In dieser gemütlichen, nach Südwesten ausgerichteten Villa mit privatem Pool und Garten müssen Sie nie auf Sonnenschein verzichten! Casa Gribouille bietet kleine, stilvolle Details, die diese Villa zu etwas ganz Besonderem machen.
Die Villa bietet Ihnen einen eigenen, nach Südwesten ausgerichteten Garten mit Swimmingpool und einen Essbereich im Freien. Auf der Sonnenterrasse gibt es einen Holzkohlegrill, Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme sowie einen tollen Blick auf den Atlantik und den Nationalpark Costa Vicentina. Es gibt auch eine Poolabdeckung - perfekt, wenn Sie kleine Kinder haben, für deren Sicherheit Sie sorgen wollen.
Das geräumige Hauptschlafzimmer im Obergeschoss mit eigenem Bad öffnet sich zu einem großen Balkon mit Blick auf den Garten und die umliegende Landschaft. Im traditionellen portugiesischen Stil eingerichtet sind die übrigen Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss und öffnen sich zum Außenbereich der Terrasse.
Casa Gribouille bietet mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern Platz für 6 Personen. Zwei große Zweibettzimmer im Erdgeschoss und das große, geräumige Hauptschlafzimmer im Obergeschoss. Ein Zimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Bad, eines über ein eigenes Duschbad und ein weiteres über ein eigenes Bad, das an das Hauptschlafzimmer im Obergeschoss angeschlossen ist. Es gibt auch ein zusätzliches WC.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect house for us. You would definitely need a car for the location, but the views are worth it. It could use a little more care, with a few seats being missing, tables not cleaned down, etc. when we arrived, but the house itself is absolutely gorgeous and I would definitely stay again!

Great location and great view from the garden. The pool was nice and we paid to have it heated which was well worth it. The downside is the property desperately needs maintenance. Huge cracks on the bedroom wall upstairs, one of the outdoor chairs was broken but being put back together (gave my mother in law a shock when she sat on it), outdoor table broken upstairs, huge holes in fly screen door in master bedroom, massive stain on the curtain in master bedroom … disappointing to see these. I don’t mind if the place is a little rustic but having things that are actually broken not usable doesn’t make sense to me. Ana was great to deal with; very flexible, accommodating and always responds to queries. Overall we had a great time, kids love the pool.

Check-in was straight forward. A host was there waiting and showed us around. Location is also very good, short downhill walk to the beach with a great beach bar/restaurant.

There's mould throughout: on tables, windows and shutters; multiple pieces of broken furniture; kitchen utensils were old and dirty and in one instance with insects living inside; fly screens were ripped, pool edges were stained, with tiles missing and a strong smell of drains in the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. We left as soon as we found alternative accommodation and requested a refund. This place has been severely neglected - a great shame.

A big thank you to the Rental Valley team. We loved the location and the overall size of the villa. The quality of the garden furniture however was poor and not reflective of the pictures in the marketing material, all a bit cheap when we think about what we paid. We are not the first guests to have made those observations but wanted to reserve judgement until we had stayed at Villa Gribouille ourselves. All you and the team can do is to strongly suggest to the villa owners that they spend some money on improving the furnishings otherwise future clients might be put off.

Erg genoten van ons verblijf. De villa ligt op het park Martinhal zelf. Het strand is 5 minuten lopen, ideaal. Villa heeft een verwarmd zwembad (moet je aanvragen en extra voor betalen) wat zeker een extra toevoeging was. Het zwembad was lekker warm! Groot huis, wat fijn is met een gezin met kinderen. Wel iets verouderd en mocht iets schoner. Lekkere vakantie hier gehad. Een auto is wel nodig om de omgeving te bezichtigen.

