The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. You will find everything you need here for a relaxing holiday getaway. Shops, bars and restaurants, and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. The bigger town Lagos is less than 10 minutes' drive away and in the other direction, you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches. Perfect for family, beach, and watersport (surf) trips.
Getting around
Free public parking nearby. Parking in front of the apartment is not always possible in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

Auch die Lage des Apartments ist top, Parkplätze vor der Tür, Strand und Supermärkte fußläufig. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen und wir würden uns definitiv wieder dafür entscheiden!
Einzig die Lampe im Bad müsste mal repariert werden, nach einiger Zeit hört man ein Piepsen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem Apartment. Herrlicher Ausblick, in der Wohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und der Balkon ist klasse. Auch Luz ist ein richtig schöner Ort in dem man gerne Urlaub macht. Toll auch, dass wir so kurzfristig noch einmal verlängern konnten.

La ubicación y las vistas del apartamento son espectaculares. A 5 minutos caminando de la playa, aparcamiento fácil en las inmediaciones del piso. Todo el alojamiento contaba con todos los servicios y estaba todo perfecto pero... Resulta que no funcionaba el agua caliente, que la caldera no funcionaba y si la ponías a funcionar saltaban los plomos y se iba la energía de toda la casa. Después de comentarlo a través de Whatsapp con la empresa que lo lleva, al día siguiente tuvimos que dejar que entrasen a nuestro apartamento mientras no estábamos a personal de mantenimiento (obviamente nos tuvimos que fiar de gente desconocida entrando al apartamento con todas nuestras pertenencias ahí). Cuando regresamos, sin que nadie nos dijese si habían pasado por ahí o no, comprobamos que la caldera ya no hace saltar los plomos pero el agua seguía fría. Mandamos otro mensaje y nos confirman que efectivamente la caldera tiene un problema grave y que al día siguiente pasarán a arreglarlo. Otra vez gente desconocida en el apartamento; vienen, miran de lejos y dicen que hay que cambiar la caldera entera, que vienen más tarde. Nos vamos y volvemos, otra vez sin ningún mensaje de la empresa, a comprobar que, efectivamente, cambiaron la caldera pero después de dos minutos de agua templada, que no caliente, el agua dejó de calentar; sigue saliendo fría el agua. Mensaje de nuevo. Respuesta? Que les extraña, que es nueva y que le demos tiempo. Al día siguiente, sigue fría y así hasta que nos fuimos. (Además los operarios que vinieron mancharon las sábanas de la habitación donde se encontraba la caldera). El servicio de atención al cliente fue muy atento pero está claro que les falta tener un mantenimiento más de cerca de las instalaciones (los que vinieron ni siquiera confirmaron si la caldera funcionaba o no). Una vez terminada la estancia, exigimos una compensación, ya que consideramos que es un bien básico cuando pagas un alojamiento, que las molestias e incomodidad que provoca meter a gente desconocida en casa cuando no estás son enormes, además del tener que estar durante mis vacaciones pendiente todo el rato de solucionar un problema que no debería haber estado o que debería haberse solucionado el primer día.

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in der Wohnung in Luz. Sie ist sehr geräumig, hell und gemütlich. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Besonders aufmerksam war das zur Verfügung gestellte neue Babybett, was unseren Aufenthalt mit kleinem Kind sehr angenehm gemacht hat.
Der Balkon mit dem atemberaubenden Blick aufs Meer ist jeden Morgen aufs Neue ein Highlight. Alles war perfekt und wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft für einen erholsamen Urlaub!

Logement parfait ( pour info 3eme étage sans ascenseur), vue splendide, très bien équipé, nécessaire de cuisine ( huile sel et ...liquide vaisselle, produit lave vaisselle, etc...) Serviettes de toilettes, livres en français sympas, jeux de société bref rien ne manque. Emplacement parfait, nous avons préféré le côté ouest du portugal mais on aurait pu aussi aller à l'est de Lagos ( a 10min)

we hebben het heerlijk gehad in t prachtige appartement. we waren met ons gezin, vader, moeder, zonen van 26 en 19. Het appartement is heel erg ruim, licht en gezellig. De keuken is geweldig, koken op gas, ruim voldoende pannen en potten, bestek, kookgerei etc. Heel vriendelijk dat de bruikbare spullen van eerdere gasten blijven staan! we hebben eerdere reviews gelezen, en eerder genoemde problemen zijn opgelost, werkend zonnescherm, 2 bidets, prima bedden. En een hemels uitzicht.

También tuvimos un problema serio ya que se rompió el bidé al usarlo y podría haber ocurrido una gran desgracia. Ni siquiera se dignaron en venir a verlo y mucho menos arreglarlo. Stayed for 7-nights in June and would happily recommend to others. The apartment is large and bright, and the large kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery and equipment. Its a 5-10 min easy walk down to the beach but its a bit harder on the way back up as its uphill, so please bear this in mind if you have small children or mobility issues. The apartment is also on the 2nd floor so may not be suitable for all.
Both bedrooms and bathrooms are very large with plenty of storage and the balcony running across the entire front of the property has amazing sea views. The water pressure in the bathrooms is great with plenty of hot water.
There is no aircon in the apartment however we managed ok in 30+ degree heat. We used the awning, shutters and curtains to keep the sun out at the hottest points of the day.
My one negative is that the seating on the balcony really isn't that comfortable, and if I had one strong recommendation, it would be to invest in better outdoor furniture. The balcony is such an asset and the seats just let it down a little.
Apart from that I would happily stay again and would recommend to others too.

Location was excellent to the beach, hikes, restaurants, and the view is beautiful. Customer service was very good, they were quick to replace a moldy shower mat. As for the unit it self, the kitchen was super nice, had everything we needed, it’s a very large two bedroom open air apartment and it was very clean inside the apartment.
There are many restaurants around, but we highly recommend you making dinner reservations, as we quickly found out. There are a couple of grocery stores within walking or a very short drive to Lagos for much larger ones and cheaper.
Our disappointments were that we had to hose down the balcony to enjoy it. The furniture on the balcony unfortunately is very uncomfortable. Needs to be replaced or new cushions. The awning is ripped, but they had a guy out to measure to replace, unfortunately for us it was not completed during our stay. But it still worked out. The mattresses were way to hard and need to be replaced ASAP along with the bed linen and towels. Towels were very skimpy, fresh new larger towels would have been great. Those are the biggest disappointment of our stay.
Overall If they do our recommendations I don’t think you can go wrong renting this unit for a wonderful stay in Praia da Luz.

Great location, and a beautiful and large appartment with all the facilities that you need. It has a beautiful terrace with a view at the ocean. There was a broken device outside on the terrace that made a beeping sound 24/7.

The property had everything you could need! We stayed over Christmas and enjoyed waking up to the views of the ocean every day and views of the hills out the kitchen window. There are grocery stores within walking distance and the ocean is only 10 minutes away. There is parking just behind the property, but you won't need your car in Luz itself. I recommend reading the guidelines they send carefully, as we did end up having to leave the windows open most of the time due to the dampness in the apartment. The check-in process was very simple, almost too simple, as we didn't receive any information on how to work the fireplace or that the hot water only lasts for one shower and you need to wait 30 minutes after (which meant a lot of coordination for a family of 4!). However, the property managers were very responsive to our questions and extremely helpful! Overall, we would love to stay here again during the summertime, as we miss the views already!
