The space
This 2 bedroom apartment located just on the boarder of the city centre of Lagos is the perfect place for a citytrip to the Algarve. It provides access to the shared pools of the building and all the vibrant city life, restaurants and supermarkets around the corner!
The whole apartment is on the same floor and offers a fully equipped kitchen and a big living room with sit and access to the balcony. The 2 bedrooms offer a double bed and 2 singles. One bathroom with a bath and toilet and one bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is an elevator in the building.

The neighborhood
Our holiday home is located close to the town centre and Marina but away from the city noise in a quiet residential area. You will therefore be able to find the quiet and peacefulness next to the bustling city life. All within walking distance are three large supermarkets, the beach and the bus station at only 5 minutes away.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

The apartment was large and clean, the neighbourhood quiet and great for walking. Prior to check-in the team at Rental Valley helped us with tour company recommendations and we used their digital guide for dining recommendation, all were perfect.
We did feel the price way a little dear for two people, however we were extremely happy with the apartment and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Picked this place specifically for the indoor and outdoor pool but we were not able to use either as there was an issue with access codes and then we learned they were both closed for construction

Instructions re appliances not fully clear : buttons faded on washing machine. AC: two remotes shared for various spaces. Rental Valley personnel did their best to help at each inquiry. Different airbnb experience dealing with a company with business hours rather than an individual owner, who in some cases replies more quickly, at all hours. Good location: 10-20 minute walking distance to beaches, old town, promenade. Grocery store nearby:helpful! Small resto next door. Indoor pool and gym were in advertisement but not available, which was disappointing as these were important in our choice. Outdoor pool not heated. Some traffic noise at night. Some noise from overhead apartment: relevant only for the sound-sensitive.

Flop: Sauberkeit könnte besser sein. Besteck und Geschirr waren schmutzig und die Badezimmer müssten auf Vordermann gebracht werden. Die Kommunikation als es um eine von Anfang an defekte Toilette ging, war nicht gut. Die Terminvereinbarung für die Reparatur war katastrophal. Erst am dritten Tag hat es geklappt. Dafür mussten wir unsere Urlaubspläne mehrfach ändern. Die angesprochene Entschädigung wurde bis heute nicht gewährt. Die zweite Toilette hat in den letzten zwei Nächten so laute Geräusche gemacht, dass wir davon mehrfach wach wurden.

L'appartement est spacieux, avec un grand balcon et c'était très agréable de manger dehors. Il y a une très bonne literie. Le linge de lit et de toilette était impeccable. Appartement dans l'ensemble bien équipé!
J'ai trouvé que le ménage laissait à désirer surtout vu le prix excessif que l'on nous facture 95€ quand on voit le prix du smic au Portugal même pas 800€ !!
Les canapés noirs étaient très poussiéreux ainsi les tapis, poils longs pas idéal dans une location. La douche n'était pas nickel, et les vitres des chambres bien sales.
Les coussins de déco sur les canapés étaient sales, traces de gras !
Les meubles de cuisine pas nickels plein de traces partout!
Heureusement la literie était très bonne, et on mangeait dehors, donc pas utilisé le salon !

Las piscinas y el gym nos vinieron muy bien durante las vacaciones.
La terraza nos encantó, se ve el amanecer muy bien.
La ubicación, aunque cerca de la marina, se nota que estan haciendo aun edificios nuevos cerca y esta en crecimiento.
Y por poner una pega, no tiene lavavajillas, pero ya lo sabíamos (está avisado).