Genuinely the worst holiday rental place I've ever stayed in. The whole place is tired, dirty, and shouldn't be allowed to be rented out. Every day we had a new issue to report out. Rarely was it dealt with in any meaningful manner. The response from staff when highlihting this - particularly Alvaro after the trip - was incredibly poor. We are reporting this to both the local tourism board and Airbnb to ensure they investigate this. The offer of compensation from Rental Valley was pathetic (despite admitting it wasn't good enough), so we are having to take this up now with Amex. Please do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs!

However, for future guests, we would like to point out that this guest has really spent a full week sabotaging their own holiday, our property and our team.
We will never say that our team or our properties are flawless but we want to assure future guests that the guest's review is grossly out of proportion and context.
One example: we are reviewed 1* for a delayed check-in. The guest requested, and was granted, an early check-in but stopped replying to messages all together after that confirmation. After several hours of our host standing by near the property and attempts to contact the guest, the guest was asked to inform our host 30 minutes before arrival to make sure we could meet them timely as we could no longer stand by. The guest proceeded to call only when they already arrived at the property about 4 hours after the pre-agreed check-in time. Our host was there 20 minutes later.
We believe that the above example and the way that the guest has written this review, including a public personal attack - which is polite compared to their communication with our team throughout - gives an insight in their nature and intentions for their stay.
We hope that future guests can look past this and understand that we take pride in our work, will always assist guests to the best of our ability and that such 1* reviews are not our standard nor a fair evaluation of the property and our work.

The villa is large and beautiful, we enjoyed our stay. 10 minutes walk to the beach was easy to do with a toddler. The villa needs a bit of maintenance but is worth the money. The pool cover didn’t work which was a pity because it was advertised in the description to be safe for small children and we specifically chose this place so we can let the toddler run around safely. The check in was unclear and we had to wait for more than one hour until we got the keys. Make sure to ask for instructions beforehand.

Das Haus war grundsätzlich schön, aber merklich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Ausstattung in der Küche war in vergleichbaren Häusern der Umgebung deutlich besser. Es gibt nur wenig Besteck und die Messer sind alle sehr Stumpf. Der Pool hat zwar ein Licht eingebaut, man konnte es allerdings nirgends einschalten. Auch bei Nachfrage beim Vermieter wurde gesagt, dass jemand vorbeikommen würde um es einzuschalten, das ist nie passiert. Toilettenpapier mussten wir selbst kaufen, da es kaum noch welches gab. Genauso Mülltüten. In den Bädern gibt es gar keine Mültonnen. Die Betten sind nicht ordentlich bezogen, wodurch das Bettlaken spätestens nach der zweiten Nacht nicht mehr die Matratze bedeckte, sondern auf dem Boden lag. Der Weg zum Strand sind eher 10-15 Minuten und nicht 5.
insgesamt ist das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis in Ordnung, nochmal buchen werden wir die Unterkunft allerdings nicht.
Vergleichbare Häuser in der Umgebung bieten einen besseren Service und bessere Ausstattung / Ordnung.

The villa used to be a real beauty some years before. At present it benefits from its perfect and quite location in Marthinal area, slightly of Sagres centre, with its mediterranean trees, gardens and in close walking distance to the Marthinal beach. The villa is perfect for 6, spacious and a great place to stay in Sagres.
Its facilities are ok, and just that - ok. The house needs maintenance or a wrap up. The current status inside and outside doesn't reflect the image of a Villa. Here and there you stumble upon badly maintained parts, doors, closets, tiles, showers, faucets, covers, chairs, gates, shutters, which are there, but some of them and mostly working, but in bad condition. I think with a maintenance it can get fixed or changed - back to its real beauty.
At present it's not a villa nor you can enjoy a lifestyle you expect from the name or the pictures. It's the details which make it less enjoyable as you feel to call the Agent to get this fixed and that fixed, but thats not your job in your holiday.

