This recently renovated house is located in the centre of Olhão, a lovely fisherman town near Faro. Your apartment is one of 3 private accommodations inside the building which are all named after one of the main attractions in this area: the nearby located islands Armona, Barreta and Culatra. Your accommodation is private and fully equipped, the patio/terrace areas of the house are shared.
The space
Studio Culatra is located on the second floor of the house with a private entrance. It includes a well-equipped kitchen with a 2-plate induction hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The studio has WiFi and air conditioning, and the windows allow good ventilation in the summer. Sofa unfolds in a comfortable double bed.
Culatra has its own terrace area but note that other guests can pass by this area to get to the roof terrace. Of course, you also have access to the spacious, shared roof terrace to catch all those lovely rays of sun!
The apartment is perfect for a couple or solo travelers.

The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old center with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available and they are located just a couple of minutes walking from the house.
Due to the central location, you will have lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from in close vicinity of the apartment. A large supermarket is located at less than 5 minutes walking.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber to travel around. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. Parking in old town Olhão is for free in most places, except along the waterfront. It can be challenging to find it but usually there will be a spot available close to the apartment.

Really lovely host with quick response time for any problems we had, location was perfect - less than 5 minute walk from all restaurants and shops. Helpful instructions about going to the nearby islands as well. We had an amazing time

El estudio está bien, tiene lo justo para alojarte como mucho una semana. Como punto positivo estaba bastante limpio y te dan unos kits tanto para el baño como para la cocina con jabón para la ducha y lo necesario para limpiar la vajilla. La azotea, a pesar de ser compartida, estaba muy bien, con una mesa con sombrilla y dos tumbonas, y la pequeña terraza del propio apartamento era muy cómoda para desayunar o cenar. Sin embargo, las sábanas tenían algunas manchas, el lavabo del baño era muy pequeño y no tragaba bien, por lo que se quedaba todo el rato el agua con los restos y era bastante desagradable. Había muchas hormigas tanto en la cocina como en el baño, nos despertamos varios días con un camino de hormigas. Además, la nevera era muy pequeña, tipo mini bar de hotel. El alojamiento está bien pero teniendo en cuenta el precio y que el pueblo no es tan turístico, creo que se pueden encontrar mejores opciones.

Le séjour aurait pu bien se passer si nous n’avions pas eu des fourmies dans la salle de bain. À notre arrivé le ménage était partiellement fait avec présence de chocolat et miettes sur la table.

Die Lage in einer Seitenstraße unweit von Fußgängerzone und Markthalle war optimal. Das Appartment war mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht, sogar ein Sonnenschirm zur Mitnahme an den Strand war vorhanden! Die Wohnung hatte unmittelbaren Zugang zur Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Stadt.

Apartamento suficientemente amplio para dos personas, aunque no tuviese habitacion independiente para nosotros no fue un problema. La cocina bien equipada respecto a menaje y algunos alimentos básicos como sal, aceite, vinagre, café etc. Todo un detalle.
Bien ubicado en Olhāo aunque tened en cuenta que está localidad está alejada de los mayores puntos de interés del Algarve.
No tenía persianas por lo que entraba mucha luz en la habitación, para nosotros esto fue lo más incómodo ya que incluso por la noche se veía mucho la luz de los otros apartamentos. Eran ventanales amplios con cortinas muy transparentes por lo que apenas habia intimidad. La nevera es muy pequeñita y apenas tiene un congelador que entra una botella pequeña de agua y poco más. La limpieza de los utensilios de cocina podría ser mejor, tuvimos que lavarlo todo antes de usarlo.

Estancia bastante tranquila y buena. Se encuentra en todo el centro y se puede ir andando a cualquier sitio. El apartamento está bastante completo y bien equipado, pero la nevera soltaba agua y algunos utensilios estaban sucios. Pero por lo demás, volvería a repetir y cuanta con una terraza arriba del todo, en la cual se puede ver todo el pueblo.

Check-in was ok, we received in advance instructions, even if in the day of our arrival there was a misunderstanding between us, but it wasn’t a big problem.
Location was a bit inconvenient: in front of the accommodation there is a house inhabited by drug dealers and drug addicts. Nevertheless we feel quite safe and sunset was amazing from the terrace.

El departamento es muy lindo, en un complejo totalmente remodelado. Muy buena ubicación, cerca del centro histórico y el mercado de Olhao. La terraza le da un extra.
En general estuvo perfecto para una estadía de unos días, el único punto negativo fue que tenia ascensor pero no andaba. Igual son solo 2 pisos.

Wunderschönes helles 1 Zimmer Appartement in zentraler Lage mit Holzboden. Ausstattung der Küche: alles was man braucht zum selber kochen. schöne Dachterrasse für alle. Komfortable Dusche.

