The guesthouse is located right next to the famous Volendam harbour. Just walk out of the front door and you will be in the middle of everything this traditional Dutch town has to offer. Supermarkets and other shops are just a few minutes walk away.

The neighborhood
Volendam is famous for the traditional Dutch folklore that is still very visible here. Although majority of it is now catered towards tourism, you should not be surprised to see locals pass by in traditional dress and fishing is still a big part of the income for this community.
You will be able to enjoy this folklore while visiting the harbour, the museums and churches.
From Volendam it is only a short way to Amsterdam and Alkmaar if you want to enjoy some city life and to other smaller Dutch towns that are located on the Markemeer and Ijsselmeer lakes such as Marken, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Or how about a day trip to one of the Dutch islands? It is the perfect location to experience many of the aspects that Dutch culture has to offer.
Getting around
From Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct bus to Volendam that take about 30 minutes and goes regularly from early morning to late evening.

Als wir im Februar frohgemutes auf der Suche nach einer schönen kleinen Ferienwohnung waren, stießen wir dieses schöne Appartment. Da wir auf der Seite FeWo-Direkt suchten, sind wir selbstredend davon ausgegangen, dass es sich bei der Unterkunft um eine kleine Ferienwohnung mit Küche handelt. Leider hat FeWo-Direkt die Rechnung nicht mit uns gemacht. Uns ist beiden erst beim Betreten der Wohnung klar geworden, dass es wir es geschafft haben ein Appartement und keine Ferienwohnung zu mieten. Tja, wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil. Da auch keine Küche ausgewiesen war, handelte es sich hierbei um unsere eigene Dummheit. Da wir ohnehin nur 4 Tage geplant hatten, war dieser kleine Fehler ertragbar.Leider nicht ertragbar war die Lage dieser Unterkunft, da sie sich direkt über eine Kneipe/Disko befindet. Ergo war in unserer ersten Nacht bis 1.30 Uhr nicht an Schlaf zu denken. Der Bass war teilweise so kräftig, dass die Tassen mitgetanzt haben (kein Witz). Als meine Freundin am nächsten Tag herausfand, dass die besagte Kneipe am nächsten Tag nur bis Mitternacht und in der Woche gar nicht geöffnet hat, dachten wir das Schlimmste wäre überstanden. Zu unserem Leidwesen mussten wir feststellen, dass dem nicht so war. Nachdem wir eine Nacht gut schlafen konnten, da die Kneipe zu oder nur kurz geöffnet hatte, kam der Montag Abend. An dem lief die Musik dann nämlich bis 6.30 Uhr MORGENS. Wir haben uns deshalb entschieden einen Tag früher abzureisen.Das war sehr schade.

De kamer zelf was prima in orde. Het bed lag prima, de badkamer zag er schoon en netjes uit en de handdoeken ook. De kamer/hotel zit boven een kroeg waardoor je tot 2 uur niet kunt slapen door de enorm harde muziek van de kroeg. Door het kussen voel je de bas en de hele vloer trilt. Zodra de muziek dan stopt, kun je de uitvoerige gesprekken van de hotel genoten meeluisteren omdat de muren ook nog eens heel erg dun zijn. Er zou dan nog zeker iets aan de geluidsisolatie gedaan kunnen worden.

Locatie. Dichtbij de haven en ook nabij binnenstad en winkel Parkeren auto. Bekend maar hebben het erop gewaagd om in- en uitladen voor de deur te doen. Verder wel ruim 10 minuten lopen naar parkeerplaats. Uitstekende slaapplaats voor aantal nachten. Niet comfortabel genoeg om langere tijd op de kamer te verblijven.

Mooie accommodatie, proper! In principe een toplocatie, maar vlak boven een café waar je letterlijk tot 3u ‘s nachts geroep en getier hoorde. Ik snap dat mensen zich op zaterdagavond willen amuseren, maar had ik geweten dat het geluid zo oorverdovend was, had ik een andere bestemming genomen. Ook heel velle rookgeur op de gang en in de kamer.

