The space
This is an immaculate south facing property, very well cared for, located in a quiet residential area of Vale da Telha near the lake, ideal for peaceful walks.
Upon entering, we have a small entrance hall with built-in wardrobe, ideal for storing coats and shoes, and on the right the large living room with high wooden ceilings that gives it a country house style. There is a corner fireplace, and on the left of the living room there is a small room with at home office space.
The kitchen sits alongside the living room and is fully equipped with gas hob, built-in electric oven, microwave, and lots of storage. The kitchen has black marble countertops and has access to the rear garden with outdoor lounging and dining area.
From the living room is a hallway that gives access to the rest of the house. There is the family bathroom with a bathtub on the left, and 3 bedrooms (one ensuite). One bedroom has an extra large built in closet and the ensuite is equipped with shower. There is also a built in wardrobe at the end of the hallway perfect for a linen closet.
At the back of the house, there is a large, very well designed garden area inviting long relaxed meals with family and friends. The exterior space is sheltered from the cooler north winds and there is a partially closed balcony area which is pleasant in the evening. There are two wooden deck areas, one for outdoor dining next to the BBQ, and one surrounding the above ground plunge pool perfect to refresh on warm days with a outdoor shower. From the garden is a small gate that allows access to the valley and to walk to the nearby lake if you wish.
A very special house, in which a lot of attention has been paid to the details of comfort and usage of good quality materials. Definitely inviting to visit, it is ideal for a family home given its quiet and inviting location, with lots of sun exposure.

The neighborhood
Our sunny villa is located on the outskirts of Aljezur, offering you a quiet, private space without being in the middle of nowhere.
Vale de Telha is a small village in the middle of the Costa Vicentina nature reserve. It is very popular amongst families, nature lovers and surfers alike. A selection of restaurants & bars and a small supermarket are there for your day to day comforts. The larger and historic Aljezur is only 15 minutes away and has everything you need. The town is located right in the middle between famous surf beach Arrifana and the less well known but perhaps even prettier Monte Clerigo beach. Other beaches like Amoreira, Amado and Odeceixe are just a short drive away. Whether you want to relax, go for a surf or enjoy an amazing hike in the nature reserve, Vale de Telha is the place to be. And if you do crave city life at some point, the city of Lagos is only 35 minutes away.
Getting around
From Faro Airport it takes you about 80 minutes by car to get to Vale de Telha. If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended as public transport is only available to Aljezur town but not up to Vale da Telha. Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.
