The space
This beautifully one-bedroom apartment offers breathtaking sea views from its west-facing balcony, which also overlooks the communal pool and meticulously maintained gardens of this sought-after complex.
Situated just steps away from Praia da Angrinha and the iconic Castle of São João do Arade, the apartment is also a short stroll from the popular Praia Grande. A variety of cafés and restaurants are within easy reach, providing the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and coastal ambiance.
Inside, the apartment features a bright and airy lounge/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a stylish bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed. The modern bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower. Both the lounge and bedroom offer uninterrupted sea views, stretching towards Portimão and the Marina—an ideal backdrop for enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset.
Upon entering, the kitchen is immediately to your left, seamlessly connected to the open-plan living and dining space, which includes a sofa bed and its own air conditioning unit. To the right, you’ll find the bathroom with a shower and toilet, followed by the bedroom, which is also equipped with air conditioning. Both the bedroom and living area provide direct access to the west-facing balcony, offering a serene spot to relax while overlooking the ocean and pool.

The neighborhood
Ferragudo is a traditional fishing village, steeped in history where you can still see fishermen with their catch of the day. Within and around the cobbled streets and whitewashed cottages you will find the main plaza, Praça Rainha Dona Leonor, with many cafes and restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines. Across the river you have one of the biggest cities on the Algarve, Portimão and the beautiful beach of Praia Da Rocha. If you are looking for a little more adventure and night life, then this is where you need to be with its many bars and restaurants that are open till late.
You are around a 10-minute drive to the popular resort of Carvoeiro and some of the best Golf courses on the Algarve. Should you want to explore the Algarve or simply relax this is a great place to be based. Even though, there is public transport and a bus stop close by we do recommend you hire a car.
Getting around
From Faro airport you can get to the apartment in 50 minutes by car and 90 by public transport. The beach is within walking distance.
The best way to travel the Algarvarian coast is by boat or car. If you really want to explore the area , a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier as public transport is limited but will also get you around. In Carvoeiro you don't need any special transportation. You can easily walk through the village.

Late check in & early checkout. Felt that Rental Valley could have been more facilitating to access building (not apartment) earlier to store luggage or access pool area. This is standard in any accommodation we have ever stayed in. Hauling a suitcase around in 30° is not fun. Our flight landed at 8.30am so it was a long day. The only option they offered was a luggage facility in Portimao.

El servicio de atención al cliente en el caso de la cafetera que salía agua por todos lados y nevera que no enfriaba y teníamos que comprar hielo, todos los días para poder enfriar la comida.. Una semana con varios avisos y no repararon nada. Una pena porque podría haber sido todo perfecto

Lots of restaurants in the area.
Very well equipped and reasonably priced.
No issues with parking just outside the entrance door. Although there appeared to be parking allocated to the building/unit?
Very quiet except for a couple of times - dog a few doors down barking.
Would like to spend more time in Ferragudo on a future visit.

Es gab wohl einen Wasserschaden am Haus, Decke hatte Wasserflecken und es roch muffig und nach Schimmel. Auch lüften brachte keine Abhilfe, haben den Wohnraum so gut es ging gemieden. Konnten bei dem tollen Wetter auf den Balkon ausweichen. So ist das Appartement NICHT vermietbar!!!!

Only slight problem was finding it ! We drove around for ages and had to phone Rental Valley for directions. The apartments are not visible from the road and the access is via a brown door in an inconspicuous small building, but the instructions for getting access via the keys/code were fine once we knew where it was !

The apartment complex needs more sun beds around the pool area. There are fourteen apartments but only around fifteen beds in total.
Also it would be nice to have the apartment serviced with clean bedding, towels and cleaned if staying for two weeks.

Très bien situé pour visiter la région. Et surtout à l’entrée de la ville donc pas de bouchons. Plage accessible à pied et village de ferragudo adorable également à pied.

Shower was brilliant, kitchen fab , lounge lovely and the bedroom had the comfiest bed , and loads wardrobe space .
Location was excellent and the view was amazing .
Ferragudo had lovely fish restaurant we ate in twice - borda de cais on front , and V5 ex tapas .
Brunch in Rio had the best pornstar martini cocktail.
We had a really lovely holiday and would return .

but it was let down by some management shortcomings. (see below)
A. We were in Apt 4, got in on Fri evening and retrieved keys from box, including the key for the front door. However this key did not work. After some time someone on the inside opened the door for us and explained that a code was needed. They accepted that we were guests and gave us the access code. This front door code requirement was not in the instructions received.
B. The safe in the apt was closed and locked and the instructions in the folder dis not show how to open a locked safe. It needed a master key to open and reset it. I contacted the company - Rental Valley - by email on Sun 26th and called them on Tues 28th Jul. They would have to send a representative to open it.
C. We decided to cook on Sunday but found that the instructions available did not correspond to the type of hob - Teka ceramic induction hob. When the cooking ring was selected the number shows for some minutes and then started flashing and the hob shut down. The instructions in the booklet were useless as they referred to a different model of hob. Eventually on Tuesday when we made contact with Rental Valley by phone it was suggested that the pan may have be put on the selected plate first before it will heat up, and this turned out to be that case. As we are gas users at home this was unknown to us and as the Instructions provided were for a different hob type they were of no use to us. The oven instructions were also not relevant to the type supplied but we dealt with that ourselves.
These three matters undermined our enjoyment of the location and the otherwise good apartment. These three items should have been sorted by good management practice, and not by a guest bringing these to management's attention.

Sifon douche moet beter belicht worden, stinkt na ieder wc bezoek, trekt wc water uit douche en krijg je vieze rioollucht.
Wij hebben na ieder wc bezoek, water in de douche laten lopen tegen de Gore lucht.
Bij zwembad waren 7 bedden waarvan er 5 ligbedden kapot waren.
Je kon daar niet lekker liggen omdat ze stuk waren.

Das Appartement ist schick mit allem, eingerichtet, was man braucht. Die Betten sind sehr gut zum Liegen. Die Dusche ist riesig. Es gibt 2 Balkone.
2 kleine Einkaufsläden sin praktisch um die Ecke.
Mir hat alles gefallen.

Er was geen waterkoker, parkeermogelijkheden waren beperkt (1 vak voor 2 appartementen voor 2 hele kleine autootjes, in de praktijk met 1 normale auto vol). Ze zijn erg zuinig met toiletpapier (2 kleine rolletjes voor 5 dagen), vaatwasblokjes (2 voor 5 dagen) en handdoeken. Keuken- en theedoek waren helemaal niet aanwezig. Geen lift (voor ons geen probleem maar als je slecht ter been bent moet je hier rekening mee houden). Zwembad is niet verwarmd dus geen gebruik van gemaakt in Maart;-) De verplichte schoonmaakkosten in het totaalbedrag vermelden voor een beter vergelijk met andere accommodaties.

Los grandes ventanales del salón y el dormitorio, orientados a poniente, tienen una vista preciosa a la ría pero reciben una gran cantidad de sol. Las cortinas oscurecen pero no impide que se calienten mucho, obligando a usar el aire acondicionado. Instalar unas persianas o toldos exteriores sería mucho más sensato desde el punto de vista ecológico.

Meet and greet very fast. The rep had someone else to meet soon afterwards Property said it was central which it was but when we asked the lady who greeted us how to get to the centre she directed us by car vaguely. We worked out by ourselves it was a 5 minute walk!
We would also have liked to have watched the tv one evening which had Netflix but we had no idea how to access it
