The space
This three-bedroom property features lots of natural light and tasteful neutral décor.
The open plan layout of the large well-appointed kitchen/dining room offers a spacious social living area with direct access to the fabulous sunny and sheltered patio and swimming pool. The dining area has an enclosed wood-burning stove, and the property benefits from air conditioning, double glazing and exterior shutters.
The lounge is bright yet offers a cosy feel, with triple aspect windows and doors to access the front and rear gardens providing great light.
The swimming pool area is sheltered and secluded with a very inviting alfresco BBQ dining area overlooking the well-kept garden.
Located within a few minute's drive to the stunning Monte Clerigo beach and surfer’s paradise Arrifana beach, also being a short drive with local amenities such as bars, restaurants and a mini market en route, this villa is situated in a prime location in the very sought after area of the urbanisation of Vale da Telha.

The neighborhood
Our sunny villa is located on the outskirts of Aljezur, offering you a quiet, private space without being in the middle of nowhere.
Vale da Telha is a small village in the middle of the Costa Vicentina nature reserve. It is very popular amongst families, nature lovers and surfers alike. A selection of restaurants & bars and a small supermarket are there for your day-to-day comforts. The larger and historic Aljezur is only 15 minutes away and has everything you need. The town is right in the middle between the famous surf beach Arrifana and the less well-known but perhaps even prettier Monte Clerigo beach. Other beaches like Amoreira, Amado and Odeceixe are just a short drive away, so whether you want to relax, surf or enjoy an amazing hike in the nature reserve, Vale da Telha is the place to be. And if you do crave city life at some point, the city of Lagos is only 35 minutes away.
Getting around
From Faro Airport, it takes you about 80 minutes by car to get to Vale da Telha. If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended as public transport is only available to Aljezur town but not up to Vale da Telha. Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.

Casa boa e bem localizada, mas estes detalhes obrigaram-nos a reprogramar as ferias por nao estarmos à vontade. Poucas comodidades de limpeza. Para quem foi alguns dias, tinhamos apenas 1 pastilha para a maquina de lavar louça.

Excellent Uber s around to get into main village of Aljezur
The pool was great

La casa funciona con fosa séptica y no podíamos lanzar ni el papel por el retrete, con la incomodidad y disgusto que esto generaba. Una de las bañeras se embozaba y se acababa encharcando el baño durante la ducha. El precio es un tanto elevado, pero la casa es espectacular.

The two sofas in the living room had no cushion covers, there were only blankets, the inner lining of the pool is coming off the wall and the kitchen cabinets and drawers felt sticky and clingy.
The smell inside the house was not good at all when we entered, but after airing out the whole place and keeping some windows open at all times it was gone. Overall we and our three children had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and our kids were able to freely play in the pool at any time. Everything was there in the house and it is a quick drive to the two beaches and really good laid back restaurants. We really didn't want to leave after 10 days and will surely consider renting again.

Das Haus hat in den Innenräumen ein Feuchte Problem. Sobald die Fenster und Türen geschlossen sind, steigt die Luftfeuchtigkeit auf 80 %. Das macht sich auch an der Korrosion im Haus fest. In der Küche, herrscht ein modriger Geruch in den Schränken.  Ich vermute, dass vor kurzer Zeit die Fenster und Türen erneuert wurden, sie sind zu dicht. was das Problem mit der Feuchtigkeit verstärkt.
Es gibt sehr viele Moskitos im Haus.
Die einbauten haben eine nur eine mittlere Qualität, dadurch wird es in Zukunft immer wieder zu Schäden kommen. Bei uns ist zuerst die Schranktüre herausgebrochen und dann die Scharniere der Terrassentüre. Beides konnte während unseres 12 tätigen Aufenthalts nicht repariert werden. Das Haus war somit nicht abgeschlossen.

Das ganze Haus hat ein extremes Feuchtigkeitsproblem. Alle Räume haben eine Raumluft-Feuchtigkeit von knapp 80%. Überall muffiger Geruch nach Schimmel, Feuchtigkeit und Abfluss.
Um den Schimmel an den Decken zu vertuschen, wurde überall einfach drüber gestrichen.
Darüberhinaus ist der Abfluss ständig verstopft, Duschen laufen voll mit Wasser und dann über und das Wasser läuft ins Badezimmer.
Am ersten Tag war ein Sanitär Techniker da, das Problem mit dem Abfluss verbesserte sich für zwei Tage, dann ging’s wieder von vorn los. Weiterhin, hat das Haus eine Mückenplage, wir haben augfrund des Feuchtigkeits Gestanks und der Mücken, nicht eine Nacht schlafen können.

Sowohl das Check-in, wie auch das Check-out waren sehr simpel und angehnem.
Der Pool ist super für eine Abkühlung, zudem ist das Haus in guter Reichweite von diversen schönen Stränden.
