The space
This traditional three-bedroom two-bathroom villa is situated in the small village of Vale Judeau which is just a short drive to the popular resorts of Vilamoura and Quarteria where you have all you need to enjoy a great holiday in the Algarve.
This lovely one level Villa is set in its own garden with private Pool, which is great for families or friends who want to relax and unwind.
On entering the Villa, you walk into the open plan lounge and dining area which is a great place to have your breakfast or evening meal. There is a small terrace leading from the dining/lounge area with seating that looks over to the swimming pool where you can take a morning dip or simply lie back on one of the Sun loungers and get stuck in a good book.
You have a spacious kitchen fully equipped with all you need should you want to make a small snack to cooking a 5-course meal to enjoy with family or friends. There are plenty of local markets where you can buy fresh produce which truly does not want to be missed.
The Villa has three bedrooms all with Twin beds that can be pushed together to make a larger double bed. This makes it perfect for families or friends.
There are two bathrooms in the property the main bathroom has a bath with over head shower and the second is an en-suite with a shower cubicle leading from the master bedroom.

The neighborhood
The villa is situated in the small village of Vale Judeau.There are a few cafes, restaurants and a small supermarket that are in walking distance from the villa. However, as this is a small Village you may want to travel a little further into the busier resort of Vilamoura where you have the very popular and lively Marina with night life, shops and restaurants from all over the world. The Villa is a great place to relax or to be used as a base if you want to explore the real Algarve.
You have some of the most beautiful beaches just a 15-minute drive away and also the neighbouring towns of Boliqueme, Loule and Almancil, although the Villa is central, we do recommend that you hire a car.
Getting around
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But bus and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended

Only small problem was a Cockerell that lived next door, he used to wake 1 bedroom up around 6.30am each morning..

O barulho. A vizinhança está cheia de cães, patos, galos, etc, etc. De noite era muito barulho! Outro pormenor foi a banheira da case de banho principal, onde a cortina instalada é de muita má qualidade e de péssima funcionalidade!

The house is a good size and layout, but somewhat tired and dated. When we arrived, one of the beds was completely broken, it took a couple of days for the rental company to send anyone to fix it.
The next door house has some very noisy dogs who bark and howl late into the night, they also have some pretty nasty geese who hiss through the fence at the children playing on the garden. The pooll pump is also very noisy.

Wij hebben genoten van de week en komen graag nog eens terug.
Wij vonden zelf de bank niet heel lekker zitten, maar bij mooi weer zit je heerlijk buiten op de ligbedden.
De communicatie was heel goed.
Van te voren hadden wij gevraagd of er een parasol was bij de ligbedden, die was er niet, maar er is wel een grote parasol bij de eettafel.
Bedankt en wellicht tot ziens.

Avoir dû contacter le service pour réglé le problème et qui a au final persister jusqu’au dernier moment.
La terrasse était inondée par l’eau qui sortait d’une sorte de puit.
Se prendre une remarque de la personne qui gère la villa parce qu’on part à midi au lieu de 11h alors qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau pour se laver ça non plus ce n’était pas correct.

Piscine très salle : fond vert et saleté.
Morceaux de verre par terre autour de la piscine.
Balayette de toilette dégoûtante et draps tachés.
Absence d’eau courante avant midi et à partir du milieu de l’après-midi pendant tout le séjour. Absence totale d’eau dans les lavabos, douches, évier et WC.
Aucune solution trouvée. Rental Valley s’est contenté de nous rembourser 30%.
Le deuxième jour a 8h30 du matin nous avons été réveillés par les jardiniers (trois personnes avec des engins à moteur très bruyants) qui taillaient les haies et faisaient l’entretien annuel du jardin jusqu’à midi. Rental Valley nous a dit que c’était indiqué dans le guide de bienvenue. C’est faux.
Horaires de la piscine: 9h-21h.
Ampoules de la terrasse grillées.
Matelas des chaise longues dégoûtants.
Si vous voulez profiter de vos vacances, ne réservez surtout pas cette maison. Elle a gâché nos vacances et regrettons d’avoir logé ici pendant notre séjour pour découvrir l’Algarve.

En revanche nous n’avons pas vu l’hôte du séjour, ni à l’arrivée ni au départ et ni quand nous avons signalé avoir été cambriolé (dès le premier soir). Le quartier ne semble pas très sûr. L’hôte n’a pas essayé de trouver une solution de relogement et n’a pas souhaité nous rembourser. Sa seule préoccupation était de nettoyer la fenêtre cassée suite au cambriolage et savoir si des objets du Airbnb avaient été volé.

