The space
Indulge in the comfort and luxury of this great apartment. The space has a high-quality finish, with modern equipment and accessories, including satellite TV, underfloor heating, air conditioning, electric window locking system, fully equipped kitchen with Siemens appliances, “Roca” sanitary ware.
Our apartment is situated at the Baía da Luz resort. Architecturally, the resort was designed with Arab influences, in a Roman style, is divided into 3 buildings, which form a pleasant feeling of an inner village.
Guest access
The apartment is great for pensioners, couples and families with a max. of 4 adults & 2 children. We cannot host friend groups. If you are not sure if you fit this profile, please message us before booking the property.

The Italian Alloro restaurant enjoys a view over the pool, leisure areas and a garden area. For those interested in Golf, there are 4 Golf courses nearby, in a space of 5 to 20 minutes by car.
➤ We usually welcome families with children or responsible adults because the apartment is part of a quiet condominium with lots of residential owners.
➤ Parties and other disturbances are not accepted.

The neighborhood
Praia da Luz is a small resort town located on the incredible Algarve coastline 10km west of Lagos. Praia da Luz or just Luz was originally a small fishing village on the edge of sandy bay surrounded by cliffs. This sandy bay sheltered by cliffs means it’s a perfect family beach destination. Although the town is now more of a holiday resort it still retains some of the original features from its historical past. The bigger town Lagos is less than 10 minute drive away and in the other direction, you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches. Perfect for family, beach and watersport (surf) trips.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. You can walk into town and the beach from the apartment
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

De verlichting in huis is erg wit licht. Wij houden meer van warmer licht.
Parkeerplaatsen altijd voldoende beschikbaar in de herfst en winter.
Mooi om vanaf het balkon net de oceaan te kunnen zien en de top van de berg waar je zo mooi kunt wandelen richting Lagos.

On the negative side, the cleaning standards were not great. There was quite a bit of sand and dust and a lot of sand in the balcony when we checked in.

The apartment and Baia da luz complex is a wonderful place for a family of 4 to explore Luz, Lagos and beyond. There are lovely views of the cliffs and even the sea from the balcony.
Pristine beaches and pool area are brilliant for kids and the apartment was cool and mostly quiet as a place to relax out of the sun (you can hear the upstairs flat if there are people staying there, but this wasn't too much of a problem for us)
Rental valley were very helpful and resolved and issue that we had within a couple of hours of us contacting them.
The only negative for us was that the mattresses were really poor. They need replacing!

die Küche ist mit allen erdenkbaren Geräten unglaublich gut ausgerüstet, alle Räume sind großzügig, geschmackvoll und sorgfältig gestaltet. Der Wasserdruck ist sensationell, Duschen und Baden macht wirklich Freude.
Auch im Winter ist jeder Raum sehr gut heizbar was in Luz nicht selbstverständlich ist.
Ein Aufzug ist vorhanden, das Appartment ist gut gesichert.
Die Entfernung zum Strand ist gering. Restaurants und der Supermarkt sehr gut erreichbar.
Der support service war extrem schnell, höflich und effizient und hat bei allen Fragen geholfen.
Allerdings ist das Appartment nicht "individuell" ....es handelt sich um eine große Anlage, dafür eben modern und komfortabel.
Der einzige Schwachpunkt - und das ist sicher subjektiv - ich fand die Betten viel zu weich.
in dem master Schlafzimmer ging es einigermaßen in dem zweiten Zimmer waren die Matratzen so weich, dass ich dort nicht schlafen konnte.

De locatie ligt in een zeer prettig resort/hotel. Goed bereikbaar per auto en alles erg mooi verzorgd. Lopend naar strand en de promenade en verschillende goede restaurants. In november is de temperatuur heerlijk en het dorp aangenaam rustig.

The apartment was beautifully appointed and the outside patio area very spacious.
The pool and bar area were very relaxing and drinks and snacks very reasonable.

There were a couple of things that stop this apartment getting 100% rating. One was that we stayed here for 9 nights and there was no change of bedlinen provided. I see from previous reviews that this has been brought up before. Whatever about no cleaning being provided having to wash the bedlinen during our hols was disappointing. Surely it would be possible for a change of bedlinen to be provided for the occupants that they can change themselves without incurring any extra cost to occupant or owner. It really wasn't good enough, it was the first time I ever had to wash bedlinen on my holidays!!!
Secondly, a sky box is listed as being a service provided but it did not work and several reviews prior to us also brought this up...either get it fixed or don't advertise it. The toaster also needs to be replaced as it kept tripping the electric when being used from any socket.
Simple things that end up being frustrating and taking away from what could have been a perfect experience.

Minor maintenance issues wasted quite a lot of time. TV not working at all when we arrived. Resort Digital TV fixed by two days later, but sky box never worked. (Box and dish OK but maintenance reported the problem was caused by card not working). One bedside lamp not working due to plug broken in socket, so we couldn't change the lamps over. Several light bulbs not working. but this was only minor.
