Die Unterkunft ist super zentral gelegen. Man schaut sehr schön auf den Kanal und kann alles fußläufig erreichen. Das alte Haus hat Charm. Es ist geräumig und für 4 Personen sehr komfortabel. Die Ausstattung ist ok und der Kontakt war gut und freundlich. Achtung: das Parken ist für deutsche Verhältnisse teuer.

Charming 400 + year old house on the spaarne canal. Beautiful views from the giant windows. Walking distance from all the sites in the city. Stayed here for 8 days while in the Netherlands, traveling to many other towns. Bus stop is just minutes from the front door, easy access to the rest of the country. We would highly recommend this beautiful spot.

La casa es amplia pero necesita restauración, fundamentalmente en el baño. El suelo de la casa suelo es de moqueta y también necesitaría un cambio. No estaba especialmente limpia. Las escaleras de acceso a la vivienda son de bastante dificultad, no son aptas para cualquier persona, además fue muy incómodo subir y bajar maletas. La casa dispone de lavadora, pero no y facilitan ni tendedero ni una plancha, lo solicité al propietario y se negó a proporcionarlo. La ubicación de la casa es muy buena y la ciudad muy agradable y bonita.

Das Objekt liegt in bester Lage. Der Blick aus dem WZ ist unbezahlbar. Die Schlafmöglichkeiten gehen zum ruhigen Hinterhof. Es gibt aber eine Reihe von Maßnahmen die anstehen. Die trüben den Gesamteindruck ein wenig, aber die Lage holt alles wieder raus. (schon klar da macht man ungern eine Woche Sanierungspause). Die Dusche benötigt einen Dichtungsring, die Jalousie im Arbeitszimmer ist Teil defekt, der Fenstermechanismus muß bei allen Fenstern überprüft werden im Wohnzimmer intensiver. Das Geschirr bedarf einer Auffüllung, im Kühlschrank ist das untere Fach gerissen die Pfannen und Topfgriffe sollten wieder einmal befestigt werden(Küche sonst ausreichend). Über alles ein positives Feedback, mit leicht zu verdienender Luft nach oben. Die Unterlagen zur Abreise waren zwischen Auslage und Mail unterschiedlich. Viele Grüße Micharl Tiedke (PS. Alles war wie erwartet für ein altes Grachtenhaus. Die Wohnung hat viel Charme und die hohen Decken machten es besonders. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Fenster. Fast überhaupt nicht zu öffnen und wenn nur wenige Zentimeter. Da wir Temperaturen von ca. 38/39 Grad hatten, waren die Nächte, besonders unter dem Dach dementsprechend. Die beiden Ventilatoren haben da auch nicht mehr viel geholfen. Abgesehen davon war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Charming apartment with modern furnishings, full kitchen, good internet, dining table, couch and TV, two comfortable bedrooms, and a study with large desk and chair. You can really feel at home here. Beautiful water view over the Spaarne. Note for anyone who has problems climbing stairs: this apartment is at the top of a typical Dutch staircase (very steep) and once inside, the 2nd B/R is at top of a spiral staircase. Location is about 20 minutes' walk from central train station, closer to Grote Markt and museums. Lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby. Large sunny windows, lovely in cool weather, but not all of them open easily and there is no A/C, so it might not be the best choice in high summer. Tip for getting to airport: take the #300 bus -- there is a stop about 10 minutes' walk away.

A great location close to lot of quaint cafes and the town center square. Easy access to bus stop. Front windows overlook canal for an interesting view of all that goes on with boating activity. This 400 year old canal house is a gem, but the decor and amenities do not live up to the possibilities that this property could offer. This accommodation was pretty clean, but very very basic. Reminded us of staying a buddy’s flat while he is out of town for Spring Break from University. Would I stay here again… yes definitely for the location… but not for making me feel like a valued guest.

When we arrived we immediately noticed that the internet speeds were not fast enough for regular usage (it ranged between 5MB/s and 8MB/s). We couldn't even normally check emails, even less work. Since we rented the place in order to be able to work together as a team there, this rendered it useless. When we reached out to support, we received no solution or offer to offset this. We spent the rest of our stay trying to solve this issue. After that, we noticed that one of the beds did not have the sheets changed before our stay (we found human scabs on them). When we reached out to support, we asked that they confirm an appointment time to come solve this. Instead, someone showed up without warning, and really scared us. After that, we noticed the other bed also had dirty bedsheets and pillow cases, and the towels we were given were stained. There was also hair in the shower wall, and soap on the stand. This place is being mismanaged, which is a shame, since it's in a great location.

