Casa da Marina is the perfect place for people looking for a modern, central and spacious place to stay. The apartment was carefully decorated and has a fantastic shared space on the rooftop with a pool & gym!
The space
This is a spacious one-bedroom, modernly decorated apartment with a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your daily meals.
The queen-sized double bed (1,60x2,00m) is really comfortable.
All rooms give access to balconies, and one of them is very special because you can watch the gorgeous sunset.
We are happy to welcome couples with one child up to 2 years.

The neighborhood
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast, you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
You can do everything on foot! The beach is only a 10 min walk away, the Marina only 5 min, the city centre not more than 10 min, and the supermarket at 10 min away. The central train station of Lagos is even closer, only a 3 min walk.
Getting around
You are free to do everything on foot, but if you want to explore the Monchique Range, enjoy the worldwide famous Surf spots (Praia do Amado) and visit the south-westernmost tip of Europe (Sagres), it is better to rent a car. Don't worry about parking; you will easily find a spot directly from the building. You can rent a car from the Faro Airport very cheaply or take the train from Faro central train station directly to the door of the building.

Big but: After filling in the form for the rental I got a suspicious message with my personal data from the rental. After calls with Airbnb, they assured it wasn’t from them or from the rental. However, I have never have had security issues with Airbnb. So I suppose it was from the rentals lack of security with the form. I tried contacting the rental immediately. Unfortunately it took several days for the rental to answer my message. I was and am still really scared of my personal data being stolen.

Location is great if you want to be close to the town and marine, but be based somewhere a little quieter and peaceful.
The only downside was the rooftop pool was closed off , that said, the weather had been colder and wetter than usual so this may have been the reason.

L'appartement, bien que grand et ayant un très bon potentiel, est malheureusement très mal entretenue et sale. À notre arrivée, la salle de bain n'avait pas été nettoyer. L'agence nous a répondu que les tâches étaient permanentes, nous avons du envoyer une vidéo pour démontrer qu'elles ne l'étaient pas, ils sont passé au troisième jour pour nettoyer. De plus, peu importe la durée de votre séjour, vous n'aurez qu'une grande et une petite serviette par personne, on vous chargera pour en avoir plus. Nous n'avions pas de draps ou de couverture pour le sofa-lit. L'agence nous a dit que c'était normal parce que le sofa-lit n'était pas pour nous. Nous avons du prouver, qu'au moment de la réservation, il était clairement mentionné que l'appartement disposait d'un lit et d'un sofa-lit... trois jours plus tard nous avons reçu draps et couverture. Notez aussi qu'un gros chantier de construction est en cours à proximité, c'est très bruyant les jours de semaine.

La quantité des produits (lave vaisselle, pastilles pour le linge) est très limitée et le papier toilette est venu à manquer en fin de séjour.
De plus, le séchoir pour pendre les habits était abîmé ce qui limite son fonctionnement.

Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr groß und hell und modern ausgestattet.
Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, da nicht alles gereinigt wurde und man auch nicht die Möglichkeit hatte, selbst sauber zu machen, da keine Putzutensilien vorhanden waren.

All was very easy to do from there.
In the daytime from monday to friday its sometimes a bit noisy from the school, which is directly next to it. But… its kids playing... and that´s kind of a good noise, right? :)
All in all the apartment is wonderful! So much space. Very clean and all you need to have a great stay!

for short stays like mine (5 nights) I would have liked a few more amenities such as shampoo and or body wash, small amount of laundry soap (had to buy a large bottle that we left), at least one pod of dishwasher soap. Nice dishwasher but didn’t use it because we didn’t want to have to buy a large quantity of that too. As far as I know I never communicated with the host as the rental agency handled everything. While they were able to let us in after a two hour wait, their instructions were unclear, incorrect and insufficient to gain access ourselves. All said, if you’re staying for only a short time, be sure to bring everything you need in terms of body and clothes washing. It’s a great location for the reasons stated above.

