Family Apartment with Large Balcony in the Marina Park area.
The space
The large windows of our lovely apartment ensure plenty of daylight. The colorful decoration gives it a warm and homely vibe while the modern appliances make sure you have all the comforts you might need.
The master bedroom has a double bed (160x200) and en-suite bathroom. The equally spacious second bedroom can be used as a twin or double room to cater to your preferences (2 single beds, 90x190). The third bedroom also provides a double bed (160x200). An extra sofa bed is available to (140*190). A baby bed can be added upon request.
The balcony of 40m2 comes with dining area, a lounge area, BBQ and 2 sun loungers. This to guarantee to make the most of your stay in the sunny Algarve.
Marina Park is child friendly and has a large pool, a kids pool and bar for guest use.

The neighborhood
Our holiday home is located in Marina Park, on the hill just above the Lagos Marina. The beach is only 1,2km away. Within walking distance from Meia Praia beach and the characteristic town of Lagos. The Marina area itself has all you need including restaurants, bars with live music and a large supermarket. The Lagos Zoo is about 15 minutes driving away.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

Free cancellation up to 14 day(s) before arrival, then 100% cancellation fee.
Guest can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After this date, 100% of the total booking amount is due. Cleaning fees will be refunded to the guest in case of cancellation within 14 days of arrival. We strongly advise taking cancellation insurance for your trip to avoid possible financial loss.

The location is excellent, and it is a lovely stroll down to the town. Hill back up is steep, but taxis are approx 5 euro back up if you don't fancy it.
Beautiful pool with plenty of sunbeds and bar/ food facilities.
Would not hesitate to stay again.
Only a couple of issues could easily be resolved.
Firstly, the rules around the pool are a bit strict for holiday makers.Not balls or lilos are allowed even when the pool is quiet.
Secondly was the cleaning of the apartment
We had to clean the balcony ourselves after reaching out to no avail. And under the sofas seems to be missed. This may need to be looked at..

The air-conditioning made it very comfortable. It was very well stocked with cutlery, kitchen utensils etc. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch! Many thanks for everything. We had a lovely family holiday and we may well return to your apartment in the future!

Pasamos un momento muy desagradable, al llegar a la dirección y no disponer de personas que me facilitara el acceso al apartamento. LLamé al teléfono del anfitrión y me atendió al teléfono en Inglés y no en mi idioma. Trás mi insistencia finalmente se puso alguien que me habló en españien español, pero no me quiso decir el edificio, planta, número de la puerta y como acceder a las llaves. Solo me mandó a través de Booking, un mensaje en Ingles que mi teléfono móvil no traducía a español. Desesperados, logramos que un alma caritativa que pasaba por allí y que hablaba inglés, se puso al móvil y logró que por teléfono le facilitara todos los datos para acceder al apartamento. Si no hubiera sido así, no entramos. Así que no recomiendo a ningún español que contrate este apartamento.

The shower drain was almost completely plugged. They had drain cleaner under the sink so I used that for 2 days and it appeared to solve the issue. We didn’t use the shower because it overflowed the first day.

Pulizia perfetta, un terrazzo molto ampio e nonostante il vento della sera, è sempre riparato, il che ci ha permesso di mangiare sempre fuori. La cucina è super attrezzata.

Angenehm hell und luftig, kann auch sehr gut verdunkelt werden.
Der Pool ist quasi nur für Nichtschwimmer geeignet, Tiefe von 70cm bis 1,60m und nur an der tiefsten Stelle 2m tief.

MARINA Park is a good twenty minutes walk away from the Marina and Lagos centre. It was difficult to find the apartment and needed better signage at the Entrance.
No mirror in the bedroom and not enough plug sockets in the bedroom. The ensuite toilet didn't flush, the lid had to be taken off to do this.
10.00am check out is very early considering it's a 3.00pm check in at the earliest. I asked for 11.00am check out but it was declined therefore it was an early Sunday morning start to pack and go.