Eine sonnige Oktoberwoche in Sagres in der Casa Gribouille, so haben wir uns unseren Urlaub vorgestellt. Ruhig, in einer sehr gepflegten Villengegend, Meerblick inklusive, kurzer Spaziergang zum Martinhal Beach und ebenso schnell mit dem Auto an allen anderen Stränden rund um Sagres. Ein perfekter Ort zum Erholen in den weitläufigen Räumen, mit der Familie den Tag am beheizten Pool (23 € am Tag, wenn man mag) zu verbringen oder den Abend am Grill auf der Terrasse mit Freunden. Ein Ort mit Charme, wie man ihn in nicht mehr vielen Häusern findet… Kein supermodernes Ambiente und trotz dessen mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, liebevoll eingerichtet, bequem und gemütlich.

We had an amazing stay! The beach view from the house and the back yard area was breathtaking, and the tasteful furnishings added to the relaxing atmosphere. There was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the home. The option to heat the pool was a great bonus, making it perfect for swims in the September weather.
Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and scenic getaway!

Really nice place. Super quiet area, very relaxing. Great BBQ outside. Not super easy to get to Sagres, so expect to drive, or bike (or walk about 30mn each way). Ana was very responsive. The view is nice, but the view of the sea is partly blocked by the Neighbor's giant white wall... Never needed the airconditioning - it was cool at night and warm at the top fo the day but the house has a great breeze that blows through when you open the windows. The windsurfing beach is very close, and there's a nice bar there. Having the pool heated is an extra change that isn't on the announcement on AirBNB, so the pool wasn't warm because we elected not to pay for it (but in the end, it was nice to cool off). The kitchen was really nice and stocked well enough as well. Overall, really enjoyed the stay.

we hired to place last year. many things were defect and or broken. we retunred this year, becaue we expected that some will be replaced. however, all still there, even more items defect and broken. we will not return again.

The place is amazing, large enough to spread out, gorgeous, and with a great outside deck and pool area. It’s also just down the street from the beach and town. The only flaw is as it was low 70s there and we tried to have the pool heated, but were told the heater was broken so it was too cold to use the pool outside of a few quick cold plunges.

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay here. The view of the beach was beautiful, however the waves were so strong it wasn’t swimming friendly but luckily we had the pool to swim in and enjoy. I recommend coming to Sagres with a car, unfortunately we didn’t and it was difficult to get around. There isn’t much walking distance, whatever you find walking distance belongs to the resort and they don’t really let outsiders purchase from their convenient stores. We got lucky with the resort restaurant that’s walking distance that let us dine in.

Me and my friends felt right at home at this beautiful Portuguese holiday house. It is spacious, spotless clean and also we valued our privacy there. Close by there are many beaches and restaurants, cute coffee places and lots of grocery stores. Only one mattress located in a downstairs room, was not so comfortable, otherwise everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

A casa é muito ampla e confortável. No entanto fomos no inverno, e pagamos previamente pelo aquecimento da piscina, o qual nao ocorreu. Também quando chegamos a casa estava sem agua quente nos banheiros e ficamos 24horas sem abastecimento de agua quente, mesmo estando com uma crianca e um idoso, o que foi extremamente desconfortável e incomodo. Os hosts nos devolveram o valor equivalente a menos de meia diária pelo inconveniente, porem achamos que o justo seria terem devolvido o valor de uma diária completa, ja que ficamos 24 horas sem agua.

We stayed at Casa Gribouille for a month. We had a mixed experience. The house itself is very nice and roomy and has an excellent location. Pool and garden was great to relax in. Also the outside kitchen is amazing. Our support agent Jacqui was friendly and very easy to reach, which was great.
However, we were disappointed in the quality of many of the facilities in the house. It is clear the house has not had enough maintenance in the last decade. Every choice the owners have made is clearly based on saving money and choosing the cheapest option. The bedding is fairly low quality, mattresses are old, some are yellow, pillows and blankets all synthetic and very basis. Only soft mattresses, literally everyone over 60 kgs in our company complained of back pain after a while. Some of the beds are missing slats. Kitchen is missing even very basic stuff. Not enough hot water for everyone to take a (short) shower. Appliances kept breaking down and had to be fixed, dishwasher never worked, gate broke down on day 2. When we called customer support they said we were the first people to complain about the beds. As I am writing this review I see that other guests have complained about this too, wonder why stuff like this does not get resolved and if these reviews are even read.
All in all, I would recommend if you don't mind missing some basic features to your house and can sleep on any kind of bed. It really is a in a beautiful location and the house itself (not the facilities) is a great place. Personally I think we are going to rent a different property in the future.