A week before we arrived, I read the terrible reviews from May & June 23. So I contacted the management company "Rental Valley" to express my concern & asked if they would try to address the situation before we checked in. No one responded for 5 days so I chased again. Then Alvaro from Rental Valley responded & said he has 'reached out' to the cleaning & maintenance team. That was the last I heard from him. Every issue that was mentioned in the May & June reviews had not been resolved: door handles falling off doors, dirty & broken window frames that had been screwed closed, holes in the dirty walls, dust on the beams, broken smoke alarms discarded in the cupboards (also old cables & a no-smoking sign that had fallen off the wall), the smell of mould in the hallway, a dirty toilet that's obviously never been cleaned (we have pics), mugs without handles, towels that are old, stained & frayed. Sad fact is, all of these things are easily fixed if the owner or Rental Valley actually cared

Cozy appartement in a beautiful town
Positive: The appartement was cozy, you feel at home.. Great area with all kind of good restaurants, public transport, musea around you. Within 1 hour you will be at Museums in Amsterdam. Appartement way cheaper then in Amsterdam. Negative: We encountered some minor defects on arrival, mailed to team and for us was ok to fix when we left. Had to get used to the steep stairs.

Although cute and great location, it is not accessible with 3 extremely steep flights of stairs. The apartment is in a general sense of disrepair with broken door handles, broken faucets, the fridge is cracked and freezer would not close. With no AC available the windows are extremely heavy to open and no way to securely keep them open other than with a block of wood. When checking in we arrived at the designated time and they were still cleaning yet we found trash on the floor and we had to rewash dishes in order to use them. The place is cute but definitely needs some TLC. Communication was good through the app when having any problems. Great view of the river and great location for restaurants.

The apartment is advertised as "Spaarne Luxury Residence Haarlem". For a daily rate including the additional expenses of 340 euros you can expect the following luxury: A dirty and completely worn apartment, stained bed linen, hair sticking to the kitchen and bathroom door, dirty and broken window frames, stained carpet and seating, holes in the dirty walls, fridge makeshift repaired with duct tape, door handles falling off in the bathroom and loose hardware in the toilet, broken blinds on the windows, wobbly bedside lamps and loose screwed spotlights. Dirty and thickly dust-covered wooden beams. The third room is cluttered with furniture and not usable. The email correspondence about the deficiencies suggests that the management seems to know nothing about the current condition of the apartment. So if you want to get really angry and feel ripped off for your money during your vacation, this is the place for you.

The apartment is in a beautiful location overlooking the river in Haarlem. It is spacious and the living space and bedrooms are very comfortable. The internal stairs up to the property are very steep so would not be accessible to all. The apartment would have benefited from some additional mugs, a toaster/or grill and a working dishwasher. Whenever we tried to use the dishwasher, the electricity cut out. Aside from these issues, the place would have been a really great place to stay.

Er is een stijle trap naar boven, hoe hoger je komt in het trappenhuis werd ook de stank heviger. Ook in de keuken hing een zeer vieze lucht, mogelijk door het ontbreken van een afzuigkap. De raambekleding werkte niet of niet naar behoren en ook miste er een lamp in de slaapkamer beneden, waardoor je savonds nauwelijks licht hebt. Het appartement ligt centraal bij het centrum, er is voldoende parkeergelegenheid in de buurt en we hadden geen geluidsoverlast.

HORRIBLE, AVOID - AVOID - AVOID!!!
Positive: Nothing was as advertised, poor management and the apartment was not ready at check in time. TERRIBLE! add to that the lie that was communicated about parking and it was a stressful/uncomfortable situation cause by the lack of competent management. TERRIBLE doesn't begin to describe their performance and customer service it was below that standard, just atrocious. Negative: EVERYTHING! the apartment is in dilapidated condition as best, woefully in need of renovation. The couch is 40+ years old, has a dust filled smelly 'blanket' on it to cover it's poor condition. The carpet is stained, worn and has gum stuck in it, blinds are non-operational and do not darken rooms. Doors creak as if they could use a liter of lube, all in all it needs maintaince and the junk storage removed from the facility. This doesn't even begin to describe the stairs that are greater than 10% grade to climb and twist and turn and practically tumble on every step. TERRIBLE!

