This lovely and light 2-bed, 2-bath apartment it is located right behind the waterfront of Olhão with lots of restaurants and bars just around the corner. The ferries to the famous islands of Culatra, Armona and Deserta are just 10 minutes walking from the apartment and private water taxi's go right in front.
The space
Our apartment is located in a condominium right behind the waterfront on the west-side of Olhão with views over the waterfront and ocean from your private balcony as well as the roof terrace with pool!
The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped to offer you the best possible family holiday. It has 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), a fully equipped kitchen and lounge/dining room with large balcony overlooking a quiet residential street as well as the waterfront and ocean. The apartment has lots of light and is comfortably furnished. All rooms are equipped with A/C.
The neighbourhood is residential and quiet but just a few steps away from an amazing selection of restaurants, bars and shops both along the waterfront in front of our building as in the traditional town center just minutes away. This makes it the perfect getaway for families and adults who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old center with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available. Private ferries can be taken directly in front of the apartment while the public ferries are just about 10 minutes walking away in the main harbour.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber to travel around. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. You can park for free in front of the apartment. There are no reserved spaces but normally there is plenty of space.
Other things to note
➤ Check-in time: 16:00-21:00 - Late arrivals must be explicitly confirmed before booking and and extra payment of 30-50 euros upon arrival might be required.
➤ Check-out time: before 10am
ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests' information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known short as, SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival we shall send to you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us prior to your arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.

Los productos de higiene como gel y champú eran en tamño mini,apenas daba para un vez.
El detergente para la lavadora y el lavavajillas solo para el primer lavado.
De los 7 dias que estuvimos allì 3 hubo cortes de agua,cuando volviamos al apartamento sobre las 8 no podiamos ducharnos asta las 10 de la noche.

No view to speak of. If you hang off the balcony you might catch a glint of water through the trees.
Dishwasher and several items in kitchen left dirty. Pots, cutlery and plates put away unclean. Filter in dishwasher needed cleaning. Light on hobtop not fully working. Lights in main ensuite not fully working. A damaged cushion on dining seat.
No access to the safe, a definite plus for travellers.
Drain in main ensuite verrry slow to drain

No instruction for pool access.

During blackout....apartment unprepared for this emergency.
Had to buy things to light gas stove. (Matches or gas lighter)

No emergency lighting in the stairwell.
No manual way to open shutters on windows.
One of the lifts stopped working permanently.

Apartment was very clean. All rooms were spacious. Kitchen was excellently equipped.
Would definitely recommend and would consider booking again if returning to the Algarve.
The ceiling light in both bedrooms didn't work.
The toilet seat in main bathroom was not attached to the toilet.
The sun loungers around the pool were in a bad state. 1 even was broken.
A lounger or 2 for the balcony would have been more useful than the stacked green plastic chairs.

No facility’s what so ever . Could have at least had shampoo and soap in bathrooms and condiments in the kitchen. Only stayed 4 nights so didn’t want to buy all that sort of thing. Some welcoming drinks like bottles of water and sachets of coffee and milk would have been nice as we didn’t arrive untill 10pm .

La piscine sur le toit est un grand plus à rajouter à cet appartement déjà excellent.
Le micro noir est la poignée de la chambre parentale qui reste dans les mains, mise ça, tout est au top.