The villa needs updating. There were lots of tiles missing in the pool, a loose handrail in the pool. The TV was impossible to get working, an instructional sheet would be good to have.

This property is lovely perfect for a family with young children or like ourselves with grown up ones !
However there are some issues that need attention in order to make this property five star . The beds really do need replacing a comfortable nights sleep on holiday is a must , new pillows needed too. The dishwasher had no salt or rinse aid this makes using it difficult as the crockery is not clean . Some fly screens need replacing and the plug does not stop the water draining from the sink . These are little things that would really make a difference.
We would love to return to Casa Griboulle in the future.

Absolutely beautiful location. Pool and the view of the ocean are fantastic. Overall, the Villa was a wonderful place to stay. Spacious and the pool and ocean view made the Villa very special to be in. For people new to Portugal and to the Algarve region, Sagres itself is a little bit further away from a lot of the main activities, but for us, it was nice to have a quiet, peaceful place to stay and Sagres has its own beauty. For such a lovely villa, I would say that the beds were not quite as comfortable in the master bedroom, and could use some updating. But overall would highly recommend staying here.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Die Villa ist großartig. Die Einrichtung und insbesondere die Küche/Utensilien sind in die Jahre gekommen. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber/Verwalter war ausgezeichnet.
Achtung in der Hochsaison können die Einrichtungen und Restaurants vom Martinhal Resort nur sehr beschränkt genutzt werden (SPA geht gegen Bezahlung)

We enjoyed it and the team were super responsive. The pool is lovely (though very cold if you don’t opt for the heated option) and the view is beautiful. Lots of room in the house and overall good value!
However, it felt like the house was being opened for the first time in the season. It was very dusty which caused some bad allergy responses. The house is pretty dated - old and stained crockery etc - dusty drawers, and dated interiors. It ain’t luxe - but it’s comfortable and spacious, a very short walk to a gorgeous beach, restaurant and Sagres town.

Excellent property, well managed, spacious, clean and in close proximity (walking or driving) to martinhal beach. Also a very short drive to town of Sagres with restaurants and shops. We visited in mid august and paid a little extra to have the pool heated which I would highly recommend because it can be breezy and even a little cool in Sagres. We didn’t walk to the beach but it would have been a 5-10 minute quick walk. We found that even with the small lot there was parking at the beach when we wanted to go (including at 10am). The beach was very nice with calm waters (our 10,12 year olds actually wished there were more waves). The house was well appointed and the three bedrooms were a great size. The management company was great and gave us suggestions for surfing and horseback riding lessons. We felt the companies they recommended were well run, very safe and our kids loved the experiences. Overall we really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay again.

Le lieu est très joli, les plages très belles. La maison a un peu vieilli surtout le mobilier. A l’extérieur les fauteuils sont très usés, plus de coussins, les lits de piscine sont pleins de tâches d’oiseau. A l’intérieur la literie est minimale, matelas très fin, dans la cuisine les casseroles sont cassées, toute la vaisselle est dépareillée, ailleurs plein des déchets qui trainent, chaises cassées, …. Plusieurs problèmes avec l’ouverture du portail. Pour le prix j’ai déjà eu beaucoup mieux.

The villa is absolutely perfect and very clean. It has a nice little garden and a very well equipped kitchen. Nice pool (with very good heating for 150€/week). The host responded very quickly when we contacted her. We would absolutely recommend to stay in the villa.