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Anbindung an Strand und Stadt. In der Nähe ist auch gleich ein Bahnhof und eine Busstation in Richtung Innenstadt.
Wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt, da alles wohnlich eingerichtet war. Es waren alle benötigten Dinge in der Wohnung vorhanden, jedoch wäre es besser gewesen man hätte wenigstens mehr von jedem Reinigungsartikel wie zum Beispiel Müllbeutel gehabt. (uns hat 1 Müllbeutel extra nicht für 2 Wochen gereicht)
Es waren wunderschöne 2 Wochen und wir würden auf jedenfall wieder kommen. Die Preisleistung war super und man konnte somit viel in Portugal erleben.

Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist wirklich sehr gut und es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt ! Leider ist die Wohnung im Gegensatz zu den Fotos bereits sehr abgewohnt. Dies betraf vor allem die Balkonmöbel und die Küchenzeile sowie das Bad! Das war leider etwas schade und das haben wir so nicht erwartet.
Ansonsten hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt und können die Wohnung empfehlen!

We planned the Algarve in the middle of our two week trip in Portugal to purposely to do laundry, only to find that we had to buy a large bottle of detergent because there was none on site. In addition, we were given two rolls of toilet paper for a 5 night stay - missed that in description - but again, reminded me that it’s a rental apartment - not the same as what I’ve been used to. The bed is somewhat comfortable, but the sheets are thin and stiff.
As for the noise people wrote about, we found the apartment to be quiet and peaceful.
If you’re looking for a large unit, close to the marina and beaches, then this place is great.

On the surface the place is great. Spacious, new, and with a lot of amenities. But there where a number of things that bothered us during our stay.
One of the main reasons for us choosing this place was to have a pool available. Unfortunately the pool was dirty every time we went there. We reported this, and was told it would be reported to the condominium. Nothing changed though.
The faucet was broken when we arrived, so we physically had to hold it while we used it. When we reported this, we were told that they would look at it during check-out, a week later. The washing machine smelled, and no cleaning supplies for us to clean it. The kitchen was crooked, and the plinth was constantly falling out, hitting us.
In general, it doesn't seem to be put a lot of effort into the place. We constantly discovered things that were broken or not maintained.

Erstens ist die Wohnung in einem schlechten Zustand. Der Wäscheständer war kaputt und die Dusche funktionierte nicht richtig. Das Wasser wechselte ständig zwischen eiskalt und siedend heiß. Das hat das Duschen zu einer unangenehmen Erfahrung gemacht.
Jedoch möchte ich besonders den folgenden Punkt hervorheben. In der Beschreibung wurde der Zugang zum Fitnessstudio zugesichert. Leider wurde mir der Schlüssel erst nach zweimaligem Nachfragen und erst am dritten Tag meines Aufenthalts übergeben. Dieser Schlüssel hätte von Anfang an verfügbar sein müssen. Ich bat um eine angemessene Kompensation, da ich gezwungen war, mir für die restliche Zeit meines Aufenthalts ein anderes Fitnessstudio in der Nähe zu suchen. Leider habe ich vom Gastgeber keine Kompensation erhalten.

However, once my wife and I were actually in the property, we were delighted. It was everything we had hoped for. Clean, light, airy, spacious and well appointed. Great TV and WiFi. Lovely and peaceful in the evening and overnight.
For our week in Lagos, it was perfect, with easy access to superb beaches and the town itself. We hadn't hired a car and frankly it wasn't needed. We had arrived in Lagos after a weeks cycling south through the Rota Vicentina to the Algarve and simply wanted to relax. Eating out was a pleasure with plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes. Plenty of supermarkets within easy reach.
So thank you for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

The main issue is that the flat is loud, very loud. You can hear all the neighbours’ conversations distinctly (and more), and the balcony is facing a school so you can hear the children every day of the week.
Finally, the apartment would benefit from a bit of decoration - it’s all grey and lacks some proper lighting.
We were overall happy with our stay as we went in low season so the price of the flat was almost half of what it is during high season.

