    The property is perfectly situated, just up from the old town square. It’s right in the heart of things, with a grocery store only steps away. It’s an ideal base while in the town. It’s close to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Be prepared for a little bit of noise from the street as late-night revellers make their way home, but being at the centre of the action is well worth it. The property rental agency was responsive when things needed to be fixed. It’s a comfortable place in a great spot. We will be back

  5. An excellent trip for the New Year weekend

    Positive: We chose this apartment for the central location as we were only in town for the New Year weekend. We were concerned the noise levels from the surrounding bars, etc. might be a bit much, but it was absolutely fine as any noise was fairly constant so we slept well. We didn't use the kitchen other than the fridge, but the apartment seemed well equipped if you wanted to self-cater. Lots of storage space for clothing, etc. We didn't use the terrace due to the cooler weather in December but it would be a great space to sit in warmer weather Negative: There were only 2 proper chairs to sit on, the other 2 were camping chairs. We had 2 teenagers with us so didn't really need the chairs as the kids preferred to stay in their bedroom, but it wouldn't be great with 4 adults (or sociable kids), as the camping chairs weren't very comfortable. There were 2 doors to enter the property - a split storm door - which was very narrow to get in & out of unless you unlocked both sides of the door - then a regular door just inside the storm doors. Both doors needed locked with a key and there was only 1 key for each door. It would be much better with either 2 sets of keys or with a Yale type lock on at least one of the doors so it's secured from the outside but can be opened from the inside without a key. It caused us some problems when some wanted to stay in bed for a sleep while the others went out as there's no door-bell. The choice was to lock them in or leave the door unlocked, and neither option was ideal.

    This property is absolutely gorgeous. The location is perfect and allows you to take in everything the city has to offer. Very clean, plenty of space, and even came with speakers to play music! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun getaway with friends. Thanks so much!

    Clean nice place just like in the pictures! Was a noisy spot so woke up several times in the night and AC had some trouble but we got a small reimbursement for the AC! Other than that had a nice time with gift shops, beach, and lots of restaurants/bars nearby.

    Trotz Nebensaison, absolut Action im Umkreis. Jeden Abend Live-Musik in sämtlichen Bars, Restaurants in der Umgebung. Leider so laut, dass wir früher abgereist sind, da wir keine Nacht durchschlafen konnten. Musik bis in die Morgenstunden, vibrierende Bässe. Wir sind absolut nicht Lärmempfindlich, aber das war uns zu viel. Nicht nachzuvollziehen war die Reinigungsgebühr die wir bezahlt haben, da wir Müll etc. selbst entsorgen mussten beim Verlassen des Apartments. Die Unterkunft an sich ist schön und war im erwarteten Zustand anzutreffen, einfacher Check in über eine Schlüsselbox. Lage: mitten im Altstadt-Zentrum, nahe Restaurants und Strand.

    Positive: Central as far as beach, restaurants and coffee shops. All mod cons supplied. Nice walk in shower in double bedroom. We really liked that everything was in walking distance. We really liked the terrace. Negative: So noisy every night. We never expected it to be so loud from live music followed by techno music plus screeching from passers by. Air con leaking in upstairs bedroom drenched a pillow and corner of single bed. We communicated this but received polite replies but no action. Asked for late check out but cleaners weren’t informed. We got a phone call asking us to leave followed by an apology when we explained that we had been offered until 12. So poor communication between the various partners. All 3 of us used the downstairs shower as the upstairs one was tiny.

    Positive: Lage sehr zentral. Strand in der Nähe. Komfortable eingerichtet. Sehr gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Negative: Kein persönlicher Kontakt. Anreise schwierig und Schlüssel in einer Keybox. Sehr laut bis 5 Uhr morgens. Check out um 10.00 dann steht bereits das Putzpersonal da.

  31. Two storey property right in the heart of the old town of Albuferia

    Positive: This property couldn't be closer to everything you needed, supermarket right across the street, beach 3 mins walk ( through the tunnel), bars and restaurants outside the door. Beds comfortable, air conditioner great, modern kitchen with everything you need, great showers, small sun terrace upstairs which was private and easy to access. Had issues with WiFi when we arrived, Jacqueline got this fixed for us very quickly. We travelled with two teenage girls and the location of this place allowed them to come and go as they pleased Negative: The convenience of being so centrally located in the old town meant the nightlife noise was very loud and it went on until 4-5am. This is not the fault of the property as it is very close to a bar which provides live rock bands but if you are looking for a good night's sleep, this is not the place for you. While the sun terrace was a lovely asset it could do with some attention, it could be so much nicer.

    Positive: Logement très propre, belle petite terrasse sur le toit. Bien situé aussi, sur une rue piétonne. Plage facilement accessible et en plein cœur de la vieille ville. Parfait pour profiter du « nightlife ». Negative: Musique très forte jusqu’à 3h du matin aux alentours, très audible de l’intérieur du logement. Prévoir des bouchons pour les oreilles! À éviter pour ceux recherchant la tranquillité. Nous suggérons fortement de rendre disponible un 2e ensemble de clés pour permettre les allés et venus des différents membres du groupe.

    Positive: Perfect location, very friendly locals, great restaurants. Negative: Very little privacy in the small bedroom because of the sliding door arrangement. Ensuite toilet didn't always flush. Unexpected stairs leading up to living quarters, difficult for elderly people.

    We enjoyed our stay here. A very nicely decorated apartment that makes good use of its space. Both bedrooms/beds were good and comfortable, and there were extra pillows for those who needed them. Showers are a little bit on the small side, but both had great water pressure. Really convenient location for everything in Albufeira's old town. We were there in mid-October as the season was coming to an end, and the area was still pretty busy. It can get very noisy at night with some of the bands playing in local bars, so probably isn't ideal for very light sleepers or families with young children.

    Great place if you’re looking for the nightlife. Located right in the center of the downtown, steps from restaurants and shopping. If you’re not into late night fun, it’s not the best option. During our stay, music from the surrounding bars was blasting until 2:30am one night, and just a bit shorter on other nights. We were surprised to read that other people found it very quiet. Close to the beach, walkable distance to most local attractions. There are a few flights of steps (rental description mentions that) and basically two separate mini lofts with a kitchen/dining area, bedroom and bathroom on the second floor, and a bedroom, bathroom and terrace on the third. Vendors on the first floor. Place is *not* suitable for families with young children, even though the listing states it is, unless children are on the older side (no barriers/safety guards between the rooms and stairways, even an adult can easily fall down if not careful). AC in both bedrooms (lower floor AC was a little noisy). Beds and bedding were nice and clean, and so were the towels. Wiring for lights is not done properly, lower bedroom and bathroom lights were never out completely. Bathroom on the second floor was on a small side (not a big problem for us), but quite smelly due to the poor plumbing solutions. Terrace, while not large, could have been a nice spot to hang out, but the dead plants did not add any appeal, and here were cleaning tools scattered around. For a $150 cleaning fee it could have been a bit better organized.

    Positive: Location was great, everything close to hand. Shops, beach, restaurants etc. Nice apartment with little patio. Negative: We found it difficult to find so better instructions would have helped. However the local rep. did answer my call immediately when I phoned, I just would rather not have had to. Another set of keys would have been good to have.
