This lovely and light 2-bed, 2-bath apartment it is located right behind the waterfront of Olhão with lots of restaurants and bars just around the corner. The ferries to the famous islands of Culatra, Armona and Deserta are just 10 minutes walking from the apartment and private water taxi's go right in front.
The space
Our apartment is located in a condominium right behind the waterfront on the west-side of Olhão with views over the waterfront and ocean from your private balcony as well as the roof terrace with pool!
The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped to offer you the best possible family holiday. It has 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), a fully equipped kitchen and lounge/dining room with large balcony overlooking a quiet residential street as well as the waterfront and ocean. The apartment has lots of light and is comfortably furnished. All rooms are equipped with A/C.
The neighbourhood is residential and quiet but just a few steps away from an amazing selection of restaurants, bars and shops both along the waterfront in front of our building as in the traditional town center just minutes away. This makes it the perfect getaway for families and adults who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old center with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available. Private ferries can be taken directly in front of the apartment while the public ferries are just about 10 minutes walking away in the main harbour.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber to travel around. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. You can park for free in front of the apartment. There are no reserved spaces but normally there is plenty of space.

Overall we had a fantastic stay at this apartment. Clean, great bedding and fabulous location. Only slight downside was the pool furniture which was all broken, making it unusable other then a quick dip, something I was looking forward to using alot more and compared to other pool areas was a real let down. Another slight thing I found odd was lack of items to clean in the apartment. One scrubbing brush and a little washing up liquid. 2 pods which I couldn't decide which was for dishwasher or machine so couldn't use either and minimal toilet rolls. No pods for the nespresso machine so couldn't use. Ended up buying cleaning products and kitchen roll to get by. We booked looking to be able to use ALL facilities and in other Airbnb we have used this has never been a problem. Though we ate out alot we also enjoy cooking and buying from the local food market so it would have been nice to have more of the basics. Would stay in the area again but not this particular apartment.

Location was perfect. Restaurants and Cafes in the next 2 apartment blocks. So close to the marina and shops aswell.
Apartment was very clean. All rooms were spacious. Kitchen was excellently equipped.
Would definitely recommend and would consider booking again if returning to the Algarve. The ceiling light in both bedrooms didn't work.
The toilet seat in main bathroom was not attached to the toilet.
The sun loungers around the pool were in a bad state. 1 even was broken.
A lounger or 2 for the balcony would have been more useful than the stacked green plastic chairs.

Handy for the old town , nice walk along the prom . No facility’s what so ever . Could have at least had shampoo and soap in bathrooms and condiments in the kitchen. Only stayed 4 nights so didn’t want to buy all that sort of thing. Some welcoming drinks like bottles of water and sachets of coffee and milk would have been nice as we didn’t arrive untill 10pm .

Really happy with the location - easy to walk around the town, a supermarket within just a few minutes walk too. It was easy to reach the town from Faro by public transport, and there were Uber taxis around early in the morning when we needed to return to the airport. The apartment itself is great, comfortable and well equipped. The rooftop pool is very pleasant - our only slight problem there was that we heard towels were provided, so didn't take our own, and then we were asked not to take them to the rooftop pool. Not a huge issue, just something we wish we had known in advance. Other than that, happy all round with the apartment and its location in the town. Absolutely would stay again.

Firstly the process of checking in was made very simple by having telephone contact with one of the representatives. Very nice apartment, with sun on the balcony in the late afternoon only. Upstairs on the 5th floor is a nice small pool, for cooling off purposes only! The apartment is well equipped but like most people on holiday we only used the kettle and toaster. About 200 yards away are a series of bars in the Marina complex. The Playa was our favourite.

Très bel appartement, propre et très bien équipé. La piscine sur le toit est un grand plus à rajouter à cet appartement déjà excellent. Le micro noir est la poignée de la chambre parentale qui reste dans les mains, mise ça, tout est au top.

Loved the stay! Great apartment, clean and spacious with a lovely balcony and pool on the roof. One had to walk to get to the heart of restaurants and shopping which was hot during the day but very lovely after the sun went down with parks for the children and a view of the water. Would stay there again!

The location is excellent - just opposite the new marina with its bars and restaurants. Some restaurants on the ground floor of other blocks of apartments nearby. Short walk into town for more choice and for the market and supermarkets. Apartment was clean, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the shared swimming pool on the roof which was usually not busy. Plenty of places to visit using the train. Toilet seat attachments were broken on arrival but not a major issue.

Location is good just a short stroll down to restaurants and the beautiful streets and houses . There are some restaurants close by and across the main road onto the harbour. The apartment is spotless clean and is very well equipped in the kitchen . The apartment is a typical rental property however the beds and pillows are top quality and super comfortable. Mattress and pillow protectors which you don’t always have . Linen spotless . The apartment is very spacious . The rooftop pool is very small but clean and is only suitable for a small number of guests. The only criticism I can give which isn’t a fault of rental company, it can be extremely noisy. The noise travels easily, especially if you have a noisy group who want to party after 10pm .