Positive: Prachtige locatie, monumentaal pand in het centrum. Erg sfeervol. Fijn bed. Ruim voor 4 personen. Negative: Tijd voor een opknapbeurt! Afbreuk door losse trap-vloerbedekking, af en toe rioollucht door losse riooldop in de studeerkamer. Diverse deurklinken zitten los. Koffieapparaat stuk, glasservies is en wel erg bonte verzameling.

Positive: Die zentrale Lage (könnte nicht besser sein), die Art und Grösse der Wohnung, soweit unkompliziert- auch weil niemand vor Ort war... Schönes Dach-Schlafzimmer. Negative: Kontakt zum Mieter / Personal: Leider komplett unpersönliche, automatische Mails des Vermieters, keine Person hat sich blicken lassen oder sich interessiert. Dafür massenhaft Info- und Forderungsmails und immer doppelt. - Der Preis war soweit ok, aber der Vermieter hatte ausser der Reinigung ( die ja verrechnet wird) null Aufwand! Die Wohnungsbeschreibung ist sehr sparsam und entspricht dementsprechend nicht sehr der Realität, insbesondere die Zugangstreppe ist extrem steil, und dies ist nirgens in der Beschreibung erwähnt. Wer wenig schreibt, sagt auch nicht viel falsches. Einrichtung und Zustand der Wohnung: Diverse Türfallen und sonstige Einrichtungen waren lose oder defekt. Teppiche und Sofa sind -ohne heikel zu sein- sehr grenzwertig im Zustand und Geruch... Die Fenster sind nicht sinnvoll zu öffnen und die "Vorfenster" die billigste Variante die es gibt. Duschschlauch ist defekt, wie so viele andere Details siehe oben. Man den Eindruck, es interessiert niemanden. Schade. z.B. wurden Zusatzteppiche und Kunstfellüberzug als Fleckenkaschierung verwendet (Sofa) Die Einrichtung ist sicher Geschmackssache, jedoch hat man den Eindruck, dass ein Standard Einrichtungspaket hingestellt wurde, lieblos. Das sind sicher alles Details, jedoch entsteht Qualität und ein gutes Gefühl genau da. Trotz allem würden wir wieder buchen, für ein paar Tage geht das :-) Wir hoffen diese längere Liste findet Gehör beim Vermieter. Danke.

Positive: Good location. Hosts brought 4 wine glasses and cereal bowls when we complained. Negative: Property maintenance is badly lacking. There was one wine glass, and that was cracked. There were 2 small cereal bowls. Kitchen faucet was just loose (unsecured) in the counter, the microwave door handle was broken at one end and there were flowers on the dining table that had been dead at least 3 weeks. The non-stick frypan was in very bad shape, the carpet was loose at the bottom of the stairs and smelled very much like it had been wet for a while. Very small amounts (probably leftovers) of toilet paper and soap.

Positive: Het was een ideale locatie, dicht bij het centrum. De accommodatie was goed schoon. De keuken was voorzien van een goed koffiezetapparaat en was compleet met alles wat we nodig hadden. Zou dit zeker aanraden aan andere reizigers. Negative: De huisvuilpas was niet aanwezig. Wij konden dus niet zelf het afval wegbrengen en hebben dat gedurende ons verblijf laten staan. Het monumentale pand is sfeervol ingericht met comfortabel meubilair dus we vonden het niet alleen een goeie uitvalsbasis maar ook een fijne plek om te relaxen. Positive: Lage und Aussicht Negative: Es gibt eine halsbrecherische Treppe, die man zunächst erklimmen muss, damit man in die Wohnung kommt. Nichts für grosse Menschen oder Ältere. Ich war mit meinen Eltern da, über 75 Jahre, die konnten die Treppe nicht mit ihrem Gepäck laufen. Es dauerte lange bis meine Eltern rauf und runterkommen konnten. Die Treppe ist sehr gefährlich. Auch für Kinder völlig ungeeignet!!! Die Heizung funktionierte nicht richtig, überall sind Aushänge an den Wänden geklebt, was man machen soll, wenn die Treppe nicht richtig funktioniert. Wir haben alles gemäss der Anleitung gemacht und habe sofort bei Ankunft die Verwaltung informiert. Die Verwaltung ist erst 24 Stunden SPÄTER vorbeigekommen. Ich musste mit meinen Eltern um 20h abends in Daunenjacken Fernsehen. Hinterm Sofa war es dreckig und leere Wasserflaschen lagen rum. Wir hatten 3 Nächte gebucht und sind aufgrund der Kälte und Treppe nach einer Nacht abgereist. Der Vermieter wohnt in demselben Haus und hat null Interesse an dem Wohl der Gäste - Hauptsache es wird monetär abgeräumt. Ich kann die Bewertungen überhaupt nicht verstehen, die diese Wohnung hat und vermute stark, dass diese FAKE sind. Fazit: auf keinen Fall buchen!!!