4e fois que nous louons cette maison (3 années de suite avant le covid) et on en avait un très bon souvenir, qui malheureusement n'a pas duré avec cette année.
Déjà, le tarif a été multiplié par 3 avant/après covid. Soit, on a donc loué qu'une seule semaine au lieu des 18 nuits habituelles. Sauf que le niveau et la qualité de service ont nettement diminué.
A notre arrivée le vendredi, il n'y avait pas d'eau dans toute la maison, problème de pompe à eau en panne. La gestion a été réactive mais le problème a duré jusqu'au mardi matin, soit 5 jours sur les 8 loués.
On a constaté aussi que près de la moitié des ampoules électriques de la maison ne fonctionnaient pas, il a fallu en changer par nous même (notamment la chambre au fond à droite avec la salle de bain).
Au début de notre séjour le filtre de la piscine ne fonctionnait pas ( il y avait des large bandes marron au fond de l'eau). Après avoir résolu le problème d'eau de la maison, on a constaté que la piscine fuyait, près de 10 cm en moins chaque nuit ! Résultat, la filtration ne fonctionnait toujours pas car aspirait de l'air, et l'eau est devenue complètement trouble.
Dernier point, et cela est probablement dû à la situation économique et sociale actuelle, et probablement également à la situation géographique de la maison, la propriété a été visitée 2 fois par des cambrioleurs, et ce pendant que nous étions dans la maison. La 1ere fois, de nuit, nous étions couchés, ma femme a entendu du bruit dans le jardin, quelqu'un qui marchait. J'ai pensé probablement à un animal et ne me suis pas levé. Sauf que 2 jours plus tard, vers 23h30, on a vu passer un homme devant les fenêtres de la chambre. Je l'ai poursuivi mais il a été plus rapide. La police a été avertie, et on a appris que la maison voisine avait été visitée 2 jours auparavant. Attention donc pour les futurs locataires, et notamment les personnes plus agées.

House was located in a very nice and generally quiet village. Some dogs in a nearby house tended to bark at times, but honestly, it was not that big a distraction for us. The house itself was very nice, well presented and spacious. Parking was more than sufficient, the grounds were well kept and the pool was a great size and generally clean.
Sadly, the not so good stuff.
Almost from the onset, the water pump kept breaking down/malfunctioning (it seems that another recent guest had experienced this as well). Each time its stopped, we had to keep resetting it, multiple times a day. It was very inconvenient, especially late at night, you would have to go out by the side of the house to reset it. The agent, Silvia, was always available and did her best to get things fixed. However, eventually they replaced the motor/pump with a new one. It worked for about a day, then the same thing happened. By this time, we were near the end of our stay so just stopped reporting it.
Furthermore, the locks on some of the doors in some rooms, did not work. Even though we closed the shutters every night, we always felt a little uncomfortable and sadly, a major issue for us was on our final night when we were robbed while we were at home. We didn’t see the culprits but the next morning we realised several items were that were there the night before were missing. Indeed we noticed the kitchen shutters we open. Looking at previous reviews this is not the first time and its quite clear the “locals” know of the security issues of the house.
Finally, while the pool was lovely, it needed topping up from almost day 1, but this did not happen until the last couple of days of our stay.
All in all, it was a bit of a disappointing experience for what could have been a lovely stay.

Mais nous avons vite déchanté dès la 1ère nuit.
L’eau courante arrive par un système de pompe située juste derrière la cuisine.
Celle-ci se mettais en marche par à coup et en continue. Elle résonnait dans toute la maison et nous n’avons pas dormi de la nuit.
A cela s’est rajouté des aboiements de chiens dans la villa d’en face et celle accolée à la nôtre. Ces chiens sont en semi liberté et aboient s’en cesse jusqu’au levé du jour.
Nous avons prévenu l’agence pour la pompe mais on nous dis que la pompe est neuve et qu’il n’y a rien à faire.
Puis finalement celle-ci fini par se mettre en marche uniquement quand on allumait l’eau. 2ème nuit au calme (si on fait abstraction des chiens).
D’autres problèmes surgissent! Pas d’eau chaude, niveau de la piscine qui descend très rapidement laissant de ce fait les buses faire un bruit désagréable (a cela, on nous laisse l’accès à la pompe pour mettre le niveau chaque jour), aucun passage pour l’entretien piscine (la seule fois ou une personne est venue, elle a jetée un tuyau d’aspiration sur le bord en nous lâchant un « hello » qui faisait froid dans le dos). Le pire n’était pas venu. Au 5ème jour, une personne a essayé de rentrer en pleine nuit par la fenêtre de mon fils qui est venu me prévenir de suite! En sortant, les chiens aboyaient, la lumière automatique du garage était allumée et la porte du portail ouverte.
Nous n’avons que peu dormi les 2 derniers jours.
Quand j’ai prévenu l’agence, une fois de plus, on me demande si j’ai appelé la police. Vu la réaction banale, cela doit être normal!
Je passe certains détails mais dans l’ensemble, je déconseille cette villa si vous voulez passer une semaine au calme et en sécurité!

A louça guardada nos armários estava um pouco suja. Tivemos que lavar tudo. Contudo não é o suficiente para desgostar da casa!
