Be warned this property has unsafe stairs ,the description does not convey the restrictions ,we entered the property and within a few minutes decided that we could not stay at property. We advised agent that we had left property and could not use ,we have demanded a full refund ,agent has refused. We will now persue both Airbnb and agent for the full refund .we will also advise the local authorities of our concerns re safety

However, we did not offer a full refund as the staircase of our property is clearly and fully displayed in our advertisement. We did offer you a partial refund despite not being at fault in our opinion and that of Airbnb and despite finding your communication toward us quite rude. We had a lovely stay at Casa Pedro. The view of the sea from the small balcony was superb. The bedroom, however, was small, and, being a little elderly, we found navigating ourselves around the bed was difficult. And there was nowhere to put clothes except for a wardrobe. That said, we had a lovely time there.

Pros: Balcony is the highlight as spectacular views. Nice and airy living space. Kitchen and bathroom spaces are adequate sizes. Very thoughtful package on arrival (wine, water, milk, butter). Lots of products in the cupboards including coffee, tea, oils, seasonings etc. Every eventuality is thought of with the provisions, including health and safety provisions. Cons: Bedroom is very very small, difficulty getting in & out of the bed due to bed flat up against the wall. Only way for one partner is to scooch to the bottom of the bed which has a large wooden bed frame. Lots of bruises!! Not much room for clothes, shoes, suitcases in the fitted wardrobe which has limited access due to the bed! Ok for us as we travel light. Chest of drawers is outside the bedroom as no room in the bedroom. Intermittent drain smells coming from the toilet pan.

We enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the small balcony overlooking the near beach. In the kitchen you find everything you need. The bathroom is okay with a big shower. If you don't mind the narrow stairs up to the living-room and balcony as well as the very small bedroom, it's a perfect apartment for some days in the nice village of Burgau. Check- in is easy to manage with a key-box.

This is really a dream location in beautiful Burgau. The balcony sold it for us and it didn't disappoint for great views and watching the sun set. The cottage is small with narrow stairs and a small bedroom, but this is all manageable - it's a fisherman's cottage! Bathroom and kitchen are sufficient. Our favourite restaurant Miam is literally across the street, the beach is seconds away, and just up the street Love Burgau do fantastic cocktails. The property company was very responsive and helpful when we needed. But overall the cottage needs some minor care and attention. Walls are all marked, sofa is threadbare and worn so much it was painful to lean on, and the shower drain was partly blocked.

Truly amazing Airbnb, simply for the proximity to the ocean, balcony with stunning seaview, and location right in the heart of Burgau. We loved our time here. It is a small and cozy duplex apt and felt like we were staying in a tiny house. We will definitely be back!

J'ai passé un très bon séjour dans cette jolie maison de pêcheur. L'emplacement est idéal, sur la plage. Et la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Même en hiver, le soleil était au rendez-vous et j'ai pu manger tous les jours sur la terrasse. À mon arrivée, il y avait même de quoi prendre mon premier petit déjeuner, merci pour cette attention. À très bientôt !

Die Lage war top, deshalb war für uns der Preis akzeptabel. Wenn man überlegt, dass man für ein 4 Sterne Hotel incl. das gleiche bezahlt, war die Unterkunft allerdings zu teuer. Burgau am Strand lohnt sich immer im Gegensatz zu den vielen touristischen Orten an der Algave.

Le logement est idéalement placé, le balcon vu sur mer est idyllique. la situation géographique est pratique pour visiter les alentours. par contre, la literie est assez mauvaise pourle lit principal et pour le 3eme couchage en haut impossible de dormir au vu de l'état du matelas... très dommage... nous avons aussi constaté un problème d'évacuation d'eau dans la salle de bain .. malgré cela nous avons passé un agreale sejour dans ce petit village bucolique.

Rental Valley hadde laget et nyttig informasjonshefte og svarte alltid raskt på våre henvendelser. Dette er også en fin beliggenhet som utgangspunkt for å oppleve resten av Algarve.

