. The bathroom is quite large, and probably requires a slight modernization and cleaning of some nooks and crannies. However, overall our stay was pleasant and we didn't really complain about the quality and the rental price is very reasonable. A convenient place to park the vehicle next to the apartment. It's a bit outside the village and you might need a car for shopping or going to the beach.

Leider gibt es nur eine Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer! Im Schlafzimmer wurden wir leider von Moskitos aufgefressen und es war sehr warm aufgrund der fehlenden Klimaanlage!

Das kleine Häuschen ist als Unterkunft sehr zu empfehlen. Die Einrichtung ist schick und man hat viel Platz, denn die Räume sind wirklich großzügig geschnitten. Wir waren mit unserem 2 jährigen Sohn da und hatten eine entspannte Zeit. Babybett und Hochstuhl waren vorhanden, selbst der Pool ist mit einem Zaun gesichert.
Ende September/ Anfang Oktober ist eine sehr gute Reisezeit für diese Gegend, denn es ist noch warm, aber die Strände sind nicht überfüllt. Leider bekommt man nicht viel von Portugal mit, denn die Region ist komplett auf Touristen ausgelegt.

We have been welcomed by Manouk and Bryan. Both taked care of us with many nice attention, good advise and provided everything we needed during our stay (baby bed, baby chair, etc.).
The cottage, and the quinta are like in the photos, beautiful, peaceful, with a lot of space.
The swimming pool was perfect for all of us as it goes deeper and deeper. And we really enjoyed the BBQ.
For the location, two beaches are very closed to the quinta. And, for other spots to visit, we were not far from all of them (for instance, Odeceixe is at less than 1 hour by car, praia da marinha or benagil 45 minutes...).
For sure, we recommend Quinta da Libertade.

L’ espace commun avec la piscine est très joli et bien aménagé
Ainsi que la terrasse privée avec coin barbecue .
Les 2 pièces sont spacieuses
Par contre énormément de moustiques la nuit et petits détails dans la cuisine à revoir ..