Additionally, the location was fantastic. It was just a short walk to the beach, marina, and city center, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
However, there were a few areas for improvement. The service and communication with the management company were not as smooth as we expected. We encountered a problem, and it took a lot of back and forth to resolve it, which was disappointing. Furthermore, the first cleaning lady was quite rude to us, which was not a pleasant experience.
Despite these issues, our overall stay was very positive, and I would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place in the heart of Lagos

Außerdem ist sie nur ca. 15min zu Fuß vom Zentrum entfernt.
Nennenswert ist auch, dass es genügend Parkmöglichkeiten vor/hinter dem Haus gibt.

The house is quiet, so you can enjoy being there peacefully.
The apartment has little imperfections, but it doesn’t affect being in there.
The pool at the roof is cold, but really nice and being cleaned all the time. Deck chairs are a little bit dusty but comfortable.
We will definitely come there again ;)

The apartment is not ín the city centre, but with a 15min walk you are. In return you get a very spacious apartment. The balcony is also nice to relax and have some coffee in the morning.

Nur wenige Minuten Zu Fuß an den Strand und ca 20 Min Zu Fuß in die Stadt (Restaurants etc). Wir würden ein Auto empfehlen um überall in der Umgebung alles anschauen zu können.

One minor thing: the poolarea isn’t as clean as the apartment, also the quality of the water didn’t attract us to take a dive. We only went to the roof for some sunbathing.

Our hostess was Dulce and she made our holiday even better with her local knowledge of the beaches, things to do and restaurant suggestions. We really enjoyed Lagos and this apartment was a great base for an enjoyable holiday.

The area is very calm and felt safe during our stay. In addition to that it’s only 5 minutes (walking) from the train station. From the station you can reach the bus station on the other side of the pier (also 5 minutes walking) At the pier side you will find many great restaurants, stores and cafes. Once again, we really enjoyed our time and felt very comfortable staying at Marinas apartment. Thank you!

Im Bad fehlen lediglich ein paar Ablageflächen und Haken.
Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem Wohnviertel, man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Marina und in ca 10min im Zentrum von Lagos.
Gegenüber befindet sich eine Schule.
Die Kommunikation verlief top, wir hatten einen sehr netten Check in mit Dulce, die uns einige Tipps gegeben hat! Vielen Dank dafür und auch für die Leckerei und den Wein!

La casa es mucho más grande de lo que imaginábamos en las fotos, tiene todo lo que necesitas y la piscina es un valor añadido para disfrutar de un baño. La limpieza genial también. En cuanto a la ubicación, a pesar de no estar en el centro, accedes muy bien a través de un puente en la marina por lo que nosotros agradecimos estar un pelín más alejados del bullicio ya que, nos gustaba coger el coche y visitar otros lugares como Sagres o la costa vicentina.
En definitiva, la casa es perfecta en todos los sentidos y la amabilidad y trato recibido está por encima de las expectativas de cualquier alojamiento.
Recomendaríamos la casa una y mil veces más.

Tijdens ons verblijf hadden we de mogelijkheid om lekker te ontspannen in het appartement of bij het zwembad. De locatie is super. Het appartement ligt in een iets rustigere omgeving maar nog steeds dichtbij het historische centrum, het strand en de supermarkt.
Kortom het appartement was super!

Perfect location to access everything, right next to the train station to quickly go into portimao for shopping. 5 minutes walk from the beach and marina, 10 minutes walk from the town.

Maria was our contact and checked us in and gave us fig jam. She gave us information about the town and helped us when we locked ourselves out of the apartment.
Lagos is a wonderful place and we had an excellent time and we were sad to leave.

The Apartment is in a quiet neighborhood right behind the marina whichwas great for the evenings.
The pool on top of the roof is the icing on the cake!

Wifi has a new router and the connection was perfect throughout the apartment, including the balconies.
The apartment as described is just a few minutes walk from the Marina and 10/15 mins from the Old Town and beaches. With a supermarket less than 10 mins walk, it is a good location for a base in Lagos.
Maria was there to greet us when we arrived with a warm welcome, including some homemade jam (which was delicious).
Not only would we recommend this apartment but we will most definitely be back.