Negative: -Scarsa igiene in generale -Mobilio e oggetti d'uso vetusti ed estremamente rovinati -Letto scomodissimo con materasso assolutamente da cambiare (era praticamente sfondato, dormire in campeggio sarebbe stato più comodo) -Forte odore di fogna proveniente dal bagno e che tanfa tutto l'appartamento -Non era disponibile e in dotazione uno stendino decente per stendere il bucato, men che meno delle mollette per fissare il bucato (disponibili 8 di legno marce) -Oggetti sul balcone senza senso d'uso da buttare in discarica (come altre piccole cose all'interno dell'appartamento) -Pareti da imbiancare -In generale, struttura con molto potenziale ma estremamente trasandata nei dettagli. La posizione e la vista non devono essere i soli criteti che giustificano il prezzo pagato. Chi pernotta in un appartamento con un costo di un certo tipo pretende dei servizi all'altezza di quanto è stato saldato (in anticipo). Dopo la riservazione si riceve un documento legale con tutte le disposizioni e viene presa a garanzia la carta di credito per eventuali danni durante il pernottento. Quando si arriva nell'appartamento ci si preoccupa poiché tutto è rovinato e si prega il signore di non ricevere un addebito dei rottami e dei malfunzionamenti presenti nell'appartamento. Per scrivere questa recensione ho quindi aspettato su Booking risposta che una volta lasciato l'appartamento fosse tutto ok (mi è stato confermato che da parte mia non sono stati causati dei danni) e tutto perfetto, quindi senza brutte sorprese di addebiti. Francamente ho trovato il tutto una vera e propria mancanza di rispetto per chi pernotta in questo appartamento. Ci ho trascorso quattro notti e ne sono uscita col mal di schiena e con le narici intasate di tanfo di fogna. Consiglio pertanto ai gestori (agenzia) di sistemare il tutto per i prossimi, perché è davvero un peccato andarsene così scontenti.

Para repetir 😊 Negative: El olor a alcantarilla de vez en cuando en la planta baja (el baño), aunque se va al ventilar o encender alguna vela aromática. La planta baja y la escalera son bastante estrechas. El baño podría estar mejor. Pero son sólo detalles, en general todo muy bien.

A beautiful fisherman’s cottage right by the sea. Sea view every morning with breakfast was stunning! Hearing the waves at night putting you to sleep. Beautiful beach right on your doorstep. I would stay here again. Agency were super quick to respond when we had an issue with our TV. Overall, a cute little cottage for 2 people for a peaceful stay. Lots of cliff walks to do and restaurants around after a long day walking or sunning on the beach. Thank you for everything.

10/10 location in Burgau - a fantastic beach spot, stunning views as pictured and a much less touristy area than other beaches in the Algarve. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bathroom does have a sewage smell and the bedroom is small. We had the windows open the whole time and it was fine this way. We enjoyed hearing the sound of waves as we fell asleep and were not personally concerned, though taller travellers might be. The upstairs furniture is old, but it's all workable and comfortable. To be honest, the location and views are so outstanding that the defects of the place feel quite minor. We absolutely loved having a self-catering place so close to the beach (literally seconds), enjoyed local great restaurants and loved having coffee and dinner on the Airbnb's balcony. The kitchen was good to cook in with plenty of pans, though very limited supplies (e.g. no salt when we arrived). Shower always hot and good pressure. Wifi worked well.

I booked this particular apartment primarily because the view from the balcony looked so amazing (which it is!). Overall, the apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and facilities...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer.

I really wanted to love this place. I think the location can’t be beat - Burgau is an amazing fishing village, and the apartment overlooks the beach and wonderful restaurants. The host company was also very responsive. However, this was the most expensive place we stayed in Portugal, and our least favorite. We found nicer and cheaper places in the heart of downtown Lisbon and Porto, so we were really surprised that this didn’t feel more special. From the reviews, I was expecting that it would be small and cramped, which was fine. But, there were several details lacking which made the overall stay uncomfortable- shower head half broken, no guest soap provided, no beach towels at a beachfront property, no breakfast, and dingy/old furniture and finishings. It didn’t feel like good value for the money, so sadly we wouldn’t recommend this stay.

