Great location! Beautiful view from the balcony! Very comfortable bed and linen! New shower stall! Careful opening the front door of the apartment as we ended up injuring our fingers when entering the unit. There was major construction directly above: unbelievable noise. Bathroom sink loaded with fine blond hair. Hodgepodge of furniture. Otherwise ok.

Positive: Tolle Lage, schöner Blick Negative: Es gab wohl einen Wasserschaden am Haus, Decke hatte Wasserflecken und es roch muffig und nach Schimmel. Auch lüften brachte keine Abhilfe, haben den Wohnraum so gut es ging gemieden. Konnten bei dem tollen Wetter auf den Balkon ausweichen. So ist das Appartement NICHT vermietbar!!!! Fernseher hatte keine Programme

The property is in a peaceful location within a short walk to Ferragudo, with its choice of restaurants. We went in early October and were the only people using the pool, so it felt very private. The view from the balcony is really nice - across the river to Portimao. The property is very spacious and clean. Only slight problem was finding it ! We drove around for ages and had to phone Rental Valley for directions. The apartments are not visible from the road and the access is via a brown door in an inconspicuous small building, but the instructions for getting access via the keys/code were fine once we knew where it was !

This apartment is amazing - probably the best equipped Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The view was to die for, lovely terrace, big living area, kitchen space and bedroom. Really peaceful and the pool area was great. Powerful walk-in shower, the bed was really comfortable and lots of things provided - pool towels, washing machine tablets, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, toilet roll, hand soap etc. making for a very easy start to the holiday. Kitchen has a normal sized integral fridge - fine for our 2 week stay. Easy 5 minute walk along the beach or over the top road into town - supermarkets, restaurants, bars, gelateria, atms etc. Our fave was Terracotta - fantastic food and amazing view from roof terrace tables. Great to be able to walk round the rocks below the castle at low tide to Praia Grande - in our view the cleanest beach / sea in the Algarve. Kalu is a fab beach bar (best to book for lunch). There's a Lidl on the outskirts of town. Would very definitely stay again...

Positive: Clean, bright and cool apartment. Really good location for beach, town and restaurants. Negative: The apartment complex needs more sun beds around the pool area. There are fourteen apartments but only around fifteen beds in total. Also it would be nice to have the apartment serviced with clean bedding, towels and cleaned if staying for two weeks.

The apartment was in a great location with nice views and walkable to Ferragudo restaurants. It was well appointed and clean, however, the fridge was very small so not great for a long term stay. Also, the building is built into a hill and faced west towards the river and this meant it was damp and cool in February with no sunshine into the apartment until 1:30 in the afternoon. We would strongly recommend the apartment for a short term rental in a non winter month.

Positive: Keuken was zeer compleet en servies ook Negative: Sifon douche moet beter belicht worden, stinkt na ieder wc bezoek, trekt wc water uit douche en krijg je vieze rioollucht. Wij hebben na ieder wc bezoek, water in de douche laten lopen tegen de Gore lucht. Bij zwembad waren 7 bedden waarvan er 5 ligbedden kapot waren. Je kon daar niet lekker liggen omdat ze stuk waren.

Positive: .Die Lage des Appartements ist wunderbar. Zu Fuß ist man in wenigen Minuten bei den 2 Strandcafes/Bar/Lokalen, die ich für mich zu den Schönsten und Nettesten in ganz Europa zähle. Der Hauptplatz mit vielen Lokalen befindet sich 5 Minuten am Strand entlang entfernt. Es gibt ein Taxiboot für wenige Euro, dass auf die andere Seite nach Portimao fährt. Das Appartement ist schick mit allem, eingerichtet, was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr gut zum Liegen. Die Dusche ist riesig. Es gibt 2 Balkone. 2 kleine Einkaufsläden sin praktisch um die Ecke. Negative: Mir hat alles gefallen.

Positive: The location and the apartment itself, but it was let down by some management shortcomings. (see below) Negative: A. We were in Apt 4, got in on Fri evening and retrieved keys from box, including the key for the front door. However this key did not work. After some time someone on the inside opened the door for us and explained that a code was needed. They accepted that we were guests and gave us the access code. This front door code requirement was not in the instructions received. B. The safe in the apt was closed and locked and the instructions in the folder dis not show how to open a locked safe. It needed a master key to open and reset it. I contacted the company - Rental Valley - by email on Sun 26th and called them on Tues 28th Jul. They would have to send a representative to open it. C. We decided to cook on Sunday but found that the instructions available did not correspond to the type of hob - Teka ceramic induction hob. When the cooking ring was selected the number shows for some minutes and then started flashing and the hob shut down. The instructions in the booklet were useless as they referred to a different model of hob. Eventually on Tuesday when we made contact with Rental Valley by phone it was suggested that the pan may have be put on the selected plate first before it will heat up, and this turned out to be that case. As we are gas users at home this was unknown to us and as the Instructions provided were for a different hob type they were of no use to us. The oven instructions were also not relevant to the type supplied but we dealt with that ourselves. These three matters undermined our enjoyment of the location and the otherwise good apartment. These three items should have been sorted by good management practice, and not by a guest bringing these to management's attention.

Top locatie, keurig appartement met fijn balkon en dichtbij strand.
Positive: De locatie van de accommodatie. Loopafstand strand, dorpje, winkeltjes, terrasjes, restaurants enz. Een ruim balkon waar het fijn zitten was in de namiddagzon. Uitzicht op het water was ook leuk. Het probleem van de verstopte toilet op dag 2 werd dezelfde dag opgelost, prima service. Fijne douche. WiFi was prima (ondanks eerdere reviews waarin stond dat het slecht was). Prima uitgeruste keuken (pannen, ovenschalen, magnetron, oven, enz.). Negative: Er was geen waterkoker, parkeermogelijkheden waren beperkt (1 vak voor 2 appartementen voor 2 hele kleine autootjes, in de praktijk met 1 normale auto vol). Ze zijn erg zuinig met toiletpapier (2 kleine rolletjes voor 5 dagen), vaatwasblokjes (2 voor 5 dagen) en handdoeken. Keuken- en theedoek waren helemaal niet aanwezig. Geen lift (voor ons geen probleem maar als je slecht ter been bent moet je hier rekening mee houden). Zwembad is niet verwarmd dus geen gebruik van gemaakt in Maart;-) De verplichte schoonmaakkosten in het totaalbedrag vermelden voor een beter vergelijk met andere accommodaties.

Negative: Los grandes ventanales del salón y el dormitorio, orientados a poniente, tienen una vista preciosa a la ría pero reciben una gran cantidad de sol. Las cortinas oscurecen pero no impide que se calienten mucho, obligando a usar el aire acondicionado. Instalar unas persianas o toldos exteriores sería mucho más sensato desde el punto de vista ecológico.

We would definitely stay in this apartment again , it had everything you could need. It was bright modern , clean . Shower was brilliant, kitchen fab , lounge lovely and the bedroom had the comfiest bed , and loads wardrobe space . Location was excellent and the view was amazing . Ferragudo had lovely fish restaurant we ate in twice - borda de cais on front , and V5 ex tapas . Brunch in Rio had the best pornstar martini cocktail. We had a really lovely holiday and would return .

Great Apartment
This place has no real negatives. Great views and sunsets. Good sound proofing from neighbours. Easy access to beach and town. Shared parking or road parking was not an issue. One problem I had was sorted by Rental Valley within an hour. Meet and greet at check in was on time and communicate excellent. Would book again.
