This completely renovated family quinta opened its doors in summer 2018. This studio apartment is all you need for a great romantic holiday.

We also rent out other studios and a 4 bedroom villa on this quinta. We share the garden and the pool together. But each unit has its own private area.

The neighborhood
Located in the peaceful area of Montinhos da Luz, the centre of Luz with all its shops, restaurants and facilities is just a stroll away. The historic centre of Lagos and award-winning golf courses are just a short drive away!
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
There is a bus stop nearby the quinta from where you can travel to Lagos. You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. Cleaning fees will be refunded to the guest in case of cancellation within 14 days of arrival. We strongly advise taking cancellation insurance for your trip to avoid possible financial loss.

Wir waren im November da, bei wechselhaft Wetter, wenn es zu kühl ist um die schöne Anlage zu nutzen und es abends früh dunkel wird, ist der eine Raum nicht ganz optimal. Aber dafür kann der Gastgeber ja nichts, die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben und das preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist fair. Im Sommer ist es sicher schön, dem Pool zu nutzen oder auf der großen Gemeinschaftsterasse zu sitzen. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht.
Die Kommunikation mit Karolina war super! Vielen Dank!

Gentilissima Karolina, la ragazza che gestisce la struttura. Il nostro volo ha avuto un ritardo e siamo arrivati in tarda serata, ma abbiamo ricevuto informazioni molto chiare per accedere all'appartamento in autonomia.
Posizione a 5 minuti di macchina da Luz e 15 minuti da Lagos. Si può arrivare facilmente a piedi alla scogliera per fare un'escursione lungo la costa.
(E' consigliato avere un'auto ha disposizione)
Se proprio bisogna trovare una cosa negativa, mancava lo scolapasta :P

Die Klimaanlage wurde nicht warm. Der Fernseher war defekt.
Es war sehr hellhörig, die Nachbarn waren laut. Kein Schallschutz.
Die Fliesen im Pool waren kaputt.
Keine schriftliche Beschreibung von der Umgebung.

Wow!!
Nous croyions que la lessiveuse était dans notre appartement mais était plutôt au rez-de-chaussée et devions la partager avec les autres locataires… S’en avons bien accommodé.
Recommandons cet Airbnb sans hésitation.

Fußläufig gelangt man zu tollen Wanderwegen entlang der Küste, außerdem kann man direkt nebenan Yoga machen.
Leider hat die gleichzeitig anwesende Großfamilie besonders abends nicht auf eine angemessene Lautstärke auf dem Balkon geachtet, sodass es etwas Laut war. Dafür konnte aber natürlich der Gastgeber nichts.
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Nothing particularly negative to flag. Despite the general and clear rules, some guests have been very noisy chatting on the balcony at 1-2am, but that's just lack of good manners and common sense that falls outside the hosts' responsibility. The accommodation is approx. 15 minutes drive from Lagos so renting a car needs to be considered when booking.

Betreuung vor Ort sehr nett und hilfreich.
2. Anmeldung und Kaution bei Agentur nötig. Formulare waren teilweise auf dem Natel schwierig zu bearbeiten. Kommunikation dazu nicht gut und sehr aufwendig.
Aussicht auf den Parkplatz eines anderen Hotels von dem man direkt in das Zimmer und zum Pool sehen kann. Deshalb auch immer sehr unruhig wenn diese Gäste kommen und gehen.

Hosts were always friendly and helpful.
Communication was quick and we received a lot of useful info for trips, restaurants and co.
The appartment is bright and cosy. There is everything you need. The pool is nice for refreshing after a hot day at the beach. Location is quiet and perfect for doing trips to Lagos, Sagres and many more.
Would definitely recommend it!

Cool and kind hosts (Niels and Viv) and managers too (Bryan and Manouk).
A fully equiped studio with everything you need and more. Nice little attentions from the owners and managers.
The view from the front terrace brought me to tears with that nice sunset and the stars at night. We really felt we were in a special place.
We are a couple with a 4 months old baby girl. Everything was easy going. We didn’t know what to expect with the shared pool and backyard area since we normaly stay in « individual appartments ». Well, even though there were other residents in the other studios during our whole stay, we didn’t even hear them. We would sometimes meet at the pool, but never had any issue with noise.
Overall, la quinta da liberdade is well located, a little outside town from the bigger cities like Lagos, but really easy to find and from maybe 5-10 minutes by car from everything you need (grocery, beaches, etc). But!...we are not the kind of travelers looking for touristic places like Lagos, so if you are like that too, you will totally be happy at Quinta da Liberdade :)
We recommend this place without any hesitation and would comeback anytime.

Auch die Wohnung war sehr süß eingerichtet, sauber und praktisch.
Der Pool groß und immer sehr sauber.
In der Küche fanden wir das Nötigste und haben für uns nötige Dinge einfach ergänzt, denn der Supermarkt ist mit dem
Auto gut zu erreichen.
Die Strände sind mit dem Auto in ca 10-15 Minuten zu erreichen, zu Fuß braucht man entsprechend länger.
Auch verschiedene Restaurantes erreicht man in Burgau nach etwas 20 Gehminuten auf einem sehr schönen Küstenwanderweg,
den man übrigens sehr weit laufen kann und auch sollte. (Mal so als Tip)
Wir haben unseren Sonnenschirm für die nachfolgenden Gäste in der Wohnung gelassen und ich hätte es toll gefunden, wenn es
in der Wohnung auch Badehandtücher geben würde, denn die nehmen im Koffer immer seeehr viel Platz weg.
Die Wohnung ist ein wenig hellhörig, aber wir hatten immer Glück mit den Nachbarn, sind da aber auch nicht so empfindlich.
Alles in allem... wir würden unseren Urlaub dort wieder verbringen.
