The space
Dutch tradition and modern living come together in our Volendam Old Bridge Residence. Your stylishly decorated private room with private ensuite bathroom is located in a guesthouse with six private rooms in total. All our rooms are modern and light and have a comfortable large double bed and a luxury ensuite bathroom. Each room has coffee and tea facilities.
The guesthouse is located right next to the famous Volendam harbour. Just walk out of the front door and you will be in the middle of everything this traditional Dutch town has to offer. Supermarkets and other shops are just a few minutes walk away.

The neighborhood
Volendam is famous for the traditional Dutch folklore that is still very visible here. Although majority of it is now catered towards tourism, you should not be surprised to see locals pass by in traditional dress and fishing is still a big part of the income for this community.
You will be able to enjoy this folklore while visiting the harbour, the museums and churches.
From Volendam it is only a short way to Amsterdam and Alkmaar if you want to enjoy some city life and to other smaller Dutch towns that are located on the Markemeer and Ijsselmeer lakes such as Marken, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Or how about a day trip to one of the Dutch islands? It is the perfect location to experience many of the aspects that Dutch culture has to offer.
Getting around
From Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct bus to Volendam that take about 30 minutes and goes regularly from early morning to late evening.

Pour nous, comme son nom l'indique, c'était un hôtel avec un agent d'accueil et non pas une location !! Très difficile de communiquer par téléphone (barrière de la langue) devant la porte et une rue bruyante ! Pas d'info pour le code Wifi. Pour le parking, des habitants du quartier nous ont renseignés. Le 2ème jour, on a reçu un message comme quoi nous n'étions pas enregistrés et qu'il fallait contacter Booking dans les 5 mn et c'était déjà trop tard ! Nous avons repris nos affaires avec nous de crainte de ne pas pouvoir ouvrir la porte le 2nd soir. Tout cela nous a fait stresser pour rien. L'organisme de location pourrait prévoir la traduction dans la langue du client. Avec L'IA, cela doit être possible

Locatie Ik weet eigenlijk niet hoe ik dit moet omschrijven zo treurig als het is. Het begon al bij de aanloop waarbij ik in de weken voor de boeking al zeker 30 phishing mails mocht ontvangen van de rental valley. Bij binnenkomst stinkt het naar een 15 jaar oude rookkot. Bij het deurslot is alleen van buiten vast te stellen dat de deur op slot zit, van binnen moet je maar hopen dat niemand zo maar binnen kan komen.
En dan het feit dat je boven een kroeg zit....ok zoiets hadden we verwacht uit de beschrijving, maar de bas hier dreunt door m'n kiezen heen. Hoe kan je met droge ogen dit voor deze prijs aanbieden zonder dit kenbaar te maken? In het weekend is slapen voor 0200 onmogelijk en om 0800 uur komt de schoonmaakploeg. Je gaat hier lekker uitgerust weer weg.
Het is echt absurd. Ik snap daarom ook niets van de hoge score. De faciliteiten en locatie zijn misschien in orde, maar daar houdt het ook op.

La habitación tiene una ubicación perfecta, a unos pasos de la calle principal del centro, con muchos restaurantes, bares y sitios de interés. La habitación es cómoda y muy bonita, el baño es de muy buen tamaño. Te incluye aguas y cafe nespresso. En mi caso, llegue antes del horario del check in y pudieron darme la habitación desde antes. La habitación tenia un pequeño balcon, que tenia un gran vista a Voledam. Espero regresar pronto!!

De kamer was erg compleet. Flesje water, tandenborstel, douche benodigdheden, lekkere dikke handdoeken. Het is best gehorig. Als je een moeilijke slaper bent kun je beter verder kijken. Je hoort de kroeg geluiden van de straat.

L'emplacement, très bien situé à 2 pas du front de mer

Prix très intéressant La chambre était petite, sans rangement avec une décoration que nous avons trouvé passable (les photos sur booking mettent en avant les meilleurs chambre, nous en avons eu une de moindre qualité)
Une ampoule de lampe de chevet manquante
Il n'y a pas d’accueil, juste une porte avec un code... qu'on ne nous a jamais donné avant d'arriver face à cette porte. Nous avons du appeler quelqu'un qui nous a donné plusieurs code faux avant de nous donner le bon.
Nous avons eu le malheur d'être là un soir ou le bar du dessous faisait la fête (Vendredi), je confirme les autres commentaires qui en parle, le bruit été infernal jusqu'à 1h30 du matin. Nous avons préféré en rire tellement c'était absurde, les murs vibraient.
Il y a un digicode à taper sur la poignet pour rentrer... sauf qu'en fait ça ne sert à rien ! La porte s'ouvre même si on ne tape rien. Nous avons eu le plaisir de voir quelqu'un ouvrir notre porte de chambre à 22h alors que nous étions au lit. Nous ne sommes pas vraiment senti en sécurité en sachant que n'importe qui qui passait dans le couloir pouvez ouvrir la porte.
Heureusement nous ne sommes resté qu'un jour. Je dirais que pour un court séjour, si vous tombez sur la bonne chambre, avec une poignet qui se verrouille, un soir ou le bar du dessous ne fait pas la fête, ça doit être un très bel endroit, facile 8/10. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu cette chance, notre experience était plutôt 5/10.

Netjes, perfecte locatie strak aan de dijk Kon geen raampje open doen, locatie is boven het café de Buren, na 2 uur gaat het geluid uit voor die tijd kan je goed meegenieten van het geluid.

Leider war die Wohnung doppelt gebucht, so das wir zwar in die Wohnung kamen, aber andere Sachen von Leuten drinlagen. Man hat jemanden erreicht und airBnB und die zuständigen Co-Bucher haben gut reagiert. Die Stornierung hat geklappt. Aber der Tag war natürlich gelaufen. Ich weiß nicht ob das eine Masche ist oder ob es Pech war, aber es war in diesem Fall nicht empfehlenswert
