The space
Nothing compares to the views from the top floor lounge at villa Ocean Blue! Gaze out of the window from the comfort of your own home at Martinhal beach, the Sagres Cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean and Natural park. Villa Ocean Blue is modern and tastefully finished, equipped with all of your creature comforts.
Not only does Ocean Blue have some of the most incredible panoramic views, surrounding the property are beautifully landscaped gardens. The patio area meets the heated swimming pool with great views of the Atlantic Ocean and Natural Park. The heated swimming pool is equipped with an electric cover and a removable child safety pool fence. There are two BBQs (one gas and one charcoal) and huge first-floor roof terraces for sitting, outdoor dining and sunbathing.
The villa is set up to accommodate 10 people with an additional 2 children under 12, with 4 spacious bedrooms and another huge children´s entertainment room. The children´s room is another great family-friendly feature of this home as it includes a tennis table, sofas, beanbags, games and a smart TV. It is the perfect place for your kids to chill out and enjoy themselves. There are also four movable beds that can be used in any of the rooms.
3 of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, a family shower room, and an additional WC.
The size and layout of this villa is perfect for 2 or 3 families to share.

The neighborhood
Villa Ocean Blue is located at Martinhal, a luxurious getaway with proximity to stunning beaches, great local seafood restaurants and some of the best surfing spots (famous with world-renowned surfers!).
Getting around
If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended.
Other things to note
➤ smoking is not allowed, parties are not allowed
➤ Swimming pool can be heated at a surcharge of 23-35 euros per night depending on the season. Please let us know about this before your arrival.
➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9pm (late arrival fee after 9pm is 50€)
➤ Check-out time: before 10am
ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known for short as, SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival we shall send to you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us prior to your arrival. It is mandatory requirement.

Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. The house was nice but the bathrooms could do with an upgrade. Our shower was held together with a bandage....

Regarding the shower, the 'bandage' you mentioned was a temporary fix as the shower support broke just before your arrival. This was the only way to ensure it remained functional during your stay. We completely understand how this might have impacted your experience, and we’re happy to inform you that directly after your departure, a new support was installed to resolve the issue permanently.
As for the bin bags, our 'welcome pack' typically includes one spare bin bag, but we normally store additional ones underneath the sink for our guests' convenience. If there were no extras during your stay, this was an oversight on our part, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Regarding the resort facilities, we understand the importance of access to nearby amenities, and we always encourage our guests to check the specific inclusions. We aim to provide clear information about what’s available during the booking process, and we’ll take your feedback into account to ensure better clarity for future guests.

The only downside was the weather. In August and September, Sagres can be quite windy, so we ended up traveling about an hour to Lagoa and other beaches for better conditions.

The only downside of this place is the location. You are kinda trapped in a resort community, but now allowed to use even the restaurants and bar at the hotel.
Be wary of the restaurant on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. They are unfriendly and purposely tried to rip us off charging for chairs we did not use. It is worth a trip into town for better food and atmosphere.

I am sorry if you were under the impression that it is not allowd to speak or smoke outside after 10pm. You informed us of the intention to have a birthday celebration at the villa. That is why we put some extra emphasis on sharing our house rules. These say that there cannot be any disturbances and no excessive noise or loud music outside, especially after 10pm - nothing that is potentially audible outside of the property. But of course, as I tried to explain to you when we spoke on the phone before your arrival, a regular conversation is no issue at all!

That said, get the specific address of the place before you start driving. The map links lead to an incorrect address. It took 20 minutes of searching in the sub-division and a new pin from the rental agency to find the house. I’m addition, ask about and be ready for “surprise incidentals”. The first time we to pay $$$ to check in after the check-in time (didn’t know this till the agency messaged asking for cash in hand when checking in). Similarly, we loved that the pool could be heated for a price (we paid for and loved that option), but would have liked to know that at the time of booking.
Overall, I’d recommend this place if you’re in the area!!!

Sagres is a great location - would recommend both Mar Ilimitado & A Tasca.
Hosts were always quick on communication and made the entire process very straightforward.
