The space
Casa Branca is a newly built, open plan private villa, offering you a light and bright living space with high-quality finish. It has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a separate room with comfy sofa and work desk. The house especially great for those traveling with children.
The spacious open kitchen if fully equipped and comes with modern appliances. From the kitchen, you have acces to a small garden at the back. A small pool at the front of the house offers respite on hot days and is perfect for kids to play in. The front yard also has an outdoor dining table.
The villa is located in a cul-de-sac between the picturesque Dona Ana beach and the famous Ponte de Piedade. Other iconic beaches such as Praia do Porto de Mos are just a stone throw's away. Lagos' historic and lively city centre with lots of fabulous restaurants, shops, and (cocktail) bars is nearby. The high-end Lagos Marina also offers great nights out on the promenade and a huge variety of boat excursions and water sports. Closer to home, you will find a selection of (beach) bars and restaurants where you can find local and high-quality food while enjoying the fantastic views over the ocean. There is a local supermarket around the corner of the house, while the nearest big hypermarket is just a 3-minute drive.

The neighborhood
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. It is located on the coast. You can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
One of our company representatives will meet you upon check-in. We will gladly explain all you need to know about your villa location and leisure facilities and include many local tips to make your holiday special. We will happily answer any questions you may have. In addition, all our private collection villas have a Villa Instructions Folder that will provide you with all the villa instructions and lots of practical local advice.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport, and car rental is available in the airport's parking lot. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast), but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can quickly get around without a car, and there are plenty of taxis and Uber's available, but if you want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a lot easier.
You can park on-site for free.
Other things to note
➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9pm. Check-in after 9pm needs to be confirmed in advance and might lead to extra costs. After 10pm, our support line might not be available for check-in assistance and check-in after that time is at your own risk.
➤ Check-out time: before 10am
ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourists’ and guests' information to Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (known short as SEF). To comply with legal requirements, from a week before arrival, we shall send you a link to our SEF form for you to complete and send back to us before your arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.

Auf unsere Beschwerde hin wurde zwar Reinigungspersonal geschickt, jedoch ohne jeglichen Effekt. Hier hat grundlegendes Verständnis für Hygiene und Sauberkeit gefehlt, da offensichtliche Verschmutzungen sogar auf Hinweisung nicht erkannt oder beseitigt wurden.
Positiv zu bewerten ist die Lage. Schöne Gegend und innerhalb von 20 Minuten (Fußweg) sind sowohl Strände als auch das Zentrum von Lagos zu erreichen. Auch die Kommunikation beim Check in war sehr angenehm.

Downsides: beds were very firm and bedrooms would benefit from blackout blinds. There was only one sun lounger by the pool, and despite contacting the host several times, we received no reply. The pool area could use a refresh and some greenery. Communication overall was poor, with slow and curt responses on arrival and no welcome message. Small touches like hand soap in bathrooms would also improve the stay.
Overall, a lovely villa in a great location, but let down by poor communication and some missing basics.

If you want to sunbath by the pool this is only possible for one person due to only 1 sunbed.

One can easily walk to downtown Lagos in 20 minutes and to the beach in 15 minutes.
Unfortunately, the cleaning was not done when we arrived. The chambers and bathrooms were dirty, and most of the kitchen dishes as well.
Knowing that the host has very good ratings, it is possible that the cleaning company they employ did not do its job properly. Anyhow, the situation was easily resolved with the help of Airbnb support.

Lage und Ausstattung wie beschrieben und ruhig wie von uns gewünscht. Strand fußläufig zu erreichen ansonsten half uns der Mietwagen.
Der Kontakt mit Rental Valley war gut und präzise wenn benötigt und ansonsten unaufdringlich.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und können die Unterkunft empfehlen.

Various fixes needed, one wine glass between eight of us, curtain down in bedroom, wobbly tap, no real welcome pack, no plants, bland and felt like being in big brother, fined for arriving late. Won’t be staying again

Host was very responsive before check-in. Great villa, very spacious and tidy.
Disappointed that we were not able to open up the front gates to bring the car in as described on the listing. When asked about this with the host, I didn't receive a reply.
Something I think could be improved is how many sets of keys they provided. We were only given one set of keys, which attributed to us being locked out of the villa one evening, as the door is the type that can not be open without a key and this was left inside and the wind blew the door closed whilst enjoying the pool.
It would make sense if two sets of keys were provided, to help prevent that situation.
Although the host wasn't contactable when we were locked out, Rental Valley Support was great in helping us find a locksmith to let us back in.

Pool and outside area Is also great for a chilled breakfast or evening meal!
Would 100% recommend this to anyone only a 20 - 25 min walk to Lagos old town, and close to some great beaches. Also, Really efficient communication from host.
Only thing that could be improved is that not all the toilets had hand soap and there was no washing detergent for washing machine (appreciate this is not specified as included - but always a nice touch so you don’t have to buy a full bottle and leave there, when you most likely only need to do a few washes)
But all and all great experience and great property ✅✅✅

We stayed here as a group of 6 and couldn’t fault the property, very luxurious with everything you need. We loved the space in particular the sunshine lit pool. We were worried it may be a little far out but really it meant we had peace and quiet and were within walking distance to Lagos’s most beautiful beaches as well as the old town. Thanks for having us, will be back!

Poolside Patio Chairs: We regret that you had difficulty with the poolside patio chairs. We did attempt to replace the damaged chair, but unfortunately, it took longer than expected to find a suitable chair. We acknowledge that this impacted your experience, and we're sorry we did not understand how inconvenient it was for you to use one of the other 6 chairs we provide inside of the accommodation.
The issue with the driveway gate was indeed an unexpected one. Our team made several attempts to fix it during your stay, but regrettably, the problem persisted. We're grateful for your patience and understanding in parking on the street.
The dryer was not used frequently by most guests, given the favorable weather conditions. We do know that the dryer is not easily usable and therefore do not have it listed in the amenities.
We would like to emphasize that the issues you raised are important to us, and we're taking steps to address them.

Thrilled with location. 1 km from Porto Mos beach. Easy walk to restaurants and old city centre.
Unfortunately our communication with rental company went mostly ignored. The automatic gate for our vehicle would not open. No one ever came to fix it. Our request for a sixth outdoor chair was never answered.
