The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. Shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. Set amidst spectacular coastal scenery you can take your time to explore the stunning cliffs, undiscovered beaches, neighbouring quaint villages and the national park. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the regional capital, Lagos, if you want a bit more action.
The complex is a short walk from the supermarkt, bars, restaurants and other shops and only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful, child-friendly beach. Great for surfing and other watersports activities like diving, snorkeling and sailing. And near one of the many hiking trails down the cliffs.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
You can park for free in Luz. Parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

Free cancellation up to 14 day(s) before arrival, then 100% cancellation fee.
Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. Cleaning fees will be refunded to the guest in case of cancellation within 14 days of arrival. We strongly advise taking cancellation insurance for your trip to avoid possible financial loss.

At 14:51, we confirmed with you that you could access the accommodation from 16:00, as advertised. By 16:37, you had sent us a picture from inside the building, indicating that you were already inside the premises and that the elevator door was closed. This demonstrates that you had successfully entered the building on time.
Additionally, the building has no doorman but features three entrances, all of which are always open. We can assure you that these doors are never locked, ensuring easy access for all guests.
Regarding our communication, we responded to your initial concerns within 15 minutes and continued to assist you through WhatsApp, as you reached out to us via various channels.

Dommage que nous n'avons pas eu d'eau chaude les deux premiers jours car le ballon s'était mis en sécurité et malgré nos divers échanges avec Rental Valley nous n'avons pas été dépanné et c'est nous qui avons réglé le problème en consultant Internet.

Wohnung liegt in einem großen Gebäude in der es viele Eingänge gibt, war sehr schlecht zu finden.

Auf dem Balkon hat man zu viert sehr angenehm Platz und die Aussicht ist wie erwartet.
Das einzige was man der Unterkunft verübeln könnte ist dass es keine Spülmaschine gibt. Außerdem hat jeder Gast zwei schöne dicke Handtücher (ein sehr großes und ein kleines) bekommen.
Gerne würde ich wieder in diese Unterkunft einziehen.

O único senão talvez os acessos a outras superfícies comerciais , instituições bancárias ou mesmo hipermercados, mas tirando isso pareceu me tudo bem .
O que poderia ser melhorado talvez a comunicação do host, ou quem gerencia o apartamento , pois em termos de comunicação que necessitou de uma resposta imediata não houve.

Cuisine en mauvais état (fuite, meuble bancale) douche qui fuit etc…
Côté ménage… 100€ pour avoir un logement pas très propre c’est pas terrible (vaisselle sale, du sable un peu partout, etc…)

La terraza está muy bien, pero como hay mucho viento, tiene que hacer un día soleado y con poco viento para disfrutarla. Nosotros tuvimos suerte y no nos llovio ni nada.
- Ruido por la noche, en la habitaciòn con cama doble, esta bajo un tejadillo y debe haber una teja o algo flojo, suelto, y con el viento que en Luz es permanente no te deja dormir. Estaba deseando que acabaran las vacaciones, puesto que era insoportable. Hubo un par de días que bajo el ruido, pero no aconsejo ir sin confirmar que ya está arreglado.
- Sabanas con olor, la primera noche al ir a la cama nos llevamos la mala sorpresa de que las sabanas olian fatal; lo comentamos y nos trajeron sabanas limpias, de todos modos, el piso tiene algo de humedad y olores en el baño, osea que si quieres alquilarlo lo tendrás que asumir.
- Y además el piso no estaba limpio, barrido sí, pero estaba asqueroso, con grasa hata en las sillas, de hecho tuvimos que limpiar la cocina, los platos, vasos, tazas y cubiertos que ibamos a usar, y como he dicho al coger una silla estaba pegajosa. Y las ventanas pues una pena, pero todo polvo.

El menaje es algo escaso y tuvimos que pedir que repusieron elementos básicos como jabón, bolsas de basura ya que solo había una bolsa, detergente, etc el segundo día. La comunicación fue fluida y repusieron en el mismo día, aunque lo mínimo posible. Creo que estos detalles bajan mucho la calidad del alojamiento.
La nevera es muy pequeña y no enfría bien, por lo que no se puede hacer una compra grande para cenar o comer en casa a diario.

Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht und war sauber. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Geen werkend internet, wil wifi, maar probleem bleek 3 dagen niet oplosbaar. Erg winderig. Geen avondzon op balkon. Moeilijk vindbaar, slechte info om locatie te vinden. Voordeur sluit alleen met sleutel. Er was er maar 1. sleutel. dus: Groep splitsen niet mogelijk. Iemand alleen achterlaten met deur op slot is levensgevaarlijk bij brand. Persoon kan er niet uit! Onacceptabel!

Very hard to find. Entrance door to the zone of the building was locked and keys were left inside the building by the apartment entrance. Luckily, there was a tenant willing to open this door for me

Il Wi-Fi non funzionava . In camera matrimoniale di notte c’era un rumore costante molto fastidioso, probabilmente causato dal movimento della grondaia con il vento, faticoso dormire senza tappi. Doccia grande ma muro non particolarmente pulito. In camera sotto i letti c’era la distesa di polvere. Il resto ok
