The space
This stylish, fully equipped two-bedroom apartment is located just a few minutes from the centre of Tavira and is within a short walking distance to the Gran Plaza Shopping Centre.
This modern air-conditioned apartment is fully equipped with everything that you need for your holiday and more. Situated on the ground floor you have a small terrace leading from the kitchen, which is ideal to have your breakfast or a drink before dinner.
This lovely bright apartment faces south giving you the full morning sun. Tastefully furnished to a high standard with wooden floors throughout the apartment. The lounge offers you the perfect place to unwind after a relaxing day of exploring the local area with its large tv and and free wi-fi. There is also a dining table where you can sample the local wines and fresh produce on offer and enjoy the company of good friends or family.
This apartment consists of two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other, two single beds that can be joined together to make a double bed.
The apartment is located just a short walk to the Gran Plaza shopping centre which has a supermarket, cinema, food court and plenty of shops. A 10-15 min walk and you are in the old town of Tavira which is full of history, set on the river, this is a place that you will want to visit time and time again. With plenty of restaurants offering fresh fish as well as local and international cuisine.
The apartment is located in a secure condominium, with a shared pool and gardens.

The neighborhood
There is a beautiful coastline of unspoilt beaches within a short drive, which are crossed by the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve, considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the Algarve. The Praia de Tavira is the region’s finest and most popular beach, which is connected to Tavira by a regular and inexpensive ferry, which departs from the city centre (10-minute walk from the apartment) and also from Quatro-Aguas. The Island is 11Km long and is thought to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve Region. Many companies offer boat tours, including kayaking and paddle boarding.
The town’s leisure centre is next door to the condominium which offers superb leisure facilities including a 25 metre, 8-lane indoor pool, 5 newly resurfaced tennis courts and an Astroturf.
Tavira is also a great location for golfers with a range of courses close by offering beautiful scenery in peaceful surroundings, including Monte Rei which has been ranked as the best course in the Algarve.
Tavira is well known for its quaint traditional streets, where old meets new, and is a great place to do some sightseeing and while away time in the sun with a glass of wine in one of its charming plazas or cobbled streets.
Getting around
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But bus and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended

Un seul jeu de clés pour 4 personnes. Nous avons passé la semaine à nous organiser pour pouvoir entrer et sortir de l’appartement. Lamentable.

Just 5 mins walk from a big shopping centre was handy for a supermarket.
It was 15 /20 mins walk into town/river which wasn’t a problem but the first part of the walk over wasteground and a busy road with no raised footpath wasn’t ideal.
Hadn’t realised it was an agency rent as opposed to owner, so ended up dealing with several people for checkin, but that was largely ok.

Terrace not directly accessible from the apartment, have to go outside or climb over the tiny ground floor balcony (!). This wasn't clear from the photos. The sliding door to the balcony had a broken lock, we informed agency but nothing was done.
There was a safe in the main bedroom that the information pack (in the apartment) said was usable but it is not (only for owner). Ants a bit of a problem (aware this isn't owner/agencies fault, just to inform others).

We only had one set of keys, 🙁. Key required to exit the gated complex as well as the apartment block and the apartment. It meant we had to do everything together.

Situado a las afueras de Tavira, pudiendo ir al centro de la ciudad andando en 20 minutos aproximadamente. Se encuentra cerca de un centro comercial. La hora de salida 10:00 am impide un mayor disfrute del mismo.

Localizaçao acessivel , centro comercial a 5min da casa que facilita as compras do dia a dia.
Nota,convem verificar eqts eletricos.
Facil andar a pe bons acessos para conhecer o sul.
Fomos ate ilha Tavira, Santa Luzia e terra Estreita, Cacela Velha, Praia Verde, Montegordo e Faro Centro.
Piscina cheia de vespas nos cantos, o que nao permitiu usufruir como pensavamos.

Nuevo reluciente y limpio . Aparcamiento privado. A 15 minutos andando del centro de Tavira ( con niños)..centro comercial a 5 minutos.

Deixamos um item no alojamento, aguardo a gentileza do envio por ctt, pagando obviamente os custos de envio. Teria sido elegante ter ligado a lembrar tal facto. Cumprimentos. A varanda é um pouco pequena, senão daria nota máxima ao alojamento, mas também é um pormenor de menos importância. As espreguiçadeiras deveriam estar na piscina na minha humilde opinião.

I think I would recommend the apartment for longer stays more than short ones. We were only there two days so it seemed rushed to unpack and pack in time for check out.
Laundry was a lifesaver!!!
Great for families. Very safe. Near play area. We saw a high chair and the kitchen is great.
It was difficult to arrange key pick up for us as we didn’t know our exact arrival time and you ‘must’ meet the host in person. Check in is late- 16:00/4:00 pm. Check out is early- 10 am - so you really get a partial first and last day. If you have nowhere to store your bags while waiting, this is inconvenient.
No extra soap, etc. bring your own toiletries- the kitchen has all you need for cooking, but you’ll need to bring all the groceries, oil, spices, etc.
We had trouble trusting our messages were getting through the booking agency to the host. We eventually did get connected!
Cookie and cereal crumbs under the bedside table. Lots of bug killer sprays in the house (little worrisome). Spare blankets were wadded up in closets-not folded-wondering… were they clean?
Floors and counters seemed clean and the kitchen was clean.
We did enjoy the stay considering all the small issues.

(You have to question the use of solar panels to heat the water - you had to run the shower for several minutes before you got hot water - waste of an essential commodity in the Algarve -water!
However, no towel or bedding change for a 3 week stay - we were offered a change for 47.50 euros!, no beach towels, only one set of keys, (we were eventually provided with a second set), confusion over parking on premises, (there is parking on site) fob provided would only operate one gate, no cleaning materials and had to clean out vacuum cleaner which was overfull and all filters blocked, poor condition of sun beds, no sun umbrella, balcony area not clean, sofa unit too low and distinctly uncomfortable, as were most of the chairs.

Algum pó acumulado em zonas de menor utilização. As roupas, o chão e restantes superfícies pareciam bem limpos, contudo zonas como o cimo da cabeceira da cama ou à volta das mesas de cabeceira, tinha algum pó acumulado.

A cozinha estava razoavelmente equipada, com exceção das panelas para cozinhar que só eram 3 e demasiado pequenas.
Estive 11 noites sem qualquer substituição de roupas!

Ich habe im Bett beim Kopfkissen in der ersten Nacht ein In-Ohr-Hörgerät gefunden. Die Gastgeber konnten mir nicht sagen, ob es von einer Reinigungskraft oder einem Kunden stammt. Irgendwie bedenklich.

The address given was not accurate, and the google location coordinates were wrong. Also, it would be super helpful if the rental company explained where the recycling/ trash is located and how what to sort

A limpeza. Aliás, acho que dos piores sítios onde estive. Por baixo da cama era um mar de pó; os ares condicionados quase não deitavam ar - abri os filtros e todos cheios de pó.

It would have been better if there was more than one tea towel in the kitchen. Also a couple of washing machine tablets woukd have been handy. The balcony size and huge lump of concrete in front of it was disappointing as we like to sit on the balcony in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine.