Positive: De locatie aan de Spaarne was uitstekend en het appartement was ook erg aangenaam om te verblijven. prachtig uitzicht, mooi ingericht en veel ruimte. Negative: Geen negatieve feedback maar goed om te weten: -De trappen naar de 2e verdieping zijn erg stijl, dat was geen probleem maar wel goed om van te voren te weten, mocht je wat minder valide zijn. -Het raam openzetten (het daarvoor bestemde blok hout ertussen plaatsen) kun je het beste met 2-en doen. Tip om te repareren: Diverse deurklinken (slaapkamers en badkamer) zaten los en vielen er af en toe af. Dat deed overigens niets af aan het verblijf en kan gemaakt worden.

Haarlem est une ville très agréable et l'appartement est très bien placé. La communication est très facile et les réponses sont toujours très rapides. L'appartement est très spacieux et confortable. Il faut savoir qu'il y a en effet des escaliers très raides pour accéder à l'appartement. Les équipements comme le frigidaire sont fonctionnels mais pourraient être changés. Il faut également savoir que la cuisine est très chichement fournie.

Tout à déjà été dis dans les commentaires précédent. L’appartement n’est en effet pas fais pour des personnes âgées ou même des enfants. En revanche entre amis ou entre couple il est parfait. Nous étions pour notre part en voiture vous pouvez la garer dans la rue en face c’est gratuit de 23h à 9h du matin. Sinon l’appartement est conforme au photo. Très mignon. Petit plan si vous allez en voiture. C’est mieux de prendre la voiture pour se rendre à Amsterdam même si il y a beaucoup de bouchon c’est vrai mais faites attention à l’heure à laquelle vous partez. Vous pouvez garer votre véhicule dans un parking P+R en périphérie d’Amsterdam vous payerai seulement 1€ (si vous garez votre véhicule après 10h) et 8€ ( si vous la garez avant 10h). La seule condition c’est que vous devez prendre le métro pour aller en centre ville pour payer ce prix franchement c’est le top. Renseignez vous.

These top floors of historic canal-side house are amazing. At the very top is a spacious bedroom under the high attic rafters. You need to be able to climb the steep and exposed stairs though. The second bedroom is on the second to top floor and easier to access. Right in the centre of Haarlem, everything is on your doorstep, but it was very quiet at night with no traffic noise. Slept like a log under the whitewashed log rafters in a big comfortable bed.

De Locatie is geweldig, echt in het centrum. Fijn huis, heel oud, sfeervol en je kunt daar tot rust komen. De communicatie is geweldig via een app die je kunt downloaden. Alleen een paar puntjes. De beschrijving in het huis zou ik ook in het Nederlands neer leggen, mijn moeder kon het bijv. niet lezen. Als je het entree binnen komt, dan komt er een geweldige stank je tegemoet. In het tapijt op slaapkamer en woonkamer zitten veel vlekken. Vele deurklinken zaten letterlijk los en jammer dat er voor deze prijs geen bosje bloemen klaar staat ter attentie. Maar dat is misschien teveel gevraagd. De badkamer was smerig, de bovenkant van de wasmachine was zelfs heel goor. Dat was wel jammer. Lampen die je miste in slaapkamer. Rolgordijnen in slaapkamer beneden en boven die niet goed werkte, naar beneden kwamen.

This is a lovely stylish apartment in a great location for exploring the old centre of Haarlem on foot. A good size (especially by Dutch standards) although the bathroom is small and somewhat basic. It is also very quiet with great views over the Spaarne. Be aware, however, that the staircase is extremely steep so not suitable for folks with issues walking and climbing stairs. We loved it and it’s somewhere we would stay again.

