This traditional cottage is located close to the beach in Albufeira old town. The owners have transformed it into the perfect holiday getaway for a small family or a couple. It's the perfect mix of traditional charm and modern comfort, located in a quiet back street and has two terraces with ocean view. With the beach just minutes away, what else can you wish for?
The space
There is a bedroom with one bed and a bathroom, a kitchen and a bathroom that will fit perfectly for four people but also for a small family or a couple. It is located in a quiet place on a dead end road in the heart of the old town of Albufeira. Close by there are many stores, restaurants and bars and the beach is just a stone's throw away.

The house consists of 3 floors with the kitchen and living/dining area (with sofa) downstairs, bedroom and bathroom on the second floor and a small mobile kitchen on the second floor. On the second floor you will also find the first terrace overlooking the sea with barbecue and dining table and the stairs to the roof terrace with sun loungers and another wonderful beach/ocean view.
The house is perfect for a small family or a couple and fits up to 4 people. As it is located on a residential street, parties or any kind of nuisance are not allowed and will not be tolerated.
It is important that you know that the spiral staircase in the house is quite steep, making it unsuitable for very young children or people with mobility problems.

The neighborhood
The cottage is located smack in the middle of old town Albufeira, very close to the beach and just around the corner from lots of restaurants, shops, and bars, and therefore a popular tourist destination. As the cottage is located at the end of a dead end residential street, you are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, but still in a quiet and calm place.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or taxi/uber to travel around town. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. Parking in old town Albufeira is challenging, therefore we recommend you to use one of the parking areas on the outskirts of the city and walk or take a taxi from there.

The property itself was spotless upon entry, with an easy access key code lockbox coming and going from the property was as easy as at home.
The roof terrace was a great place to relax in the sun with a drink and the included radio, with a great view of the beach, main square, and sea all from the upper section.
This property played a key part in a great holiday, and I already cannot wait to return to Albufeira and this lovely home. Thank you so much for a great trip!

The rainy weather before and during your stay unfortunately contributed to some of the challenges you encountered, particularly the discomfort from the humidity and the ants. When weather conditions are very wet, insects like ants sometimes move indoors in search of shelter, and despite our regular cleaning protocols, this can occasionally happen. We regret that we were unable to resolve these issues during your stay, and we truly understand how unpleasant that must have been. Please also note that we had one of the worst winters in the Algarve in many years and this amount of rain and humidity was even for our winter months standards too high.
Regarding the Wi-Fi, we do apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We attempted to address it, but it’s clear we weren’t able to fully meet your expectations. We hoped that the 25% compensation offered would help to ease some of the discomfort you experienced, but we do understand that if the overall booking price was relatively low, this might not have felt sufficient. We were in exchange with Airbnb and our Management an evaluated this fair compensation together.
We deeply regret that your experience was not as enjoyable as it should have been, and we thank you again for your comments.

This property needs work - in many different ways. First, it could definitely be cleaner. The furnishings, especially in the rooftop terrace need an update, they were very dilapidated. The cloth cushions were worn and stained, the blue plastic cushions were water logged and we could not use them during our seven day stay. The spiral staircase is loose - feels a bit dangerous to be honest. The bathroom door has expanded and wouldn't close fully - only half way. The fan above the stove did not work. There's more but I am sure you get the idea. I get that this property is not a luxury stay and I knew that going in but would expect things to be in good working order and clean. Giving a negative review of this property breaks my heart because it has so much potential.

Another thing I would suggest is to bring some towels. They only provide 2 kitchen and 2 bath for our entire month stay.
Overall the place is worth the money. You’ll be comfortable and you can’t find a better location especially for the price. Thank you for having us

The accommodation is in a perfect spot where we felt safe. It is walking distance to the main strip, the beach and the marina. There was lots to do and we wish we were able to stay longer. The nightlife was also amazing and walking home even alone at night felt safe as there are many other tourists. I would highly recommend this place and don't miss out on the incredible views it comes with!

was unable to use the outside area for a couple of days due to next door’s chimney depositing a thick layer of soot all over . The toaster was tripping the electric so we didn’t use it .

Be warned Albufeira is very hilly so there are slopes / steps to get to the property, plus steep steps inside, but aside from this very accessible.
The BBQ, cooking facilities and house made for a perfect base for a weekend in Albufeira.

There were several stains on the sheets of both beds and on at least one of the pillows.
They gave us 2 extra toilet paper rolls for 6 days... for two people
They have a washer in the unit but don't include detergent?? When asked about it they said and I quote
“About the washer detergent, I understand but if there is none left this is due to that the previous guest didn't buy new one. This is unfortunately not part of the package we offer at arrival.”
So they provide a washing machine but you could only wash your clothes under the condition that you buy detergent yourself or if the previous guest is nice enough to leave one for you??? Doesn't sound like 300+dollars a night service to me.
Rooftop had dust and debris everywhere, along with a broken umbrella.
This place is not well-maintained nor is it hospitable.
Its trash.. plain and simple.
Hosts are inconsiderate and unreliable.
Would not recommend.

Rooftop: The condition you found on the rooftop is not up to our usual standards. We arranged for a thorough cleaning.

Wonderful view of the beach from the sun terrace,
Really well equiped and designed for a short and longer term stay.. The personal touches that the owners have in place make this feell very homely.
Loved the architectural style and bring alongside long term albuferian residents. They are very tolerant of tourists who we observed to forget that they are near to peoples homes.
Of all the properties stayed in over a five week trip this was the best one by far.. Really spacious property for what is a small property on some levels
Accommodation would' be more of a challenge for people with mobility difficulties with the three spiral staircases

Lo peor es el acceso al apartamento porque es una calle peatonal en la que no se puede acceder con el coche, con lo cual hay que dejar el coche en doble fila descargar y luego irte a buscar aparcamiento que es bastante complicado encontrar en esa zona. Hay que pensarse muy bien en mover el coche porque luego es una locura poder volver a encontrar aparcamiento. En cuanto a los servicios del apartamento esta bastante bien, eso si, si llevas una maleta muy grande lo vas a tener bastante complicado para subirla porque la habitación esta arriba y por las escaleras de caracol el acceso no es muy bueno, y las escaleras son bastante estrechas. Y en relación a la terraza de arriba que tiene en la azotea con mesa y sillas le faltaría poner una sombrilla o un techado de madera o toldo porque es imposible estar ahí durante el día del calor que hace. También destacar como negativo los ruidos sobre todo por la mañana temprano por los gatos maullando, perros ladrando, y algunos vecinos hablando.
