The space
Indulge in the comfort and luxury of this great apartment. The space has a high quality finish, with modern equipment and accessories, including satellite TV, underfloor heating, air conditioning, electric window locking system, fully equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances, “Roca” sanitary ware.
Our apartment is situated at the Baía da Luz resort. Architecturally, the resort was designed with Arab influences, in a Roman style, being divided into 3 buildings, which form a pleasant feeling of an inner village.

➤ Please note that the rollaway bed is only suitable for a child/ teen weighing up to 55 kilos.
➤ Parties and other disturbances are not accepted.

The Italian Alloro restaurant, enjoys a view over the pool, leisure areas and a garden area. For those interested in Golf, there are 4 Golf courses nearby, in a space of 5 to 20 minutes by car.

The neighborhood
Praia da Luz is a small resort town located on the incredible Algarve coastline 10km west of Lagos. Praia da Luz or just Luz, was originally a small fishing village on the edge of sandy bay surrounded by cliffs. This sandy bay sheltered by cliffs means it’s a perfect family beach destination. Although the town is now more of a holiday resort it still retains some of the original features from its historical past. The bigger town Lagos is less than 10 minutes' drive away and in the other direction, you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches. Perfect for family, beach and watersport (surf) trips.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. You can walk into town and the beach from the apartment
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

Free cancellation up to 14 day(s) before arrival, then 100% cancellation fee.
Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. Cleaning fees will be refunded to the guest in case of cancellation within 14 days of arrival. We strongly advise taking cancellation insurance for your trip to avoid possible financial loss.

Die Fußbodenheizung funktionierte gut in Wohnzimmer und Flur, aber nicht in den Schlafzimmern. Rental Valley war aber bemüht sich schnell um eine Reparatur zu kümmern, zum TV und der nicht gesäuberten Terrasse äußerte sich auf meine Mail niemand.
Insgesamt wirkte die Wohnung weniger gepflegt als andere Unterkünfte im Baia da Luz, in denen Freunde und Familie von uns zuvor gewohnt hatten. Wir hoffen, dass diese Punkte zukünftig verbessert werden, da die Wohnung großes Potenzial hat und die Anlage selbst sehr schön ist.

Clutching at straws, the walls are quite thin and you can hear some noise from the next door apartments but really overall it was excellent.

No welcome teas, coffee etc
Mismatched bedding, towels were washed out, all a bit shabby !
We’d definitely stay at this complex again but as others have said, we would book directly with reception and stay in one of their managed apartments. We had family staying in other apartments that were booked direct and they were maintained to a high standard.

Reception being unable to store our luggage as ‘ not part of the hotel’ was very inconvenient.

No bedding or towels were replaced during the 10 days.
The Baía staff were very unaccommodating upon arrival - wouldn’t store our luggage in the luggage room as we weren’t allowed out keys for another 2 hours. No support when the television didn’t work as the apartment was privately run.

Gestione problemi buona ma con pessima sorpresa finale.
Succede che il terzo giorno di soggiorno la tessera elettronica non apre più la porta. Alla reception della struttura mi dicono che devo prima contattare i proprietari/gestori dell'appartamento. Verifico sul sito internet e chiamo RENTAL VALLEY alla sede portoghese (+351 308808214). Telefonata di 4 minuti: sorpresa finale di 19.95 euro di addebito per la telefonata (numerazione speciale....)!!!! Nel pomeriggio mi risolvono il problema: batteria serratura da cambiare...

There was a vast selection of restaurants to choose from but you must book to avoid disappointment.
The apartment was a great size for 4 adults. Kitchen had a big selection of pans, cutlery and crockery.
More towels per person if staying for 2 weeks.
Change of bed linen after 1 week and cleaning after 1 week.

Quality is not a problem in this resort , with finishings to a high standard
Very spacious ( bedroom each to combat the snoring !)
This apartment faces SE and gets the sun from sun rise till about 3.45pm in March
Very little to mention , cleaning and bed linen change looked after by ourselves but that isn’t an issue

Well appointed however, with some important details missing
We booked for 19 nights .
there was only one set of bed sheets, a very well worn cutting board in the kitchen, also a broken unusable beach umbrella on the patio which was used, we presume, to serve as a patio sun shade .
Upon arrival we had to purchase dish soap, laundry detergent, and toilet paper.
We purchased another cutting board for hygiene reasons and a shade umbrella in order to utilize the patio during the morning and afternoon hours.
There was no light at the rear part of the kitchen which rendered it unsafe during low light and evening hours.
When we reached out to Rental Valley on site reception we were informed that our concerns were not there responsibility and to contact Airbnb
These are very nice apartments and it’s unfortunate that Rental Valley do not maintain the inside of the property.
Rental Valley customer service is literally ZERO
We experienced this upon arrival in the dark with no orientation of the property whatsoever.
Conclusion. We are planning to return to Praia da Luz in 2023 .
We will be engaging another management company directly in Praia da Luz to oversee our requirements.
I would be very concerned If we owned property in the area and had to rely upon the low quality customer service that Rental Valley provide.

The bed linen and pillows are of poor quality. Only one small and one medium poor quality towels are provided per person for a week's stay. The apartment was not cleaned or the bed linen changed during the stay. Three of the four lights in the kitchen/ utility area were broken or missing. Just a bottle of water would have been welcome on arrival.

Creo que deberían supervisar el apartamento antes de ocuparlo, ya que encontramos algunas deficiencias, luces cocina de 4 fluorescente sólo funcionaba uno, terraza también luz que no funcionaba, baño de la suite el extractor hacia mucho ruido.
Tema toallas sólo había un juego por baño, creo insuficiente para una semana.
Debería haber algún producto de limpieza ya que en toda la semana no vino nadie a limpiar.

Nuestro equipo está proporcionando 1 juego de toallas (1 grande y 1 pequeño) para cada huésped durante la estancia. Nuestro servicio de limpieza incluye las toallas frescas, la ropa de cama y un alojamiento limpio a su llegada. No proporcionamos una limpieza a mitad de la estancia por nuestra parte, sin embargo se puede solicitar por un cargo extra.
Revisaremos definitivamente el problema de las luces que ha mencionado, para asegurarnos de actualizar el alojamiento.
Nos encantaría volver a recibirle para mostrarle nuestras mejoras gracias a sus comentarios.