This place is absolutely marvelous, maybe I should not recommend it as everyone will want to go and when I am planning to go back, it will be fully booked ;-). No, I am happy to share the hint and the features of this luxury duplex apartment. Very spacious and well and tastefully arranged it is a place you enjoy staying at and coming back to at night! Very quiet and convenient, did not miss anything! For us it was not a problem but I could imagine it is not suitable for elderly people that are frightened of steep and narrow stairs to get up to the 2nd floor. The communication and tips and everything was fast and clear and all well organized. Besides that Haarlem was a great discovery and much more relaxed than Amsterdam, 15’ train ride away, bikes to rent from the station. What else? Make sure you don’t book it when I want to go back! Enjoy! ;-)

Great contact from the host. Very easy pick up of keys. Location perfect. In a really chilled and beautiful area of Haarlem and super close to all you need for food, drink, shops and culture. The apartment was surprisingly big and stylish in a simple way. Only niggles were the steep stairs and we didn’t have much luck with the TV or WiFi. Apart from that - seriously good choice to stay!!

Hidden fees and bad cleaning
We tried a new booking site for the first time since Airbnb isn't too big in Holland - I guess. As soon as we booked we received mails from different companies and had to download an app so we could find the booking etc. After having paid we received another mail saying we had to give our creditcard details we they needed to pay for damages or something like that. That was 1 EUR to do that. I know it is only 1 EUR but if they do it to thousands of people daily it is a good business. It said in the confirmation that we could check in no later than 22.00 or else we'd have to find a hotel. We drove from Denmark so we tried to plan arrival no later than 22. Around 21.00 we received a text saying we couldn't check in no later than 21.30. I tried to call the number but it was disconnected. We arrived to the destination and rang the doorbell. It is a big house and apparently there are two apartments in the house. We mistakenly rang the owners side. He was kind and told us where to pick up the key since he has a company organizing things for him. Picked up the key and entered the apartment. Old place but good enough. Unfortunately cleaning hadn't been too good. We found a ball of hair near the sink in the bathroom, pubic hair on a bath mat, more hair in the shower. When we went to bed I found more hair on the pillow. I know it won't kill us but it is a bad start on the stay. I took pictures and sent them right away. Answer from the company was fast and they replied that it is human to fail - I agree. But there was a lot of hair and any inspection would have seen it. The office tried to make jokes about it - I know with good heart, but still. We had a good stay and we were perhaps unlucky....

Typically Dutch
The stairs to the apartment are typically Dutch. Once up there the layout, position, and views are excellent. Plus it was very quiet. It is clean, warm and comfortable and there was a good supply of kitchen wares. We would definately stay again.

Ein langes Wochenende
Die Unterkunft war wirklich schön. Der Ausblick von oben auf Spaarne und der Umgebung wirklich toll. Der große Wohnbereich mit dem offenen Dachstuhl ist sehr gründlich. Bis auf die Toilette die ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig 🤷♂️ Nur das Treppenhaus stinkt nach Abfluss .

Das Apartment ist großartig gelegen. Mitten in der wunderschönen Altstadt direkt an der Spaarne mit einem fantastischen Blick. Die Einrichtung ist etwas ins die Jahre gekommen und die Küche recht spärlich ausgestattet. Aber gemütlich und geschmackvoll. Es ist zentral aber angenehm ruhig. Leider hatten wir ein offenes Rohr, was einen unangenehmen Geruch hatte. Die Treppen im Hausflur und im Apartment sind weder Kinder-noch seniorengerecht. Es gibt teilweise kein Geländer und das Gepäck zu transportieren ist mühsam. Es gibt keine Ausstattung für Kinder, kein Geschirr, Hochstuhl oder eine Sicherung der Treppen. Für Paare oder Gruppen ist das Apartment schön. Das große Schlafzimmer unter dem Giebeldach lässt einen sehr gut schlafen.

3 nights at Spaarne Luxury Residence
Very good location, no problem getting the key. Instructions once inside were clear. Upstairs bedroom gets a bit cold as the window could not be shut properly. Downstairs nice and cosy. Coffee machine without any capsules, only oil and vinegar in kitchen, no salt/pepper etc.. Equipment ok. Lots of crockery and cutlery. Toilet paper a bit scarce. Stairs could be a problem for either elderly people or people with heavy luggage as the first stairs are more like a ladder (160% rise). Lock to door of flat was a problem as the cylinder keeps shifting. Also the bathroom handle came off one morning and one had to be very careful coming downstairs from the upstairs bedroom as one could easily fall through the gaps. I would recommend a safety net there. The restaurant where we picked up the keys were very helpful in allowing us to leave the luggage there on the day we left until we had to leave for the airport. For us the apartment was ideal - quiet, great location and lovely view. We would definitely come back.

