The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old centre with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here, you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options are available, and they are located just a few minutes' walk from the apartment.
Due to the central location, you will have lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from in the close vicinity of the apartment. In addition, a supermarket is located at less than 5 minutes walk.
Getting around
You can quickly get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber. A hire car is recommended if you want to explore the larger Algarve area. Parking in old town Olhão is accessible in most places, except along the waterfront. It can be challenging to find it, but a spot will usually be available close to the apartment. An extensive paid parking area at a nearby hotel is a good alternative for those uncomfortable navigating the old town streets.

Améliorations à apporter pour l’entretien en profondeur de l’appartement : odeur de moisis, poussière ...
Malgré le banc placé entre les 2 portes, des voitures ou camionnettes stationnent au ras des portes.
Les membres de Rental Valley sont très réactifs en cas de problème.

Unfortunately the first impression of the inside was a damp and moldy smell caused by black mold in the bathroom and under a leaking kitchen sink accompanied by some deficiencies in cleanliness. When the place was warmed up by electric heating an issue with the electric circuit breaker appeared.
The handling of the issues by the service is very positive to mention. Although christmas time a handy man fixed the sink the next day.
Overall we could enjoy the stay.

Le logement est très bien situé, proche du port, du superbe marché couvert, des départs pour les îles. Et à 15min à pieds de la gare ! Donc très agréable d'être proche de tout lorsque nous faisons le choix de tout faire en transports en commun. La taille du logement est conforme à la description et les lits sont très confortables.
Cependant... je me dois de signaler certaines choses négatives, des choses qui ont déjà été signalé par d'autres voyageur·euses mais qui n'ont pas été changé : la présence de cafards, les placards de la cuisine sont sales, le pommeau de douche est cassé... Je ne peux que conseiller aux propriétaires de remédier à cela !

Malheureusement nous avons du gérer cela à notre arrivée alors que nous étions en vacances. Rien n'a été fait pour éliminer les cafards. Nous sommes parvenu à les recouvrir d'un couvercle de casserole rendant inaccessible la cuisine et les équipements par mesure d'hygiène, alors que nous avions choisi ce logement en conséquence.
Aussi, nous avons du laisser le logement à disposition sur une après-midi, à partir de notre 3ème jour sur place pour qu'une "équipe" de nettoyage vienne nettoyer. Encore une fois pour le stricte minimum : cuvette toilettes et coup de balai approximatif sous le lit. Certes, beaucoup de courtoisie dans les échanges. Mais à quoi cela sert-elle quand vous vous retrouvez à gérer cela pendant vos vacances alors que vous avez payé en amont des frais de ménages, en plus excessifs, qui n'ont pas été totalement remboursé

Nous regrettons vivement que votre expérience n'ait pas été à la hauteur des normes élevées que nous nous efforçons de maintenir pour nos clients. La propreté est l'une de nos priorités, et nous nous excusons que votre logement n'ait pas été à la hauteur à votre arrivée. Dès que vous nous avez informés du problème, nous avons immédiatement renvoyé l'équipe de nettoyage pour remédier à la situation et réparer les erreurs commises.
En ce qui concerne la présence de cafards, nous avons pris des mesures immédiates pour résoudre ce problème inhabituel, car nous n'avons jamais connu un tel problème dans cet appartement auparavant. Nous comprenons parfaitement qu'il est inacceptable d'être confronté à ce problème pendant vos vacances et nous avons fait tout notre possible pour le résoudre le plus rapidement possible. Nous avons également offert une compensation financière à la fin de votre séjour en guise de bonne volonté, même si, bien sûr, cela n'aurait pas dû se produire en premier lieu.
Nous constatons que vous n'avez attribué que 3 étoiles à l'emplacement de l'hôtel, ce qui est un peu surprenant car la plupart de nos clients apprécient la proximité des bars et des restaurants. Cependant, nous comprenons que l'expérience de chaque client est unique et nous apprécions votre opinion.
Malgré ces difficultés, nous espérons que vous avez pu profiter de certains aspects de vos vacances, et nous serions ravis de vous accueillir à nouveau pour un séjour plus détendu et sans souci à l'avenir.

El único problema es que la casa olía mucho a humedad.
En la descripción dice que tienes champú y gel y champú no había.
Las camas súper cómodas. En septiembre bien pero si vienes con más calor, no hay AC.

Qq points de revoir : pommeau de douche qui fuit, lunette des WC mal fixée et 1 porte de cuisine mal accrochée.
Pas d accueil personnalisé mais boîte à clé ok et bonne communication avec l hôte.

Os quartos são pequenos, a cozinha muito pequena. Sugestões de melhoria: Ar condicionado e limpeza mais profunda (muito pó debaixo dos tapetes e das camas)

De facto, este é um apartamento muito tradicional português, por isso, por vezes, os quartos podem parecer um pouco pequenos - mas o carácter compensa isso!

Mal servicio, limpieza escasa, alojamiento incómodo.
Cuando llegamos al alojamiento no teníamos toallas, ni papel higiénico. El termo estaba desconectado, no hubo agua caliente hasta que nos dimos cuenta de ello, la nevera también estaba desenchufada, la puerta que comunicaba con el apartamento superior abierta, con acceso desde el otro lado, tuvimos que atrancarla con un butacón puesto en el pomo, hasta que vimos una llave guardada en un recipiente, que fue el último día. Alojamiento para cuatro personas que no cuenta con un sofá, solo dos butacones, donde pueden sentarse sólo dos personas. Mesa de comedor diminuta para cuatro personas. Inodoro sucio y sin escobilla.
