The space
This bright and spacious home is designed for comfort and relaxation. A generous south-facing covered porch invites you to enjoy long outdoor meals with family and friends, complete with a BBQ, sink, and convenient storage.
From the main hallway, you can access every area of the house. To the left, the open-plan living and dining room feature large glass doors that flood the space with natural light and open directly onto the porch and swimming pool area. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove and electric oven, making it easy to prepare meals at home.
On the right side of the entrance hall, you’ll find a bathroom with a bathtub, shared by two adjacent bedrooms. At the end of the corridor, the third bedroom offers extra privacy with its own ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms are fitted with built-in wardrobes, providing ample storage and convenience throughout your stay.

The neighborhood
The home is 5 minutes (by car) from the beaches of Arrifana, Monte Clérigo and Amoreira, and also 5 minutes from local amenities such as cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and ATMs.
Vale de Telha is a small village in the middle of the Costa Vicentina nature reserve. It is very popular amongst families, nature lovers and surfers alike. A selection of restaurants & bars and a small supermarket are there for your day to day comforts. The larger and historic Aljezur is only 15 minutes away and has everything you need. The town is located right in the middle between famous surf beach Arrifana and the less well known but perhaps even prettier Monte Clerigo beach. Other beaches like Amoreira, Amado and Odeceixe are just a short drive away. Whether you want to relax, go for a surf or enjoy an amazing hike in the nature reserve, Vale de Telha is the place to be. And if you do crave city life at some point, the city of Lagos is only 35 minutes away.
Getting around
From Faro Airport it takes you about 80 minutes by car to get to Vale de Telha. If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended as public transport is only available to Aljezur town but not up to Vale da Telha. Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.
Other things to note
➤The house got freshly renovated in 2023. During this renovation the inside of the house was painted with a special mineral based organic paint. The paint has a slight smell to it, which will fade over time
➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9 pm (late arrival possible upon request).
➤ Check-out time: before 10 am
ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known for short as, SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival we shall send to you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us prior to your arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.

Der Geruch im Haus war sehr modrig, als wäre in den letzten Wochen kaum bzw. gar nicht gelüftet geworden. In all den Kästen roch es und wir konnten dort kein Gewand hineingeben.
Die Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Personal vor Ort aufgrund einer vorzeitigen Abreise gestaltete sich auch als langatmig - die Antworten kamen sehr verzögert.

No blackouts on bedrooms (you wake up at sunrise whether you want it or not) and no curtains on the LivingRoom/Kitchen. So no privacy while staying in the living room area or eating area.
Very very poor bedroom pillows. Doesn’t make sense in such a wonderful place.
No broom or mop to at least clean the place.

Entgegen unserer Erwartung aufgrund der Fotos war die Unterkunft deutlich abgewohnter (Türen schleifen, Griffe sind abgenutzt, Spiegel im Bad teilweise rostig, Badschränke deutlich abgewohnt, Wasserhahn in der Küche lose, fast alle Teller abgesplittert, Lichter draußen funktionierten teilwiese nicht, Grillutensilien/-roste stark verdreckt).
Leider hat es direkt am ersten Abend begonnen, im Hauptbadezimmer stark nach Abfluss zu riechen, sodass eine Benutzung nicht möglich war. Auf unseren Hinweis hin wurde Hilfe angekündigt, allerdings blieb es bei der Ankündigung, wir haben bis zum Ende nichts mehr gehört.
Achtung: es handelt sich um sog septische Toiletten, in die kein Klopapier eingeworfen werden darf (dies stand leider nicht in der Beschreibung und entspricht nicht dem üblichen Standard)
Achtung: nur 4 Poolliegen (falls mit 6 Personen gebucht wird) und leider auch kein Sonnenschirm

Cela pourrait donc être le paradis !
Malheureusement, la maison manquait serieusement d'entretien à nos yeux : electro non fonctionnel, toutes les plantes vertes intérieures mortes encore dans leur pot, odeur de renfermé et de canalisation, piscine sale (et non chauffée), extérieurs non entretenus. Nous avons essayé d'en aviser le responsable sans réaction ; dommage

même si le ménage est fait par une équipe à la fin,personnellement nous aimons pouvoir nettoyer quotidiennement notre lieu d'habitation et en cas de besoin/urgences.
- laisser à disposition un aspirateur pratique pour nettoyer les surplus de sable ou de poussières au quotidien, des produits ménager (pour le sol entre autre avec le vomi de bébé c'est tjr pratique ^^)
- un balai plus large pour la terrasse :)
- faire un rappel important pour les locataires de ne pas laisser traîner les mégots de cigarette dans les graviers c'est un manque de respect pour les futurs locataires et hôtes et environnement.
- revoir la pression de la douche qui est un peu faible et le réglage de l eau chaude :) ♡

We have carefully read your comments for improvement and would like to inform you that we have already taken measures to make your stay even more pleasant. From now on we have a hoover in the house so that you can clean the excess sand or dust on a daily basis. In addition, our local host Sanne, has procured a larger broom for the terrace.
Furthermore, our cleaning team has received strict instructions to make sure that there are no more cigarette butts. We provide an ashtray for the outside area, as the house is strictly a non-smoking area.
We have also checked the pressure in the shower to ensure you have the best shower experience.

Nice pool, a bit cold /we rented in June/ but still the kids had fun.
Good location , peaceful and quiet.The beach is close - 15 min with a car.
The check in host was very friendly and available for any questions .

Also, if you plan on using the AC make sure you let them know before arrival. We couldn’t use it on the first night as the remote was missing. When we asked, someone came to retrieve it for us from the locked garage.

thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry that you didn't feel like the house was the right fit. We talked to the owners again and wanted to offer some additional information about the house and the area. Humidity is a challenge in this area in Portugal and mold is a problem in a lot of houses especially so close to the ocean. It never has been a problem with this house however.
The owner of the house works in the health industry and is therefore well aware of health issues which could arise because of dampness and is therefore very proactive about it. The house never ever had a mold problem, but the owners wanted to make sure it stays like this as we said it is a big topic in the area. In the beginning of this year they therefore invested quite a lot of money to do renovations which deal with the humidity in this area of Portugal. The house has a special colour outside, the roof got newly impregnated and they got a horizontal barrier in case any dampness arises from the ground. The most important part for you is that they also bought an organic sustainable anti-mold paint from Germany ( https://landing.bkm-mannesmann.de), which the inside is painted with.
This colour has two features which are important for you to know: The colour is organic and therefore there is a special smell to it which will only fade over time. Also the paint is breathable and therefore lets humidity out of the wall when the humidity in the air gets less. This is wanted and makes sure the walls have the perfect dryness.

As camas podiam ter lençóis porque têm somente cobertor. De resto, nada a apontar!

A casa tem muito cheiro a humidade e não é aconselhável a quem tem alergia a ácaros. As toalhas não estavam bem lavadas e os lençóis e roupa de cama estavam húmidos.
