The space
Dutch tradition and modern living come together in our Volendam Old Bridge Residence. Your stylishly decorated private room with private ensuite bathroom is located in a guesthouse with six private rooms in total. All our rooms are modern and light and have a comfortable large double bed and a luxury ensuite bathroom. Each room has coffee and tea facilities.
The guesthouse is located right next to the famous Volendam harbour. Just walk out of the front door and you will be in the middle of everything this traditional Dutch town has to offer. Supermarkets and other shops are just a few minutes walk away.
➤ Please note that this apartment is located above a bar in a lively street. Where it is possible to sit inside and outside. This can be a bit noisy at times.

The neighborhood
Volendam is famous for the traditional Dutch folklore that is still very visible here. Although majority of it is now catered towards tourism, you should not be surprised to see locals pass by in traditional dress and fishing is still a big part of the income for this community.
You will be able to enjoy this folklore while visiting the harbour, the museums and churches.
From Volendam it is only a short way to Amsterdam and Alkmaar if you want to enjoy some city life and to other smaller Dutch towns that are located on the Markemeer and Ijsselmeer lakes such as Marken, Enkhuizen and Hoorn. Or how about a day trip to one of the Dutch islands? It is the perfect location to experience many of the aspects that Dutch culture has to offer.
Getting around
From Schiphol, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct bus to Volendam that take about 30 minutes and goes regularly from early morning to late evening.

Het is voor mij onpersoonlijk geweest, geen mens van de accommodatie gezien. Alles via een pincode.
De ruimte was klein maar keurig. Als lawaai geen probleem is kunnen de ramen openblijven. Wel zelf vastklemmen anders kunnen ze heen en weer bewegen, er is geen haakje o.i.d. Met gesloten ramen was het voor mij erg benauwd binnen.
Enfin, ik heb een verkeerde keuze gemaakt en heb op prijs geselecteerd. De prijs was dus prima maar voor mij was het de eerste en tevens laatste keer.
Het blijft echter persoonlijk en de verhuurder valt in principe niets te verwijten. Voor weinig geld wordt ook niet veel geboden.

Die Adresse stimmte nicht bzw. die Hausnummer und der gesendete Code war auch nicht richtig. Das konnten wir dann telefonisch lösen . Parkplatzprobleme es gab kein Parkplatz für 9 Euro. Eine Nacht im Parkhaus kostete 30 Euro.

Onze hotelkamer zat boven een cafe waar een house feestje gehouden werd tot 2.00u s nachts. Als we dat geweten hadden waren we niet gegaan. Mijn dochter had een turnwedstrijd en moest fit zijn. Om 2 u lagen we nog wakker en werden bijna ons bed uit gedreunt. Echt waardeloos. Ik zou het niemand aan bevelen. Zou ook netjes zijn als dat er van te voren bij vermeld word. Stond wel wat overlast van buiten. Maar niet dat je in een houseparty ligt met je bed. Ik zou graag een tegemoetkoming krijgen voor de overlast.

De Zeer chemische parfum geur op de kamer. Het koffie apparaat werkte enkel even de 2de dag. De kamer ligt net boven een discoteek, dus ik heb geen oog dicht gedaan. Ik sliep er omdat ik een 5 daagse spirituele workshop volgde in de buurt. Dus vandaar voor mij niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Unter dem Zimmer sind 2 Kneipen. Mit etwas Pech haben die lange in die Nacht laute Musik und auf der Straße laute Unterhaltung von Rauchern, vornehmlich Jugendliche. Mais part contre cela ne vaut pas le coup de payé aussi chère la nuit pour passer une nuit horrible , nous avons tenté malgré les commentaires qui expliquer le bruit mais que cela été supportable mais non pas du tout la ce n’est plus du bruit c’était atroce. Aucun respect pour les gens quand il y a écrit que le pub ferme à 2h et qu’il continue de mettre de la musique jusqu’à 3h30 du matin cela s’appelle de l’irrespect, les gens dehors qui crient devant le pub..
Si vous voulez vous reposer après fais une grosse journée de marche ou autres sur Amsterdam ce n’est vraiment pas le rbnb à choisir, nous regrettons notre choix malheureusement nous n’y reviendrons pas à cause de ça.
Mais cela été vraiment très propre et très jolie a l’intérieur. ☺️

Zijn na er uur alweer vertrokken naar een ander hotel.
Reden hiervoor slecht toegankelijk via stijle trap.
Kamers lagen recht boven een disco. Toen deze om 17.00 uur los ging. Was het overduidelijk dat dit niet goed ging komen om daar fatsoenlijk te kunnen slapen.
Advies is om dit te vermelden op de booking sites.

