The space
This modern and stylish 2 bedroom apartment located just outside the city centre of Lagos in the marina area is the perfect place for a citytrip to the Algarve. It is recently refurbished to a luxurious and comfortable place to rewind and relax and includes two height-adjustable desks at different locations in the apartment. The big balcony offers plenty of space with a sereen view on the natural lake at the back of the building. The perfect spot to enjoy the last bit of sun of the day.
The apartment has recently been completely restyled and is located on the second floor. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. From there you can enter a big living room with lounge and dining area and desk. The 2 bedrooms offer a double bed and 2 singles. There are two bathrooms: one with bath and toilet and one with shower and toilet.
The apartment is perfect for small families, two couples or two friends. Friend groups are not always allowed and have to contact us first before making a reservation. Because of the two professional and height-adjustable desks with chairs, this apartment is perfect for those who want to work away from home during their holiday! One desk is located in the living room, the other in the twin bedroom.

The neighborhood
The Marina area is about 10 minutes away and has all you need including restaurants, bars with live music and a large supermarket.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

The apartment needs black out curtains which cover all the window in both bedrooms as the bedrooms face east the are light and bright from early morning. Blackout curtains would enable guests to slerp fir longer whilst on their holiday. The curtains in the second bedroom are too small from the window.

Die Betten sind ausgezeichnet. Die Wohnung ist sauber. 15 min. zu Fuß und man steht inmitten der wunderschönen Altstadt. Die Anzeige hat nicht zu viel versprochen, alles so wie beschrieben...Gerne wieder!

El parking gratuito del que en el anuncio da lugar a confusión, dando a entender que dispone de parking cuando en realidad no es así, se refiere al aparcamiento disponible en la vía pública que, siendo honestos, se aparca sin problema por la zona.

We had a bit of difficulty to find the property and the apartment keys, probably because we didn’t know the area and we are not used to the key box system. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

En el baño principal hay un tope de puerta que está justo por donde se pasa y hemos estado a punto de caernos varias veces.
Le falta poder ir a la piscina, que creo pertenece a la urbanización porque habían vecinos que iban a ella, pero la agencia nos dijo que a ese apartamento no le correspondía.

The lighting was a problem for us as we like to read. There were no lamps on the end tables beside the couch and chairs in the livingroom so we had to move a desk lamp from the bedroom to the livingroom in order to read at night. The bedside lamps only offered dim lighting so we could not read in bed. There were a couple of burnt out light bulbs in the wall sconces which didn't help matters.
There was only one dish towel and no dish cloth in the kitchen. Also, I don't know if this is common in Europe but there were no face cloths provided with the bath towels.
On the whole the kitchen was well stocked. We would have appreciated a fly swatter and some lids for the pots. We were there for a month and had to go out to buy cleaning supplies as none were supplied with in the unit. As a result, we winded up leaving them behind for the next group. These are small issues that can be easily resolved and definitely did not have a significant impact on our stay. We will definitely try to book the same unit again when we return to Lagos. Thank you to the owner and property management company. You were amazing!

El anfitrión podría al menos llamar el día de llegada para cerciorarse de que n las explicaciones pasadas n por mail para recoger las llaves y entrar al apto estaban perfectamente entendidas por el cliente. Ellos n pasan un mail en inglés y dan por entendido que hablas este idioma. El contacto personal es muy importante!!