Het interieur Kamer 1 ligt recht boven de kroeg. Je hoort letterlijk iedere klank en woord van de muziek en zo ook alle gasten die luidkeels meezingen/schreeuwen tot 02.00 uur in de ochtend en als je dan eindelijk lekker ligt te slapen komt op zondagochtend om 07.30 uur de schoonmaakploeg langs die nog even zachtjes het meubilair verschuift. De tekst “gasten kunnen lawaai ervaren” is een understatement als je daar op zaterdag verblijft! Wegblijven en elders iets zoeken is een beter advies!

La estadía fue muy buena, todo estubo muy limpio, ofrece para hacer cafe y otras cosas útiles como secador de cabello y útiles de limpieza. por la zona hay varios restaurantes, bares y tiendas de souvenir. Además, queda a 5 minutos caminando de una estación de buses que conecta fácilmente con el centro de Amsterdam. La única pequeña observación fue la bulla del bar de abajo hasta la 1 am; sin embargo, por todas las comodidades y facilidades de la estadía, y el mismo lugar (cómodo y seguro), merece 5/5 estrellas. Si eres jóven, te encantará el detalle de los bares.

Nos gustó mucho la habitación, todo bastante limpio y muy ordenado. Teníamos balconcito y monísimo. La verdad que en general muy bien. Estuvimos genial. Nos costó ponernos en contacto con la persona que lleva la recepción, ya que en el hotel no hay recepción, pero Lion muy atento y amable, intentó ayudarnos en todo momento. Y luego sería que abajo hay un pub y rebotaba mucho la habitación porque tenían la música a toda pastilla. Pero pese a eso dormimos bien.

We verbleven er op zaterdagavond. het appartement zag er verder goed uit. Echter, lag het verblijf boven een kroeg en dat stond niet vermeld in de advertentie. Je voelde de bas in de kamer en kon de songteksten van de muziek zelfs horen. Tot 02.00u wakker gelegen van de muziek, zelfs met oordoppen in! De bierstank kwam door het gebouw maar boven en dit rook je in de kamer.

Comfortabel gezellig en super schoon. Op de kamer is een nespresso aanwezig met ruim voldoende cupjes en een waterkoker met voldoende keus voor thee. Ook 2 flesjes water ….heel attent. Ruime nette douche en voldoende douchegel en shampoo. Zelf tandenborstels staan klaar. Mooie dikke handdoeken. Echt een gastheer/ vrouw die weet hoe ze gasten moeten verwennen. Het bed is een boxspring en slaapt heerlijk. Tv en gezellige verlichting met voldoende kasten aanwezig. Je loopt zo de dijk op en gezellige eettentjes in de buurt. Het is wat gehorig. Een smalle trap waarmee je rekening mee moet houden als je slecht ter been bent en een koffer mee naar boven mee draagt. De parkeerplaats is wat verder van de locatie maar verder prima bereikbaar.

Viene con cafetera muy bien equipada y el lavabo era bastante bueno No hay recepción, y tampoco servicio de consigna, tr invitan a dejar las maletas en el piso si llegas antes y no esta disponible la habitación. Het was een hele mooie, schone kamer. Wij vonden het een toplocatie zo om de hoek bij de dijk.
De kosten voor parkeren in de parkeergarage in het centrum viel ons erg mee, 9 euro per dag. Dit is niet ver van het hotel.
Er is geen personeel aanwezig maar wij hebben vooraf telefonisch contact gehad en de man aan de telefoon was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voor ons niets, was echt prima. Maar houdt er rekening mee dat het boven een uitgaansgelegenheid is dus als je vroeg naar bed wil er harde muziek te horen is tot 02:00 (wij waren er op zaterdag).

We loved our stay here! Was a great location and the suite was exactly as expected. We did stay on a Friday night and it was a bit loud at night due to the bars around but that was as expected from other reviews about the location. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again if we came back to the area!

Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet, Zentrumsnah Eigentlich sehr schade, dass ich das so schlecht bewerten muss, da das Hotel (ohne Rezeption) eigentlich geschmackvoll eingerichtet ist und alles was man so braucht da ist. Was ich aber natürlich ganz schlimm fand war das in der Beschreibung (zumindest auf dem Buchungsportal über das wir gebucht haben, Boocking.com) kein einziges Wort darüber stand das sich das Hotel und die meisten Zimmer direkt über einer Bar befindet. Es war unter der Woche mal sehr laut und ab Donnerstag ging es richtig ab. Der Bass dröhnte durch den Boden, es wurde gesungen und gefeiert. Man konnte bis 2 Uhr nachts kein Auge zumachen.
Nicht dass ich etwas gegen Partys habe aber dass es keinerlei Hinweis gab, das es hier zumindest „lebhaft“ zugeht ist sehr bedauerlich. Das geht halt nicht da man sich da dann völlig unvorbereitet in dieser Situation befindet.
Ich gehe auch bedacht mit Bewertungen um und habe dem Hotel die Möglichkeit gegeben uns hier eventuell eine kleine Erstattung zu leisten, weil das wirklich den Urlaub zu einem sehr bösen Ende gebracht hat. Leider hat das Hotel entschieden dies nicht zu tun und deshalb sehe ich mich gezwungen das hier auch so zu schreiben.
Antwort zum Schluss:
„Mit unserem Team wurde für das von Ihnen gemeldete Problem keine Erstattung vereinbart. Leider können wir nicht für die stattfindenden Ereignisse in der Nachbarschaft verantwortlich gemacht werden. Deshalb hat das Team sich gegen eine Rückerstattung entschieden.”
Es geht aber darum, dass es keinen Hinweis in der Beschreibung des Hotels gab, was definitiv in der Verantwortung des Hotels liegt. Party und Lärm OK aber das nicht mal ansatzweise zu erwähnen geht nicht.

Prachtige kamer op een A1 - locatie in Volendam, praktisch aan de Dijk. Mooie ruime kamer, inchecken met deurcode ging prima! Ik miste alleen een kleine koelkast. En het was iets gehorig van buiten en de andere kamers maar na oordopjes had ik daar geen last meer van. Ik zou er evengoed terugkomen!

Nice clean room. Very nice bathroom Quite noisy as next to a lot of popular bars in Volendam. But it was a Friday night in summer so no complaints. People just having fun. Tight stairs to get to room if you have walking difficulties or need walking aid. Would be a challenge to scale the stairs

Overall our stay at this property was very comfortable. The linen, bathroom and room were very clean. As a light sleeper I will note that the other guests were quite noisy, doors slammed as well as neighbours above thudding around. I also wasn’t aware that the room was directly across from a bar restaurant so was fine during the week however the music was so loud you could feel the bass until the venue closed at 2am. Not the hosts fault but just something to be weary of if you are easily disturbed by noise. Other than than, we enjoyed our stay and it’s convenient location, so easy to get to Amsterdam as well, just a 25 minute bus which runs every 15 minutes or so!

clean and highly enough place to stay, the espreesso machine was so useful when you rest , also bathroom was big, clean, bright and fresh, bed were so comfortable, and having a balcony was great nothing to say bad, as I read some people mentioned about noise; people who are thinking to stay here just should know that there is a noise but not everyday just on the weekends I guess . And if you are young it is ok, not disturbed us.

Wir haben von Samstag auf Sonntag hier übernachtet. Das Zimmer liegt über einem Club und bis 1 Uhr morgens waren die Musik und die lauten Stimmen unerträglich. Das Bett hat vibriert von den Bässen. An Schlaf war nicht zu denken.

Nous avons passé une agréable nuit dans cette ville à 25 minutes d’Amsterdam. Très jolie ville typique des pays bas avec de nombreuses boutiques et port en bas du logement. Le logement se situe au dessus et en face de nombreux bar, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé, mais peu déranger certaines personnes. Logement accessible à n’importe quel heure avec accès à codes. Escalier assez raide. Très difficile de se garer à proximité du logement, un parking à 500 mètres est gratuit à partir de 18h jusque 9h sinon tout les quartiers sont en zone bleu avec disques et limite de temps. Logement très propre avec balcon, bien décorer et literie confortable. A recommander !

