The space
Nederlandse traditie en modern leven komen samen in onze Volendam Old Bridge Residence. Uw stijlvol ingerichte privékamer met eigen ensuite badkamer bevindt zich in een gastenverblijf met in totaal zes privékamers. Al onze kamers zijn modern en licht en hebben een comfortabel groot tweepersoonsbed en een luxe ensuite badkamer. Elke kamer heeft koffie- en theefaciliteiten.
Het pension ligt direct naast de beroemde Volendamse haven. Als u de voordeur uitloopt, bevindt u zich midden in alles wat deze traditionele Nederlandse stad te bieden heeft. Supermarkten en andere winkels liggen op slechts een paar minuten lopen.

The neighborhood
Volendam is beroemd om de traditionele Nederlandse folklore die hier nog steeds goed zichtbaar is. Hoewel het grootste deel nu is afgestemd op het toerisme, moet u niet verbaasd zijn om de lokale bevolking in traditionele kleding voorbij te zien komen en de visserij is nog steeds een groot deel van de inkomsten voor deze gemeenschap.
U kunt van deze folklore genieten terwijl u de haven, de musea en de kerken bezoekt.
Vanuit Volendam is het maar een klein stukje naar Amsterdam en Alkmaar als u van het stadsleven wilt genieten en naar andere kleinere Nederlandse stadjes die aan het Markemeer en IJsselmeer liggen, zoals Marken, Enkhuizen en Hoorn. Of wat dacht u van een dagtocht naar een van de Nederlandse eilanden? Het is de perfecte locatie om veel van de aspecten die de Nederlandse cultuur te bieden heeft te ervaren.
Getting around
Vanaf Schiphol neemt u de trein naar Amsterdam Centraal Station. Vanaf Amsterdam Centraal Station is er een rechtstreekse bus naar Volendam die er ongeveer 30 minuten over doet en regelmatig rijdt van 's ochtends vroeg tot 's avonds laat.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Volendam, right on the coast and near many restaurants/bars. It is also a very short walk to the bus station, which can take you straight to Amsterdam Centraal. We did have a slight problem with our check in as we had been given the wrong code at first, but when we called the check-in number for help they answered immediately and were very helpful getting us the correct code. Very nice room, makes a great place to stay for exploring both Volendam and Amsterdam.

Quarto grande e amplo com uma vista bonita! Casa de banho excelente. Muito organizado e limpo. Pouco antes da hora do check in, recebemos os códigos de entrada no alojamento o que possibilitou um check in rápido e prático. Disponibiliza maquina de café com cápsulas, chaleira elétrica, chá e utensílios de higiene. Tem um bar por baixo e outro em frente com ambientes agradáveis. Na noite de sexta houve festa até às 2h. Ouve se bastante o barulho no quarto. Gostámos muito! Voltaremos! No comment

Great place, we enjoyed every moment. The only thing,there is no parking on the road but there is parkings 6-8 min from the appartement but you can enjoy the coloured house on your walk.

Nice room, comfy bed, amazing location. The coffee machine in the room was handy in the morning. Shower was spacious and did the trick. The building is traditional, so stairs are steep but that can't be helped, but to be located right by the promenade it's definitely worth it. The heating in the room took a while to warm up but once it did it was really cosy. Nice views and peaceful but we did visit at a really quiet time. The rental us right across from bars and restaurants, which for us was great and convenient but could be noisy in peak season. Outside door lock needs checking. Clearer information on parking would be really helpful, eventually figured out the blue zone system and moved the car to free parking about 5-10 minutes walk away. Arrived at night so didn't get a ticket during that time. The email alsowmimplied someone would be there for check in. We were delayed so apologised but rushed to get there. Ait was self check in so no need to rush as nobody was waiting, this could have been made clear. The listing also says hotel but it's actually a holiday rental, not a problem but again could be made clear.

Zeer mooie kamer modern ingericht incl badkamer De kroegen in de om geving maakte veel lawaai waardoor we de ramen dicht moesten doen maar helaas was er geen airco op de kamer en dat was een tegenvaller anders was het top geweest maar we waren beste tevreden.

Das Zimmer ist an sich sehr sauber und gepflegt. Nur leider liegt das Zimmer über einer Bar und gegenüber einer weiteren Bar. Die Lautstärke im Zimmer ist trotz geschlossener Fenster unerträglich. Wir sind eher abgereist. Das Bett hat vibriert und wir haben uns im zweiten Stock befinden.

La qualité du couchage, la grande chambre bien decorée, la grande salle de bain et la mise à disposition d'une cafetière et ses dosettes, d'une bouilloire et de thé et de petites bouteilles d'eau. Personnel de propreté très agréable. Le bruit de la musique et des gens qui parlent fort en fin d'après midi et jusqu'à tard dans la nuit provenant des bars juste en dessous du logement. Vraiment gênant !

La posizione è centralissima se si vuole restare a passeggiare per il porto di Volendam. C'è un parcheggio auto nei pressi gratuito. La sera dal finestrone della camera si vede un bellissimo tramonto. Il pomeriggio dell'arrivo (in piena estate) abbiamo trovato la camera molto calda e quindi poco accogliente. La prima notte abbiamo dormito con il ventilatore accesso. Bastava tenere chiuse le tende delle due finestre su cui batte il sole tutto il pomeriggio e lasciare qualche finestra aperta. Noi abbiamo avuto la camera al secondo piano (mansarda) dove si accumula il calore assorbito dall'intero edificio durante il giorno. Chiaramente sono strutture non concepite per il periodo caldo, estivo. Il servizio viene a giorni alterni per cambiare solo le asciugamani, non pulisce, non svuota i cestini.

Die zentrale Lage und der Stil der Wohnung hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Ein Bäcker ist direkt im Zentrum (2 Gehminuten). Leider war die wunderschöne, zentrale Lage gleichzeitig auch ein Wecker. Morgens gegen 7 oder 8 Uhr werden die umliegenden Lokalitäten beliefert. Außerdem ist das Haus eher hellhörig, sodass zufallende Türen schnell aufwecken.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön ordentlich und sauber. Leider wie schön öfters beschrieben ist es in dem Gaus, der Straße und generell in dem Bereich Abends sehr belebt. 1 von 5 war es etwas lauter aber es war in Ordnung.

Nice & cozy apartment room with everything you need incl. coffee & tea. It's centrally located and easy to reach. This is a typical old Dutch house with narrow stairs located in a bar street of Voldendam. No chance to escape from loud bass, music and party people even with closed windows. The party was already in full swing during the day and ended only at 2:30am. In case you're sensitive to noises this might be a challenge.
