This comfortable 3 bedroom apartment is all you need for a great family holiday or a beach getaway with your friends. The great sea view and south facing terrace, spacious bright living room and renovated fitted kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite) located in a beautiful condominium with landscaped gardens and only a short walk to Luz village centre and the beach.

The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. Shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. Set amidst spectacular coastal scenery you can take your time to explore the stunning cliffs, undiscovered beaches, neighbouring quaint villages and the national park. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the regional capital, Lagos, if you want a bit more action.
The complex is a short walk from the supermarkt, bars, restaurants and other shops and only a 10 minute walk to the beautiful, child-friendly beach. Great for surfing and other watersports activities like diving, snorkeling and sailing. And near one of the many hiking trails down the cliffs.
Praia da Luz is located next to Lagos: the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Luz in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos and Luz, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
You can park for free in Luz. Parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

I believe all of these issues, when resolved will make this a lovely apartment to rent and worth the rental fees, but not at this point.

The apartment is in a good location and is within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants that the village has to offer. Recommend a car for any heavy supermarket shops as the walk up the hill to the accommodation can be tough in the heat when carrying water etc.
Overall a fantastic place and would recommend the accommodation for a family break and/or group of friends for a stay in Luz.

There was a smell in the washroom, more basic amenities such as coffee, sugar, washing detergent etc. Ceamic dishes not plastic to use in the microwave.

Néanmoins informations non mises à jour : pas de piscine/jacuzzi comme annoncé dans le dépliant du Airbnb envoyé par e-mail. Quelques taches au sol dans la cuisine mal nettoyée. Odeur nauséabonde des égouts qui remontent / problème de canalisation.
Deux sèche-cheveux comme à l’hôtel mais ne fonctionnent pas.

Le cadre extérieur est magnifique ; une très belle vue depuis le balcon, surtout au lever du jour.
Les abords sont paisibles et très propres.

Das Haus liegt in einer sehr gepflegten Gartenanlage, abseits der Hauptstraße. Der schöne Strand ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist sauber und bietet alles für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt.
Etwas gestört hat uns, dass in keinem der 3 Schlafzimmer ein Doppelbett zu finden ist. Das Schlafzimmer mit dem eigenem Bad hatte leider ein Geruchsproblem. Es roch aus dem Kleiderschrank nach Abfluss.

Die Küche ist groß und es waren sogar Gewürze sowie Essig und Öl vorhanden.
Alles was du zum Leben auch zuhause hast, war vorhanden.
Super Lage, kurze Wege und eine sehr ruhige Umgebung. Das lag natürlich auch an der Vorsaison. Die meisten Wohnungen um uns herum waren nicht bewohnt.
Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass die Adresse Jua José Ribeiro Lopez lautet, die Zufahrt zur Appartmentanlage zweigt von dieser Straße vom. Meer kommend links ab, dann das zweite Gebäude links. Die Adresse wurde bzw. wird hier teilweise unzutreffend abgegeben bzw. eingezeichnet.

All 3 bedrooms are facing the North side, no direct syn during the day, so in winter they might be a bit fresh. However each room is equipped with air conditioning, in case you are Ok to use it to warm you up.
location is very calm. no cars, no people. And at same time very close to the center of Luz, supermarkets and beach are about 10 min walk.

It was a very nice appartement with a nice view, unfortunately there were some cockroaches in the appartement but the host tried to take care of it.

Unfortunately, it is correct that the actual location and the official address do not match. The actual location is a few streets away in a dependance area of Luz Ocean Club. But as this is the official address, we cannot change it on booking.com. We have, however, always given the correct pin location on this platform, so it should have been visible to you before booking.

Until the money was transferred we were unaware that the pool at the apartment was empty and we had use of another pool at a hotel, some way away, this was very disappointing. We were on the top floor and with a buggy this was difficult as there was nonlift access. The family bathrooms shower door didn't open properly, it was put on incorrectly, therefore we all used the ensuite shower room, not ideal! The shower in the ensuite was slow to drain, causing a smell of damp/sewer. The air conditioning spat out ice and dripped on the floors, towels were put down to stop our toddler grandson from slipping.

Thank you for your review and apologies for our late reply to this. All the items mentioned have been taken care off and we would have gladly assisted as well if we were informed about it during your stay.
With regard to the staircase: an elevator is not mentioned in the advertisement, nor do we advertise it as child-friendly as we are aware of the stairs that have to be climbed.

L'adresse indiqué sur le contrat amène dans une autre résidence Luz océan club et donc trompeuse.
Contrairement au contrat d'engagement la piscine était fermée ainsi que le pool house et tous les services de la résidence, les commerces et restaurants sont éloignés et pour aller à la plage il faut prendre la voiture.
Prix beaucoup trop élevé pour un séjour début juin sans aucune prestation

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you were not fully happy with your stay. We are aware that the official address and actual location are a few streets away but unfortunately we cannot change that as we can only use the official address on the booking platform. We have however always had the pin-location of the advertisement on the correct street and both this location as the pool location are clearly described in our guest guide, which is sent to all our guests.
We will see if we can somehow make it even more clear!