Es gibt 2 Punkte die ich bemäkeln muss.
Einmal hat der Flur stark nach Zigarettenqualm gerochen, was echt unangenehm war vor allem da man das Gefühl am ersten Abend hatte das der Geruch leicht ins Zimmer gezogen ist.
Zweitens hat das Passwort für das WLAN nicht funktioniert, als ich dem zugeordneten Manager geschrieben habe kam keine Antwort, selbst nach der 2. Nachricht nicht.
Ich würde dennoch für einen kurzen Aufenthalt wieder kommen.

The stairs were really steep but probably had to be built that way. We were on the first level so only had to navigate one flight. Being agile,they were safe enough but could be challenging for anyone who has even minor physical challenges we still loved it.

Het is fijn om te lezen dat u de indeling van de accommodatie prettig vond.
Het spijt me te horen over uw ervaring, en ik begrijp uw bezorgdheid over het lawaai van de restaurants en bars op een lager niveau.
In de advertentie werd expliciet vermeld dat de accommodatie zich boven de restaurants en bars bevindt. Hoewel dit voor een levendige sfeer kan zorgen voor gasten die van de drukte houden, kan het ook leiden tot meer lawaai, vooral in het weekend en tijdens drukke avonden.
Om dergelijke ongemakken te minimaliseren, kun je overwegen om een kamer op een hogere verdieping aan te vragen of te kijken naar accommodaties in een rustiger deel van het gebied als dat meer overeenkomt met je voorkeuren.
Je feedback is waardevol, want het benadrukt de noodzaak van duidelijke communicatie tussen huiseigenaren en potentiële gasten.

Dat je de deur niet opslot kon zetten snachts en als je weg gaat en je weet het niet de deur open blijf staan dat je het cijfer slot dan even moet aanraken zou misschien handig zijn als daar een uitleg over zou zijn.

Op zaterdagavond was het er enorm rumoerig vanwege de geluidsoverlast van de beide kroegen onder en tegenover het hotel tot ca. 2 uur 's-nachts. De overige nachten en dagen waren lekker kalm en rustig en was het goed toeven in het Hotel.
Een volgende keer boek ik zéker niet op een zaterdag.

De ligging is enerzijds top, midden in het centrum. Echter verbleven wij hier vrijdag op zaterdag. Tegenover onze kamer (onze kamer zat aan de straatkant) was een uitgaansgelegenheid. Dit maakte heel veel geluid tot 02.00uur waardoor slapen heel lastig was. Dit was voor ons echt dik minpunt!

Bei Ankunft um 15 Uhr war unser Zimmer noch nicht gereinigt und erst auf Nachfragen kam jemand. Das WLAN funktionierte nicht und das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht ab. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig und es ist keine Rezeption bzw. kein Personal vor Ort.

Ik raad aan om bij het boeken te checken of er plek is op de 2e verdieping. Wij wisten tijdens het boeken dat het hotel boven een uitgaansgelegenheid zat en dat deze om 02:00 sloot op zaterdag. Echter hadden wij niet verwacht dat de muziek zo intens hard was. Wij zaten ook aan de voorkant en op de eerste verdieping. Wij konden echter wel lekker tot 02:00 dansen aan de overkant, dus opzich was dit voor ons geen probleem!
Wat wel vervelend was, was dat bij terugkomst om 02:00 het brandalarm afging. Bij binnenkomst hadden wij al gezien dat er rook hing in het pand, alleen rook het al naar rookmachine. De kroeg beneden had een rookmachine aangehad en deze rook steeg naar boven. Uiteindelijk moest de brandweer komen om 02:00 snachts en aangezien er geen receptie was, was er in het begin niemand van het hotel. Uiteindelijk deze persoon wel kunnen bellen en hij kwam meteen. Het was redelijk goed opgelost, wij hadden ook de rookmelder van de muur getrokken en hoefde dit niet te vergoeden. Alleen was het natuurlijk een fijner verblijf geweest zonder alarm en brandweer.

Het parkeren in de buurt. De lokatie die ik door kreeg was 30 euro per dag! We hebben zelf naar een goedkopere plek gezocht. Hoeft toch niet echt ver te lopen. En dat er geen stoel was om te zitten, we moesten op bed zitten om te eten.

