Kaag Resort is a boutique apartment complex with an open waterway to the Kaag and Braassemer Lakes. The ideal spot for anyone who is passionate about water!
Your apartment is spacious (60m2), bright and completely private on the second floor. You will have 1 bedroom with comfortable boxsprings and a 25m2 open plan living room, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The sofa in the living room easily converts into a comfortable sofa bed for 2. The bathroom and toilet are separate and you have a private balcony (15m2) that overlooks the marina and the water.

The neighborhood
The Kaag Resort recreation apartments are located right beside the river Leede. This river is an open waterway to the Kaag Lakes, the Braassemmer Lake, and the city centre of Leiden. The perfect location to take a tour by boat on Saturdays across the culinary market or pay a visit to one of the cosy little restaurants on the water.
The surroundings offer a wealth of recreation possibilities. The golf course is within walking distance and the same applies to the sauna, tennis courts, sports school, restaurants, supermarket and the center of Warmond. The Warmonder forest is just opposite the resort. You can easily reach the beach for a nice walk with a fresh sea breeze.
This central location ensures that all possibilities are within reach. Cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem, Leden, Delft and The Hague can be reached within 30min by car!
Near Kaag Resort, there is a charming marina, a railway line, and an air traffic zone. Additionally, boats frequently navigate the nearby rivers and lakes, enhancing the picturesque character of the region. While the location offers beautiful views and convenient access to transportation, it may also come with some noise from passing trains, overhead airplanes, and watercraft traffic.
Getting around
You will be able to explore Warmond and its surroundings on foot or by using the public buses. Regional buses and trains will get you to the surrounding towns and cities, but if you really want to explore the general area, a (hire) car will make your life easier.

Etwas störend war der starke Zug- und Flugverkehr in direkter Nähe.
Wir haben nach der Anreise das Auto stehen lassen und uns ausschließlich mit unseren Fahrrädern bewegt. Tolle Umgebung, tolle Radwege, tolle Landschaft, auch Einkaufen und Essen gehen im Ort war prima.

Der Umstand, dass nur eine Kaffeemaschine mit Pads vorhanden war, hat uns nicht so gefallen. Wir hätten uns eine normale Maschine gewünscht in der man den Kaffen in der gewohnten Weise brühen hätte können.

Kommunikation mit Vermieter schlecht. Zu späte Bekanntgabe der Codenummer zum Schlüsselempfang.
Kein Ansprechpartner vor Ort. Schlechte Lage des Schlafraums: Zum erwärmten Hausflur keine Frischluftzufuhr
möglich. Bei wärmeren Außentemperaturen sicher ein noch größeres Problem.

Belle vue
Tout est prévu pour l'arrivée du gel douche shampooing du papier toilette, café, thé petites intentions très agréable.
Il y a eu un soucis et les techniciens sont arrivés très vite pour tout régler.
Manque une carafe d'eau et quelques couverts en plus

The goddess from the house was magical.
There was a problem with moving to the center, because there were no bus stops nearby.
However, the possibility that the country offers to move around by bicycle makes the area idyllic.
The place was quite clean.
We were particularly upset that there was not a bottle of water in our reception.
The furniture was very worn with the result of leaving pieces of the leather on our clothes.
The couch that is offered as a third bed.. was not ideal for sleeping.
Having chosen a property rental company, I would like to see a better treatment of their visitors.
And one last thing, some electrical appliances (toaster) were in very bad condition to the point of being unusable

Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Einzig die Sesselstühle waren sehr abgerockt. Wir hatten erst den Verdacht, dass sich Hunde oder Katzen daran ausgelassen hätten.

Die Sitzmöbel waren wirklich extrem abgenutzt. Die muss man austauschen!!! Eklig.
Balkon hätte sauberer sein können.
Brandmelder ist extrem sensibel. Wir hatten im Haus morgens gegen 6.00 Uhr Alarm nur weil jemand seinen Toaster angeschaltet hatte. Da ist etwas falsch eingestellt.
Der Flug- und Bahnlärm sollte in der Beschreibung erwähnt werden!!!

The location is OK, you can walk to the center of Leiden in 45 minutes or rent a bicycle, then it's 10-15 minutes. Free parking in front of the building. Who uses a car is in a great position because the roads to The Hague and Amsterdam are 3 minutes away, as well as the road to the coast.

All the heating, dishwasher, microwave oven were too complicated for us to understand.
We couldn’t relax on the balcony due to the many trains going over the nearby bridge. Toilet does not flush well.

Zudem ist die Küche nicht gut ausgestattet (geringer Bestand an Besteck und scharfen Messern). Außerdem war die ganze Küche nicht wirklich sauber.
Die Aussicht und die Parkmöglichkeiten waren gut. Zudem ist man innerhalb von 10min mit dem Auto in Leiden.

The flat definitely not for 4 people. The sofa bed is old and dirty and your body feels every spring in the mattress, very uncomfortable to sleep on. The sofa is only for 2 people and is very uncomfortable to sit on, so the other 2 people have to sit on an uncomfortable chair. . No oven in the flat, it has a small combi microwave but there isn't any oven-proof dish to cook on. There is a dishwasher but only 3 tablets left for a week's stay.

Reparatur nach drei Tagen. Sitzmöbel abgewetzt.

The descriptions and photography of Kaag Resort looked promising but don't tell the full story. Yes every apartment has a balcony looking at the marina, but it also looks at the railway line which has trains every 10 minutes at peak times but on the other side is an industrial estate which you have to drive through for access to the hotel site.
The Kaag resort signage states that the resort is spacious, luxurious and stylish - the reality is that fittings are fairly basic, furniture is worn, cleanliness is not great and there is little to make the newly arrived guest feel welcome.
Value for money is OK and the location is good for visits to Leiden, Den Haag / Scheveningen.
We enjoyed our time in Warmond and in our opinion Kaag Resort is Fair and quite a long way from Good.

In der Nähe läuft eine Bahnlinie entlang. Alles in allem eine gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Ausgangslage für Ausflüge nach z.B. Leiden, Noordwijk, etc.
