The space
Set on a picturesque hillside, this stunning holiday home is entered from the upper north-facing level, where the living area offers spectacular views. This level features a spacious living room with a dining area and patio doors that open onto a balcony – an ideal spot for al fresco dining while soaking in the scenic beauty. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated fridge-freezer, electric oven, hob, dishwasher, and washing machine. A guest toilet and a convenient storage cupboard are located off the entrance hall.
Descending the stairs, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms and two well-appointed bathrooms. The master suite includes flexible 'zip & link' beds, a private en-suite bathroom, built-in wardrobes, and patio doors leading to a secluded terrace. The second bedroom also opens onto the terrace and features ample built-in storage. A spacious bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower is also on this level. The private terrace, accessible from both bedrooms, is surrounded by lush hedges for added privacy and features a cobblestone area with a stone table and benches, enhanced by vibrant bottlebrush trees.
The property’s mature gardens are threaded with winding pathways that lead to the communal pools, heated for much of the year. For golf enthusiasts, the Santo António Golf Course is just a 2-minute drive away, while the pristine beaches of Salema and Boca do Rio are reachable in under 5 minutes by car.

The neighborhood
Our holiday home is located in Budens, a small village near Lagos that is very popular with golfers, families, surfers, and nature lovers.
There is a variety of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy both local and international cuisine. We highly recommend trying the fresh fish and seafood dishes, a specialty of the region! A supermarket is just minutes away by car and can also be reached on foot. Salema Beach is a quick 5-minute drive, while other beautiful beaches like Burgau and Praia da Luz are also close by. Whether you want to relax on golden sands, surf the waves, or enjoy scenic hikes in nature, Budens is the perfect place.
If you are looking for a livelier atmosphere, the vibrant city of Lagos is only 15 minutes away. Heading west, you will find Vila do Bispo and Sagres, both offering a variety of restaurants, bars, and stunning beaches.
Getting around
Budens is easily accessible by car, with Faro Airport just over an hour’s drive away. Car rentals are available at the airport, making travel flexible and convenient. For those arriving by train, the journey takes about 4 to 5 hours, with the final stop in Lagos. From there, you can take a bus or taxi to Budens.
While public transport is safe and available, it is somewhat limited in this region. To fully explore the area, a rental car is highly recommended. Fortunately, parking is free and plentiful throughout the region.

Nada. El apartamento es horrible. No puedes cocinar allí si no te quieres intoxicar. La nevera perdía agua, colchones que te levantavas y tenías que ir a rehabilitación por 3 meses. Todo sucisimo. El baño estaba todo oxidado con mosquitos de otros huéspedes pegados en la pared, un solo rollo de papel higiénico. Las camas sin hacer y una almohada de bolitas, sabanas y colcha con manchas amarillas que no queria ni pensar en que era.... Los platos saqué uno y tenía aceite o no se de a saber cuando. Una total decepción, vinieron a cambiarnos la nevera y la chica no podía ser más borde. NO VAYAIS NUNCA. Una pena porque si se gastarán un poquito de dinero y alguien que lo limpiará a fondo una semana sería de 10.

Fuse tripped a few times when the dishwasher was on, everything else had to be switched off first. Downstairs doors to the garden didn't lock securely, but it did feel safe.

Der Gemeinschaftspool war auch sehr schön.

Nos entregaron la casa con un problema de fuga de agua en la tubería de la pila de la cocina. En su favor decir, que dimos parte del problema y lo solucionaron de inmediato de forma diligente sin afectar a nuestra estancia.
También comentar que el uso de fuego eléctrico y lavavajillas hace saltar los fusibles constantemente, por lo que deberían aumentar la potencia contratada.

Die Küche ist mit sehr alten Geräten ausgestattet:
- Waschmaschine kann man nicht mit dem Schleudergang anmachen. Die Trommel ist verdreht.
- Mixer für den Smoothie hat Splitter geschleudert
- Geschirrspüler macht nicht richtig sauber, so dass man nachspülen muss.
- Kühlschrank kühlt nicht, außer die Tiefkühltruhe
Die Gitter an den Fenstern sind zum Teil defekt.
Der Fernseher ist alt und ist sehr klein (wie ein PC-Screen) und hat kein Netflix. Der Abstand zur Couch ist sehr weit, dadurch sieht man kaum was.
Das Haus und die Lage ist eigentlich sehr schön. Aber die Einrichtung, insbesondere die Küche, ist in einem sehr alten Zustand. Manche Geräte sind einfach kaputt. Für eine Familie die oft kochen will und Wäsche waschen will ist das Haus nicht geeignet. Die Fotos auf der Anzeige sind irritierend.
Die Couch ist bequem.

Thank you for your feedback. As you know, we take all feedback seriously. We have already ordered a new washing machine and blender and would have hoped that compensation we offered for these issues would have left you feeling more positive. We have also tried to resolve this during your stay and offered to pass by twice to which we were informed in clear language that this was not desired.
For future guests we would like to point out that the beds are standard size and upon inspection of the house the fridge and shutters both worked without any issue.
It is correct that the house is somewhat older and with a small TV but everything should normally be in working order and comfortable and it is priced to that standard as well.

The place should have been aired it was damp and musty been empty for several years, towels where damp, only given one key which resulted in being locked out and having to spend the night in a hotel we where not able to contact the agent until 10am when there office opened