Nous avons passé un très bon moment, nous avons garé notre voiture sur le parking gratuit ( à coté des parkings bus) à 5 mn à pied ( attention utiliser le milieu du parking, sur les cotés c'est réservé aux riverains), nous l'avons même laissé 2 nuits et sommes allés sur Amsterdam en bus ( 5 euros 30 le billet pour 37 mn de trajet) alors que nous passions la 2è nuit sur Amsterdam.
Logement très agréable ( qui peut être bruyant car situé au dessus d'un bar) , nous y avons logé un mardi et le bar était fermé donc aucun souci pour nous.
Port de pêche charmant et nombreuses possibilités pour se restaurer.

The hotel is close to the water and the port.
The room is comfortable and well equipped. The smell of cigarettes in the corridor.
The room is right next to 2 pubs. There was a lot of noise until 2 am and it was impossible to sleep. The wall was literally shaking with the bass of the music.
Some people came into the corridor during the night and talked very loudly.
At least there should be earplugs available.
Do not go to this hotel on weekends, or only if you want to party.
I will not return to this hotel and I certainly do not recommend it.

Schönes kleines Zimmer mitten im Ort, ein Steinwurf von allem, gute Restaurants und tolle Leute im Ort, nette Bedienung und sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Gutes Essen, Drinks und Bier, lokale Marken. La stanza era ben arredata, con finiture eleganti e ricercate, dotata di macchina del caffè, tazze, bicchieri a calici, tutto in maniera molto ordinata. La posizione centrale, permetteva di raggiungere le principali attrazioni in un paio di minuti. Davvero bella! Siamo arrivati alla struttura e nessuno ci aveva comunicato che, per entrare necessitavamo di codici. Abbiamo provato a chiamare numerose volte al numero scritto sulla porta ma, nessuno ci ha risposto. Fortunatamente le signore del negozio accanto ci hanno aiutato, chiamando ripetutamente l' host ma, una volta risposto, non sapeva né del codice né del nostro arrivo. Dopo circa mezz'ora di attesa, sotto la piaggia, ci hanno richiamato al telefono e comunicato i codici. Nessuno si è scusato. Successivamente abbiamo chiesto, tramite messaggio, se fosse stato possibile lasciare le nostre valigie un paio d'ore in struttura ma, nessuno ci ha mai risposto. Fortunatamente, nel corridoio abbiamo incrociato una persona che lavorava nella struttura e gentilmente ha accordato la nostra richiesta. Oltre questo, c'era una grossa macchia sul copriletto

Sauberkeit und das Zimmer war super. Allerdings war es extrem laut, unter den Zimmern gibt es eine Disco. Die Party geht bis 2-3 Uhr nachts, wir konnten leider kaum schlafen. Das Zimmer wurde nicht täglich gesäubert, auch nicht der Müll geleert, Badezimmer geputzt, Bett gemacht!
Nachts war es unerträglich laut, die Musik der Kneipe dauerte bis in die frühen Morgenstunden, an Schlaf war nicht zu denken!
Dieses Zimmer hätten wir niemals gebucht wenn wir dies zuvor gewusst hätten!

This may be one of the best AirBnB's me and my partner have stayed in to date. we were contemplating staying in the city of Amsterdam and was worried that Volendam would be too far out of the way.
We could have not been more wrong. Not only is the bus running every 15 minutes to Amsterdam (25 minute trip) but the town itself is utterly beautiful and peaceful. it is great to get a break each morning and night from the busy city of Amsterdam, into what can only be described as tranquillity.
the room itself Is amazing and has all of the little things that make it great. No complaints in this regard.
for any couple looking to visit Amsterdam, book this stay.