Really loved my stay here—the terrace overlooking the ocean is unbeatable, and I really loved waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Other pros: - Perfect location—steps from the beach, great restaurants, and parking areas - Very quiet, I never heard the neighbors (maybe noisier in summer?) - Excellent hot water heater & water pressure—always had great long hot showers - Great space heaters did a wonderful job of quickly heating the apartment in the winter months - The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking—pots, pans, lids, oil/salt/pepper, a nice induction hob Cons: - Teensy bedroom, barely bigger than the bed. Fit my suitcase only by putting it in the closet. - Had some trouble arriving. The usual path was under construction, which the owners didn't know b/c they're a bigger rental agency; luckily a local helped me. Also the lock can be a bit tricky. - Occasionally an odd smell from the bathroom sink. Sometimes sulfurous, sometimes some other sour smell

Positive: Location and view were perfect. Negative: There should be some investment in new furniture in the living room and bathroom. Would be nice to have fresh towels at least once a week. We were staying there more than three weeks and there was no cleaning nor fresh towels. When asking for that service we were told that this was not part of our booking. But it still was not offered to us. That can easily be improved.

Negative: Die Infos der Vermieter, könnte man mir doch auf deutsch senden. Parken sehr schwierig, da viele Besucher nach Burgau kommen . Mit viel Glück vor dem Tag der Abreise einen Parkplatz in der Nähe bekommen.

Positive: location and view are the bullet points and, the only reason I’m not giving it a 1 to this property. the friendly Portuguese neighbours and chilla the dog 🐕 a lot of choice of restaurants at 2 minute walk Negative: -booking page of the property has an address that is different from the location you booked -area is under construction so the passage to the house, is cut off. so the address they give me to the house has no passage. I needed to walk with a lot of baggage all around to get there. -nauseating smell from the sewage in the w.c. and sink. toilet brush also dirty and stinking. - Towels were very old and tearing apart - the bed it’s like an pudim flan, when you wake up the mattress has your body imprint - EXTREMELY DIRTY. this place is not cleaned besides the basics of putting linens and fresh towels. a lot of dishes all dirty in the cabinets, found a small piece of food in the drawer of the utensils. There was a white basket rotten with hundreds of bugs inside it (whiteflies). Spider webs everywhere, and with no excuses because the ceilings are very low. the table beside the bed with the drawer destroyed and so dirty, it could make any one gag, wc with a window cleaning utensil on the shelve of the shower, completely out of place. the ceiling fan over the bed has crazy amounts of dust that must have been accumulating over years ( at the reach of an arm) - the wc door is jammed and it’s very annoying open and closing it - Wi-Fi was close to none. we had an average of 2/3 megabits per second.

Positive: + super Lage direkt am Strand + die schöne Dachterasse Negative: - das Bett bzw. die Matratze war miserabel, hatte eher etwas von einer Hängematte - starker Gestank nach Abfluss aus dem Bad - die Tür zum Bad ist durch einen Wasserschaden aufgequollen und schließt nicht mehr ordentlich bzw. nur noch sehr laut - der Duschabfluss war komplett mit Haaren etc. verstopft. Um eine weitere Überschwemmung im Bad zu verhindern musste ich den Abfluss noch vor dem ersten Duschen selbst reinigen - insgesamt ziemlich abgenutzte Möbel - der vergleichsweise hohe Preis pro Nacht ist aufgrund dessen keinesfalls gerechtfertigt

Un endroit magnifique
Positive: L'emplacement et la déco, la vue, les petits détails comme le cartable avec même les instructions de la machine à laver et l'horaire du bus. Aussi le tableau d'affiche avec les cartes d'affaires. La proximité de la plage...le son des vagues et la petite terrasse! Negative: Nous aurions aimé un confort de lit un peu mieux.

Great location, enjoyable, with some flaws.
Positive: The location in front of the beach, in the original part of the old fishing village. The views. The upper floor living, eating and balcony. Well equipped kitchen. TV cable & satellite. Good WiFi. Negative: The drainage smell from the bathroom. The very small sleeping room. Almost no space to leave your clothes and bags / suitcases. Some light construction next door, starting at 8:00.

Positive: Die Lage ca 50 m vom Strand in dem alten Fischerort ist einfach genial und nicht zu toppen. Das kleine Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so brauchen könnte - auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Negative: Es ist sehr auf britische Urlauber ausgerichtet, selbst das Fernsehen bietet noch nicht mal einen portugiesischen Nachrichtensender.

Great house with ocean view
Little house, very confortable and equipped with everything needed. The beach is just a few feet away and you have the privillege of waking up to the sound of waves. Absolutly amazing.