Super cute building, and apartment. Good location aswell.
When we arrived, we had some cleanliness issue. The bathroom was full of hair from the last guest ( I think he shaved himself and it was full of hair ), the floor super dirty full of stains of shoes, the kitchen was super oily and the dishes was dirty aswell.
I directly talked to the Host and the customer service. Both were super responsive and they find us a solution fast.
The day after we arrived, they sent us the cleaning team. But it was still a bit dirty, So we had to clean by ourselves.
The apartment is really nice, with everything for a stay of some days. There is a terrace up, with a nice view of all the city.
Except the cleanliness issue which is not acceptable on this kind of rent, everything was perfect. Thanks they were reactive and attentive.

Nous avons eu une très mauvaise expérience avec ce logement qui est loin d'être aussi sublime que sur les photos.
À notre arrivée, le logement était encore sale, crasseux, plein de miettes de nourriture sur la table, beaucoup de poussière épaisse dans tout le studio, et des déchets et des mégots de cigarettes plein le cendrier qui était sur la terrasse.
Il y avait une odeur nauséabonde et insupportable dans la salle de bain. La douche et le lavabo avaient de la moisissure dans les joints. Les murs du logement sont pleins de traces. Dans la cuisine, équipements et couverts sales, frigo minuscule.
Pas de rideaux occultant sur les grandes fenêtres côté cour intérieure, qui donne aussi sur les voisins du dessous. Nous avons très mal dormi.
Le wifi ne marche pas constamment donc pour ceux qui font du télétravail ce n'est pas pratique.
Ce logement qui est soi-disant ''récemment rénové" est en fait mal entretenu, voire presque laissé à l'abandon. Nous y avons passé un mauvais séjour.

We had a great stay overall, lovely accommodation with a great view of the rooftops.
The patio was amazing to have breakfast on and the roof terrace gave great views and a great place to sunbathe!
It was a really accessible property and was close to all restaurants/bars on Olhao. Would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately, no curtains on 3 out of the 4 windows, so we got woken up quite early because of the sun light.
Bed clothes were also missing, only 2 small pillows and a bed sheet (no blankets)

Su ubicación es ideal. Cerca del centro de la ciudad y del puerto.
En general, no es una mala ubicación, pero no es exactamente limpio o idealmente cómodo. A la llegada, el estudio no estaba limpio. Concretamente, todos los utensilios de cocina estaban todavía llenos de restos de los anteriores ocupantes. Además, las cortinas no se habían puesto en orden, lo que permitía tanto a los transeúntes mirar hacia dentro como a la luz entrar en la habitación por la mañana.
En general, no es una mala ubicación, pero no es exactamente limpio o idealmente cómodo. A la llegada, el estudio no estaba limpio. Very close to everything at the marina, bars, cafes etc. Handy shop right downstairs. The apartment had everything you'd need for a great break away and was just fantastic.

Schöne Unterkunft mit toller Dachterasse (die man sich aber ggf. teilen muss). Toll in der Altstadt gelegen, schöne Spaziergänge möglich. Parkplatz nicht immer vor dem Haus verfügbar, aber in der Nähe ausreichend.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement, toutes les commodités sont à proximité (restaurants, supermarché, navette pour les îles de Culatra et Farol). Si vous souhaitez visiter l’Algarve c’est un très bon pied à terre! Néanmoins, des rideaux occultants auraient été appréciables dans l’appartement, car les réveils se font à la lumière du jour, ce qui peut être dérangeants après de longues journées. Mais dans l’ensemble je recommande vivement!

Le centre ville est à 2 pas à pied et si vous souhaitez vous rendre sur les îles de culatra, farol etc… rendez-vous au port un service de ferry qui vous y emmènera pour 4€ l’aller-retour par personne. Si vous avez un véhicule vous pouvez vous stationner sur les parkings public aux alentours Nous avons adorer visiter la côte de l’algarve. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter 😊

Sentimos falta de uma TV a extencao da tomada da cama e incompatível não deixamos o local mais limpo pois não encontramos vassoura nem pano chão e faltou tapete no banheiro.

The place is well located. Everything was really good excepting the wifi that wasn’t working and they couldn’t fix the issue during the 6 days stay.

Rental Valley isn’t a person it’s some company so it was hard to get an actual human answer out of them. Their wifi router was located in the other apartment and they had me go in and troubleshoot & when it couldn’t be fixed because the cord was broken they said they’d fix it only after I left. You communicate with multiple different people so you feel like you have to re-explain any issue. We had to leave a day early because I needed internet for meetings & when I told them that they showed little care and afford no support or compensation. Wasted a lot of time and money there. Olhao was nice, the apartment was nice but if you have to talk to them good luck.

Next to the centre. Very clean flat. Cute.
The company tried to get my card details after I paid through booking.
Even the booking customer service adviced me not to share anything with them.
Check-in process was a nightmare too, they really want you to get in their website.
About the flat :
There was nothing in there, not salt or oil, or shampoo or nothing of the stuff you would expect from a flat with a kitchen where you're going to stay for 3 days. So we end up buying everything and leaving it in there.
