The space
Welcome to your spacious 45 sqm apartment, located on the 1st floor, perfect for a family holiday or a beach getaway with friends. As you enter, you'll find closet space for your belongings and to your left, the fully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing home-cooked meals. Moving to the right, you'll find the modern bathroom, complete with a shower and toilet. Continuing straight ahead, you'll enter the open-plan living, dining, and sleeping area, furnished with two single beds combined into a double and an additional single bed. This space offers plenty of room to relax and unwind after a day of adventure.
On the left side of the living area, you'll have access to the North-East facing balcony, a peaceful spot to enjoy the fresh air. Don't forget to make your way up to the rooftop terrace for the best views of Luz Bay, it's a great place to take in the scenery. For your comfort, the apartment is equipped with an AC unit, as well as electric heaters to keep you cozy during cooler nights.
This apartment is just a 2-minute walk from the beach, perfect for those looking to enjoy surfing, diving, snorkeling, and sailing. You'll also be within walking distance of bars, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to enjoy the local area. Whether you're here for relaxation or adventure, this apartment offers everything you need for a memorable stay.

The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. Shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. Set amidst spectacular coastal scenery you can take your time to explore the stunning cliffs, undiscovered beaches, neighbouring quaint villages and the national park. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the regional capital, Lagos, if you want a bit more action.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
Free public parking nearby. Parking in front of the apartment is not always possible in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. Cleaning fees will be refunded to the guest in case of cancellation within 14 days of arrival. We strongly advise taking cancellation insurance for your trip to avoid possible financial loss.

Schön wären bequemere Matratzen und eine etwas bessere Ausstattung der Küche.
Es riecht etwas muffig und Wäsche trocknet sehr schlecht, da es etwas feucht ist.

j'avais demandé initialement un lit parapluie pour ma fille de 2 ans, il n y en avait pas, l'appartement disposait de peu d'éléments ménager, plus quelques défaillance à signaler entre autre la porte du meuble de la salle de bains.

Leider war das Appartement nicht sehr sauber, es war leider nicht mal etwas zum Reinigen vorhanden ( Wischmop oder so )
Es ist dort sehr hellhörig ( Strasse, andere Mieter ). Verdunklung für die Fenster ( ausser Terrassentüren ) leider nicht vorhanden.

The location also in great, 5 min from the beach and right above a super good tapas restaurant!
Overall, highly recommended if you want to spend a long weekend in Praia da Luz!

Allerdings braucht es mal wieder eine Renovierung (Neue Matratzen, Kissen, Möbel, Geschirr usw.) Die Polster auf den Stühlen waren fleckig und die Liebe fehlt (z.B. kein Sonnenschirm auf dem Balkon)
Wir hatten eine gute Zeit und der Check-In und Check-out funktioniert echt super 😊 Eine Flasche Wasser und ein Wein wurde uns bereitgestellt 😊
Es befindet sich an der Hauptstraße zum Beach auf der viele Restaurants sind und etwas Verkehr (dementsprechend kann es manchmal etwas lauter sein, hat uns jetzt aber nicht gestört)
Wir waren schon öfter in Luz immer in Airbnbs und müssen sagen, dass Preis/Leistung hier leider nicht passt.

Environnement très calme, le restaurant au rez de chaussée est excellent et ne fait aucun bruit, et il ferme vers 23H.
La vue depuis le balcon et depuis la terrasse supérieure est magnifique.
Localisation parfaite pour visiter le Cap Saint Vincent, la grotte de Benagil, Lagos et la ponta de Piedade.
Entrée avec boîte à clef très pratique en cas d’arrivée tardive.

Address given as Rua da Praia, but no locals knew that address. Once we finally stumbled upon Mariner’s the street plaque said Travessa da Praia.

Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über ein paar Willkommengoodies: Eine Flasche Wein stand im Kühlschrank, Wasserflaschen waren bereit - was will man mehr. Der Vermieter verschickt vorab ein kleines Heft mit allem Wissenwerten und auch ein paar Ausgehtipps findet man auch im Dokument. Das Apartment hat High Speed Internet. Super!
Ein Tipp ist auch die unglaubliche Tapas-Bar unten im Haus. Diese hat unsere Vorstellungen von Tapas neu definiert. Hammer!
Ausserdem super: Wir konnten flexibel noch einen Tag dran hängen, da unser Flug erst spät abends ging. Mega schnelle Antwort! Alles einfach top!

Unfortunately the place is a bit run down and needs a refresh. Sad too see as small investments (like the kitchen fit out, proper broom to clean etc) could already make a stay so much better…

Schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. 3 minuten lopen van het strand. Gratis parkeren in de omgeving. Kortom een aanrader!

It would've been so easy to make this the perfect place, with just a small investment in a professional cleaning contract, but unfortunately it seemed not to be the case which just ruined the experience.

Micro-ondes qui ne chauffe pas,couverture de la cuvette dévissé,une serviette de bain pp pour tout le séjour,vaisselle abîmé et sale, etandage à linge cassé rouillé...

There was no parasol or sun umbrella to take to the beach. You can even find potato peeler but no sunshade. Pillow were very flat.

La terraza de arriba tiene unas vistas espectaculares, prácticamente para nosotros.
Entraba mucha luz por la mañana , deberían poner persianas o una cortina de mejor calidad.
El baño olía mucho a tubería.
