The space
Lemon Tree Apartment is a stylish, one-bedroom apartment tucked away in the backstreets of the friendly town of Luz.
This is a sleek one-bedroom apartment, and is decorated in a modern fashion. It offers an open plan kitchen and living room which catches lots of sunlight through the doors that lead to the outside area. Once you are outside, there is a quaint seating area with views out onto the ocean; perfect for soaking in the sun in the comfort of your own apartment.
The apartment does not go without it’s useful gadgets either. Lemon Tree offers Wifi and even a smart TV with an English version of Netflix! It also has a washing machine and a small storage room just outside the apartment.
The apartment has one-bedroom with a king-size bed. In addition to this, there are 2 folding footstools that can fit 2 smaller children if needed. This apartment has one shower room with a toilet and spacious walk-in shower.

The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. Shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. Set amidst spectacular coastal scenery you can take your time to explore the stunning cliffs, undiscovered beaches, neighbouring quaint villages and the national park. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the regional capital, Lagos, if you want a bit more action.
The complex is a short walk from the supermarkt, bars, restaurants and other shops and only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful, child-friendly beach. Great for surfing and other watersports activities like diving, snorkeling and sailing. And near one of the many hiking trails down the cliffs.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
You can park for free in Luz. Parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

A casa é muito boa para um casal, ou para um casal com 1 a 2 filhos. Tem uma boa casa de banho, com bom duche e boa pressão de água. A cozinha tem o necessário e é bastante funcional. Seria bom uma atualização do frigorífico. A zona é muito tranquila, acesso à praia em 2 minutos, boa praia, não tão cheia como noutras zonas de Algarve e fácil acesso a restaurantes e super mercado. Fica perto de Lagos, de carro, o que também é uma vantagem. Tivemos sempre estacionamento perto da casa. A varanda também é um espaço agradável para refeições, jantámos sempre lá. Esperávamos que a vista fosse como na imagem, mas essa vista é apenas visível no fundo do terraço e, com a vegetação que cresceu, já se vê menos. No entanto, foi apenas um pormenor nas nossas férias. Für eine entspannten Urlaub in der Vorsaison ist Lemon tree sehr schön. Alles ist am Ort fussläufig zu erreichen , die Fotos in der Anzeige entsprechen der Wirklichkeit. In der Hauptsaison ist gegenseitige Rücksichtnahme der vielen Nachbarn sicher wichtig.

We loved our stay in Luz and will be returning next year. We felt right at home in this adorable town. The people, the restaurants, the weather and the beautiful seaside town all made for our favorite vacation to date. De geur van de slechte afloop van sanitair, zowel in keuken als badkamer op sommige momenten onhoudbare stank, op andere momenten geur ook nog waar te nemen.... jammer.
Schimmelprobleem in slaapkamer, hoofdeinde van bed ruikt naar schimmel, was twee jaar geleden ook al. Jammer dat dit nog niet opgelost is. We kiezen niet meer voor deze accommodatie ook al is de ligging fantastisch!

Every thing was a dream except that the bathroom smells terribly! The shower drain seems a bit clogged so the water doesn’t drain well too much humidity in the bathroom…Had to jack the ventilator on the sink!

La ubicación (muy próxima a la playa), la tranquilidad, era un apartamento moderno y práctico y una de las terraza tenía vistas al mar.

Avantages: Super belle endroit et localisation pour la plage et les restaurants, il y a des parasols pour la plage ce qui est vraiment utile, la vue est incroyable !!
Désavantage : il manquait de serviette et savon pour la vaisselle, il faisait très chaud la nuit et nous avons trouvé des coquerelles dans la salle de bain durant la nuit

Schöne Unterkunft, top ausgestattet mit schöner Terrasse. Praia da Luz ist etwas touristisch, doch die Gegend war sehr ruhig. Tolle Theke in der Küche, die sich perfekt zum Spielen eignet. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

The location is great! Apartment is very cozy, clean and comfortable. Host was really nice. We were late for checkout, which is a bit early when you are with a baby, but the host showed understanding and gave us the required time to check out. I highly recommend!!!

The high-quality bed linens and towels added to our comfort, and we were delighted to be welcomed with a bottle of wine!
The location is peaceful and quiet, and it’s only a short drive to Lagos, where you can visit places like Ponta de Piedade and the old town. The property management was very responsive and accommodating, even allowing us an extra hour for check-out.