Perfectly located near centre of Haarlem, with a lovely outlook over the Spaarne, and at the back over nearby neighbourhood - however we were not warned about the very steep stairs to this apartment which i think should be mentioned in the information somewhere, very hard to drag a heavy suitcase up! Rooms were quiet and comfortable, with an extra study room which was handy, and a nice dining table and lounge area. But there were chipped glasses & one cracked mug, not expensive to replace these and it would be a better look. The armchairs are very worn & feel a bit dirty. Seperate toilet and a washing machine. 2 Parking stations nearby, one has a stunning rooftop bar/cafe with a great view on the roof. Easy wifi access, we had breakfast at Teds which has just opened next door, excellent! Overall very comfortable & convenient place to stay.

Superbly located comfort on the Spaarne in Haarlem
This is a lovely apartment in a fantastic location for exploring the centre of Haarlem by foot. It’s super quiet at night and the beds are very comfortable (being decently firm which we prefer). A good size for Holland and ideal for a family or two couples. Just a couple of points to note; the staircase is very steep (even by Dutch standards!) so not suitable for folks with walking issues and whilst there is a washing machine, strangely there is no dryer which is pretty inconvenient. Otherwise well equipped and feels like home from home. Recommended.

Excellent apartment in a beautiful location. Well equipt. The instructions for key collection very straight forward and gave us the introduction of aan excellent place to eat. The stairs are a challenge but we only had to climb them once a day to go out and once to come back. We were all in our 70's and one 80 year old and we all managed them. With young children it would be a challenge.

Wir waren Anfang Juli 2019 in Haarlem - und diese Unterkunft als Ausgangspunkt war unbedingt empfehlenswert. Dass es sich um ein altes Grachtenhaus handelt, war bekannt - insofern keine Überraschungen, die ein Vorgänger im Kommentar vermerkt hatte. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, das Haus vollkommen passend und auch sehr ruhig in einer Top-Lage! Wir waren begeistert! - Außerdem war die Abwicklung rundherum problemlos.

Lage top, um die Stadt zu erkunden mit herrlicher Aussicht auf die Spaarne Das Appartment ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Flecken auf dem Teppichfußboden und den Sitzmöbeln. Da gibt es modernere pflegeleichtere Fußbodenbeläge. Sehr steile, 3-fach gewundene Treppe hoch ins Appartment. Fensterarretierungen teilweise zerbrochen. Fenster benötigen Keile, um geöffnet zu halten.

Discovering Haarlem
After collecting a key some 100 meter up the road, we finally figured out that the apartment was not no.90 up the small steps , but a smaller door no.90 to the right, this was not clearly marked . 40 steep steps with heavy suitcases was a feat to get up .Needless to say that my son Brendon nearly concussed himself on one of the beams leading up the staircase. The view from the apartment was quaint , these was a slight mouldy smell which was understandable given the age of the building . Otherwise very comfortable after figuring out how the heating system worked . It was spacious, clean, and conveniently close to all the sights in Haarlem.

Charming apartment in convenient location
Spacious, modern apartment with beautiful view over the Spaarne, just a short walk from Teylers Museum, Frans Hals Museum, shopping district and main square. Comfortable beds and living area. Good internet and kitchen facilities. Friendly owners. About 15 minutes' walk to train station. 300 bus to and from Schiphol Airport stops about 10 minutes' walk away on Gedempte Oude Gracht (travel time to airport approx. 35 min.). North American travellers should note that this apartment is located at the top of a typical Dutch staircase: very steep! Also, for mid-summer travel, note that there is no air conditioning and not all windows open easily. (Dutch weather is rarely very hot.) We enjoyed our visit and would happily stay here again.

Haarlem est bien situé proche d'Amsterdam et de la mer. C'est une ville très agréable. L'appartement est bien situé avec une vue dégagée, proche des boutiques, restaurants, de la gare; Il est bien équipé mais le canapé et les fauteuils mériteraient vraiment d'être remplacés.

We had an excellent stay at the apartment, which was a pleasure to come home to every night. Well located, excellent location, tasteful decoration, complete arrangement with nothing missing, peaceful, comfortable in any sense, we enjoyed every moment. We would love to come back soon also as Haarlem was such a great positive surprise as a city complementing our visits to Amsterdam in the best way possible!