Les escaliers pour accéder à la chambre sont raides donc difficile pour les PMR. Le seul GROS point négatif est que la chambre est au dessus d’un pub et qu’il y a eu la fête très alcoolisée jusque 2h du mat, impossible de fermer l’œil.
J’avais vu certains commentaires le précisant mais je me suis dit on ne fait pas la fête un lundi soir… sachant que les pub devaient être fermés normalement. Donc vigilance l’endroit est canon mais il faut apporter boule quies etc… Le village est vraiment typique et mignon il y a tout type de resto steackhouse, poisson, pizza.. c’est une ville très calme la journée. Pour se rendre à Amsterdam, il faut compter 20 min en bus avec 316 ou prendre la voiture est se garer au P+ R noord 1€ la journée et ensuite metro.

Er is geen receptie en de parkeermogelijkheid. Maar dat weet je eigenlijk al van te voren. parkeergarage op 7 min wandelen en zelf inchecken met een code gaat erg makkelijk.

L'arrivée est vraiment simple et très agréable car complètement autonome grâce aux codes d'entrée.
Tout était d'une propreté impeccable, jolie salle de bain, bonne literie.
Par contre, le bruit du bar du dessous et d'en face ne sont vraiment pas à négliger.
Nous étions juste au-dessus (1er étage, chambre 2), les basses des sono faisaient tout trembler, impossible de dormir avant 2h du matin.
Si vous souhaitez vous reposer, ce n'est vraiment pas le bon endroit, si vous souhaitez faire la fête c'est parfait...

I arrived on saturday and stayed durind 3 nights. The big problem was the noise coming from two pubs one dowstairs and the other just in front during saturday and sunday nights. Unfortunately earplugs are not efficient for this level of noise, so be prepared for a bad night or join the party. On the day of my departure I forgot one of my eyeglasses and 2 or 3 days later I tried to contact the Boutique Hotel and they gave me phone number which nobody answered, its a pit.

Unfortunately this hotel room is right above super noisy bars and clubs which I didn't know when I booked it, so we couldn't sleep at all. When we were there on a saturday night, there were several halloween parties going on, and you could hear literally every single noise in the room because it's like 1 m above the club. At midnight I was so frustrated, that I couldn't fall asleep, that we just drove back home in the middle of the night and we didn't spend the night there.

Die Zimmer werden auf Booking.com mit 28 qm angegeben. Unser Zimmer hatte geschätzte 17 qm. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, wäre unsere Wahl auf eine andere Unterkunft gefallen, da wir mehrere Tage in Volendam verbracht haben. Dieses Hotel verfügt über keine eigenen Parkplätze. Das "P" bei der Ausstattung auf der Seite Booking.com ist daher irreführend. Öffentliche Parkplätze oder eine Parkgarage liegen mehrere Hundert Meter entfernt. Des Weiteren gibt es keine Rezeption, was aber kein Problem darstellt.

We definitely disliked the fact that beneath the room which we were given is located bar which was really loud every night. Meaning from early night to aproximatelly 3 to 4 am the next day there was unbearably loud music, noises of talking, screaming, glass shattering, dancing. Our bed was literally jumping from one place to anoter thanks to the beat of the loud music. So if you desire to enjoy sleepless night then welcome. You could not open the windows, because there was abnormally loud pub across the street. Again celebrating, loud talks, music, cigarette smoke, etc. If you seek some privacy you also need to have the window coverings shut down all the time, because the across pub is super close to your windows. Even though we appreciated the lock system handle of each room, we did not like the fact that you could not lock the door while you were inside other than using tiny little plastic/rubber stop.

Vor dem Lärm der umliegenden Pubs sollte gewarnt werden!!
An den Wochenenden ist vor 2:30 kaum an Schlaf zu denken.
Das Bett fanden wir viel zu weich, wir hatten morgens Kreuzschmerzen.

Helaas zit het boven een café en is het ERG gehorig! In het weekend gaan ze tot 2 uur in de nacht door en is het geluid + de bass erg extreem waardoor je meerdere keren wakker ligt in de nacht. Houd hier rekening mee met je booking!!!

hoewel we de locatie heel goed vonden hebben we zowel overdag en tot diep in de nacht veel lawaai en een enthousiaste D.J.onder de kamer.De kamers zijn nl boven een goed bezocht cafe.Wij hebben maar even geslapen totdat ze gingen schoonmaken om half 8.

Op de gang stonk het naar rook. De trap naar boven was erg steil en smal. Ik wilde een late check out maar het personeel bleef verwijzen naar een contactpersoon (telefoon nummer) die na 3 of 4 pogingen nooit wat heeft laten horen. Uiteindelijk hoorde ik 1 uur vóór check out van het verwijzende personeelslid dat 'het vast oke is' om later uit te checken. Het was vervelend dat personeel intern bleef verwijzen ipv gewoon antwoord te geven.