Das Airbnb und die Lage sind eigentlich sehr schön.
Leider war die Küche schmutzig (Küchenablage wurde nicht gereinigt verschmiert fettig, Boden war fettig) und es gab am meisten.
Die Kommunikation mit Rental Valley war super und sie waren hilfsbereit, jedoch hat das Reinigungspersonal nichts von dem umgesetzt was besprochen wurde bis zur Abreise.
Ansonsten kann ich die Unterkunft empfehlen auch die Lage, der Strand war in kurzer Zeit zu Fuss erreichbar und schön.

Virkelig skønt placering, lige ud til havet. Dejlig nabolag med ro, dog kan værelserne hurtigt føles varmt og indelukket, da de kun har en lille fan, ellers er der intet at klage over. Check ind og check ud foregik super nemt. Alt i alt er virkeligt skønt ophold, ville helt klart anbefale!

Een mooi, schoon en rustig gelegen appartement met geweldig uitzicht. Je ziet zelfs een stuk strand en de rotsen. Op loopafstand van het strand, van de kleine boulevard, van lekkere restaurants, van de wandelroutes over de rotsen richting Lagos en naar Burgau. Twee supermarkten in het dorp en de Lidl vlakbij in Lagos. Het appartement is goed ingericht met fijn bed en grote kledingkast. Prima douche en keuken. Er is geen vaatwasser maar wel een wasmachine en overdekt terras met meubels en zelfs een ligbed. Genoten van dit fijne appartement.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen. Man läuft nur wenige Minuten bis zum Strand und der Ausblick kann sich auch sehen lassen.
Die Wohnung ist recht modern eingerichtet, aber leider nicht besonders sauber. Hier gibt es keinen Geschirrspüler weshalb die Gäste selbst abwaschen. Das ist auch ok, aber besonders die Küchenutensilien sollten vor dem Besuch neuer Gäste noch einmal auf Sauberkeit geprüft werden. Außerdem hat das Kopfteil des Bettes sehr modrig gerochen. Das war der Grund, weshalb wir nicht wirklich einen angenehmen Schlaf hatten. Wir mussten Nachts durchweg lüften und mit den Köpfen auf der anderen Seite liegen, damit es erträglich war.
Wir fanden es wirklich schön, dass es hier zusätzliche Decken gab mit denen man sich in den kühlen Abendstunden hätte zudecken können. Jedoch befanden sich darauf Flecken, was uns an der Nutzung gehindert hat.
Alles in einem hatten wir hier eine schöne Zeit, aber die fehlende Sauberkeit hat den Wohlfühlfaktor definitiv gemindert

Pretty apartment. Rental valley were helpful when we had a problem. Location excellent. Kitchen good, though a “fully equipped kitchen “ should probably have a microwave.
The apartment electrics seemed insecure and cut out completely at one point, we had to get Rental Valley to help. The heaters were tricky but worked in the end.

I loved my one month stay. Ideal location and a great patio and view. Unit is modern, quiet and thrifty ikea furnished. Some items a little older and could use a spruce up but nothing that would diminish a good rating. Great communication and easy check-in. Excellent wi-fi. I would definitely rent again.

The apartment is exactly as described. The view from the patio is lovely. The flowers and lemon tree are sweet. The kitchen had all amenities except a coffee maker. There is a lovely coffee shop just down the hill. We used the washing machine - very helpful to us as we are on a six week vacation. The bed is comfortable. The sliding doors front and back afford nice cross breeze. The fan was helpful on days it was hot. I loved the shower with rain head. It was a great experience in a beautiful location. The Algarve is stunning.

Great location 2 mins away from a great large beach. The 2 small beds in the living room can unfold to single bed in case you wonder. Need to ask for bed sheets in advance for them. Great view from patio. Was very quiet to sleep but we were in low season. Beach feeling village. Not too busy in October, quaint little village with some very good restaurants very close to the condo. Driving distance to Portimão and the caves. Close to small grocery stores.
Need improvement:
No air condition, was 30-32c in October and we could have use a bit of cooling before going to bed (My mistake ). No microwave and when it’s 30-32c, you don’t feel like using stove nor oven (my mistake) . Next time I need to pay more attention to amenities as I though A/C and MW were standard…

There was nothing at all wrong with the property although I think a change of towels and bedding would be a good idea especially if you are staying for two weeks or more! There is a laundrette near the spar however I think it would have been a nice touch for this service to have been provided!

Apartment was clean with beautiful views! Heads up, the place does not have AC so it can get hot in the summer heat. It was well stocked with cooking supplies and the directions for check in were easy.

Flat was comfortable and clean. There were some inconveniences for example the street light near the bedroom door which were splashing all night long or that electricity disappeared in our last day. But the flat and location is lovely.

