The neighborhood
This home is located next to the water which crosses Halfweg in the middle, a small drive to Spaarnwoude recreation park and of course Dutch oldest steam pumping station! This museum tells everything about pumping water in the year 1852. It is the oldest and largest working steam wheel pumping station in the world.
Getting around
There is a new train station in Halfweg! Only 10 minutes walk to Halfweg station and within 10 minutes you are in Haarlem or in Amsterdam. Zaanse Schans also an option!
Train is the best option to travel with. Takes less time.
Other things to note
➤ Check-in time: 16:00-22:00 (late arrival possible in consultation)
Opposite the house is a fire station barracks. The siren is switched on only in the case of very serious emergencies.All other extensions are without noise.
Close to Schiphol, that is to say about flying planes.
On average no more that 1 to 2 times per day a quarter of an hour of noise nuisance.

There was a power issue to the basement and Rental Valley was responsive and fixed the issue while we were sightseeing for the day - even restarted our laundry so that we were back in track when we returned.
NOTE: If you are unfamiliar with condense dryers, they have a drawer which collects water (instead of venting moisture to the outside) and needs to be emptied after each load.

Leider liegt das Haus in der Einflugschneise und in der Nähe der Hauptstraße.
Trotzdem haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Only "negative" feedback I have is that the lock to our apartment was a bit questionable at times but we managed to lock it and unlock it on demand! :) The TV and oven was also set in Dutch so it was a bit difficult for us to figure out how to use the oven. Other than that it was an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend this for my friends and family, I would also stay here again :)

The house is located in a very nice area next to the water,10min walk to shops,a big supermarket and also some restaurants.
The train station is 10min walk away if u wanna get to Amsterdam Central it takes 11min, 2 stops.
For sure I will be revisiting this house on my next trip to The Netherlands.

Had all necessary essentials and free parking on premises.
Host responded promptly to all queries and was very helpful
Only complaint is house was a bit hot really needed air conditioning or more than one fan.