This room was gorgeous! It was in a beautiful location, 2 houses down from the water. There are restaurants on every corner and a grocery store within 5 minutes walking distance. We used the deck to refrigerate some of our goods. The only thing that threw us off was that the room is located directly above a bar/pub/club. We had a great sleep full of peace and quiet for the first 3 nights however, our last night was on a Friday night... we did not sleep a wink until the music stopped at 2am. It felt like we were inside the club. So be mindful of this if you book on a Friday or Saturday night. The Friday night that we were there, happened to be the night that the Netherlands soccer team was playing in the world Cup to the party was extra rowdy. I'm sure it's not normally this loud on an average weekend lol

I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Volendam in itself was quite a charming town. Such a peaceful place to walk at night after strolling through the busy streets of Amsterdam. The bus to Amsterdam alone is just a few minutes away. Leon, the host was always quick to respond any questions I had, willing to help with anything even before my arrival.

Mooie kamer, fijne bedden! Ook de hygiene, het balkon en de ligging waren helemaal top. Onder onze hotelkamer zat een café/disco. Deze muziek ging de hele nacht door. Eigentlich kann man sicher über nichts beschweren, wenn nur nicht in den Bars unter und neben der Wohnung am Wochenende bis 2 Uhr Nachts SEHR laute Musik spielen würden, sodass man die Vibrationen in der ganzen Wohnung spüren und selbst mit Ohrschutz nicht schlafen kann.

The accommodations were lovely and perfect for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. The room didn’t seem very soundproof as sounds from other apartments could be heard quite easily. And we had to park our rental car over a kilometre away, as there was no overnight parking nearby. Not convenient, but not a game changer.

Nette, schone kamer. Voelde nieuw aan! Fijne bedden en middenin het centrum van Volendam. Hou rekening met het feit dat deze accommodatie midden in het uitgaansgebied ligt dus in de weekenden heb je zeker tot 02.00u veel lawaai! Wij hadden hier weinig hinder van doordat we gewoon gezellig in de kroeg zijn gaan zitten. Maar als je op tijd wilt slapen is dit echt minder geschikt.

Kamer en wasruimte zagen er keurig verzorgd uit. Het hotel is met de auto niet bereikbaar. In de nabije omgeving van het hotel kan alleen met een parkeerschijf voor maximaal 4 uur geparkeerd worden. Parkeerruimte voor vrij parkeren is een flink stuk lopen. Dat is met je bagage geen pretje.

No comment Als wir die Unterkunft aufsuchen wollten, fand eine Party von vielen feierenden jungen Menschen statt. Ein Durchkommen zur Anmeldung war schlicht unmöglich. Unsere Bitte die Übernachtungskosten zurück zu erstatten, hat die Unterkunft abgelehnt.

De locatie middenin Volendam was top. De temperatuur van de verwarming stond laag. Verder zijn er geen faciliteiten maar dat weet je van tevoren dus dat is geen tegenvaller.

Das Badezimmer war wunderschön neu, die Lage am Wasser ein Traum, auch die Sauberkeit und der Komfort des Bettes waren hervorragend. Leider liegt das Zimmer direkt über einer Bar, die bis nachts um 2 Uhr geöffnet hat und sehr laute Musik, mit viel Bass, spielt. Das Einschlafen war leider nur sehr schwer möglich.

mooie inrichting ligt centraal ligt boven een kroeg doordat de kroeg dicht moest om 10 uur vanwege Corona was het op tijd stil anders kun je heel goed ‘meegenieten’ van de muziek onder je.

Perfecte locatie direct aan de dijk. De kamer zag er precies zo uit als op de foto's. Nette schone kamer en het rook bovendien ook erg lekker. Het was even onduidelijk hoe binnen te komen. Ik had een mail gemist waarin naar een aankomsttijd werd gevraagd. Na het invullen daarvan ontvang je de deurcodes. Gelukkig werd ik snel en vriendelijk geholpen!

La habitación preciosa: moderna, limpia, muy acogedora, amplia, igual q el baño. Muy tranquilo y bien ubicado. Merece la pena. No hay nadie para atenderte y no pudimos dejar las maletas después del check out para poder hacer tiempo sin cargar con ellas, antes de q saliera nuestro autobus.