This apartment was absolutely perfect. You get a view of the ocean, it’s a couple minutes walk.
The town of Luz is adorable. There are restaurants and such a quaint community.
The place itself has a bedroom that’s perfect. There are two single bed cots that pull out in the living room if you have kids or an extra guest who doesn’t mind a single.
Check out was a bit strict- we had to leave by 10am and check in by 4pm. It would’ve been more convenient to have a later check out and earlier check in and we tried asked for some flexibility on it but we’re told no. We also asked for one extra bath towel (you’re provided 1 big one, 1 small one per person) and we’re told it was a 25 euro charge which felt a little strict. Those would be the only two very small cons.
It was overall a fantastic place, location, amenities etc. and the rental company was very quick with responses. I would def stay here again and recommend it to friends.

I had a really beautiful Stay with a beautiful View and just a few minutes from the Beach. Everything was super clean & the communication was easy. I also could check-in a bit earlier & i was thankful for that. Thank you for that extra step towards me. I loved it a lot.

My wife and I booked our first VRBO in Praia da Luz Portugal, 10 nights end of May and into early June.
For me to say we had a wonderful time would not come close to doing justice.
I went to AAA and obtained an IDP or International Driving Permit.
Driving into Luz everything seemed so quaint and clean.
The key was in the lock-box by the door, so in we went.
The apartment was small and charming and had everything we needed.
Don’t forget to get your AC power converter’s for the wall sockets they use a different connection.
Out to the terrace in front, the view of the other buildings against the ocean was spectacular.
Off to the left at the end of the pristine beach is the huge black rock jutting out into the Atlantic.
From our apartment within easy walking distance there where at least 10 delicious restaurants/bars with some right on the beach.
There were 2 grocery stores, pharmacies and an awesome Homemade Ice Cream Factory.
I taught myself how to make coffee with a French press out of necessity that turned out to be good and strong.
I am a medical cannabis patient and I was able to bring my THC cookies, dry flower, vapes and paperwork without any questions or hassles going through customs in both directions.
VRBO lived up to the hype, and our stay was an 11 on a scale of 10.
Giving up Yankees baseball tough, but I could easily retire in Luz, Portugal.

Es gibt eine kleine Terrasse, für zwei Personen ist die Wohnung perfekt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Man merkt, das die Eigentümer regelmäßig persönlich dort wohnen. Die Nachtbarschaft ist ruhig und freundlich. Die Agentur Rental Valley ist ansprechbar und jederzeit zu helfen bereit. Wir hatten Probleme mit dem Türschloss, das wurde schnell behoben. Wir danken für schöne Tage an der Algarve und kommen gerne wieder.

We would highly recommend this property in Luz! The apartment was clean and spacious in a safe neighborhood. The landscaping was very beautiful. The best part was the water view from the private front porch. There is parking. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach with many great restaurants and coffee shops. Luz is a lovely city with very friendly people. We will be back!

The appartment is spacious and well equipped. Nice small patio with the view towards the see. Internet is stable.
All issues were solved by the remote support service to our full satisfaction.
There is no staff. Self check in (you will get a long pdf with instructions), so you should have internet to download it.
No air conditioning here, although you can survive without it (beginning of sept).

The apartment and location was amazing. Our one issue (which is why I can only give 4 stars) is that when we arrived the whole place smelled like mildew, and really badly in the bedroom. We finally figured out the sheets had been put on the bed wet and we had to immediately wash them and then sleep on blankets the first night. Considering you pay a cleaning fee, it’s a shame to have to do the laundry and clean the kitchen before you leave. Very minor, but a trash bin in the bathroom would have been nice. Other than that, you can’t beat the location and it was a modern cozy beach house.

Die Wohnung befindet sich in wunderschöner Lage in einem kleinen Ort. Der Ort ist traumhaft und die Aussicht wundervoll. Wir würden diese Wohnung sofort wieder buchen.
In der Ausstattung ist leider keine Kaffeemaschine vorhanden, weshalb wir uns den Kaffee einfach woanders gekauft haben.
Wichtig war uns, dass wir Parkmöglichkeiten vor der Haustüre haben, denn das hat und vieles erleichtert und war sehr angenehm. Wir haben immer einen Parkplatz bekommen.
Im Bad machte wich teilweise ein etwas strenger Geruch breit, das lag aber vermutlich an den Leitungen und war meistens nicht weiter schlimm. Sonst schien die Wohnung sehr sauber und gefplegt zu sein und auch das Bad ist schön.
Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Contrairement à ce qui était prévu dans l'annonce il n'y avait pas de lave vaisselle , ni micro ondes et ni climatisation ! ce qui pour nous était essentiel !
