The space
A great apartment for 2 is the perfect base for your trip to Zandvoort. Everything you will need is close to this place. The beach and lively boulevard are within 150 meters of walking distance. As well as the train station with direct connections to Haarlem and Amsterdam.
The apartment is stylishly decorated. It features a living room with a kitchenette and dining area, a bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with a bed (2x 90x200, which are pushed together but can be made into 2 single beds).

The neighborhood
Zandvoort has something to offer for almost everyone. From lots of beach clubs and restaurants in summer, where you can have great food and drinks, to more quietness to enjoy nature in the winter times. Generally, all you need is close by and mostly within walking distance. So what are you looking for in your trip?
Two National Parks embed the village; De Waterleidingduinen and Kennemerduinen. So besides strolling on the beach, those are two significant areas to walk or cycle. There's so much more you can do! For instance, mountain biking around the race track, learning how to wave- or kitesurf, and you can even get your PADI. Did you know that Zandvoort also has a nude beach as well?
We also have a great race track called "Circuit Park Zandvoort" (1.2 km), Owned by a member of the Dutch Royal family. They organize many activities and festivities there, like DTM and Historic Grand Prix. So maybe you want to get your race license?
Last but not least, from Zandvoort you can quickly get to Amsterdam by public transport, which allows you to combine an exciting city trip with a relaxing getaway next to the beach.

Getting around
Zandvoort aan Zee has its train station, which you can get in just 27 minutes from Amsterdam Central and 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport. Depending on your plans, public transport will get you around very well. We will share a handy website to plan your routes.

Het apartement was zeer schoon.
De inrichting van de keuken was niet erg praktisch: het was voor de oudere medereiziger niet mogelijk om aan het verhoogde aanrecht op de wankele barkrukken te zitten. (Positief: de eigenaar heeft een serveertafeltje langsgebracht zodat we in de keuken op tuinstoelen aan dit tafeltje konden eten.) Er was niet voldoende serviesgoed om de vaatwasser met een goed geweten aan te zetten. De tefalbraadpan was versleten. Er was een oven, maar geen ovenschalen. De vaatwasserdeur was defekt waardoor deze bij het openen telkens met kracht naar beneden viel. Hierbij kwam ook met regelmaat de plint onder de vaatwasser los en viel op de grond. De eigenaar reageerde onvriendelijk, toen we hem op de defekte deur wezen.
Geen afgesloten opbergkast voor de stofzuiger, waardoor deze direct in de woonkamer stond. Op de originele foto's van de verhuurder is hier een afgesloten kast te zien. Verder was de trap zeer steil.
Voor deze prijs hadden we meer comfort verwacht.

Die Hausregeln sind klar formuliert was die Reinigung angeht. Daher waren wir etwas erstaunt, dass wir einzelne Küchenutensilien (Besteck, Schüssel) nicht sauber, Brosamen auf dem Tisch und Wasser im Wasserkocher vorfanden.

Einziges kleines Minus (was aber, glaube ich, normal ist in holländischen Häusern) ist die Hellhörigkeit zu den anderen Wohnungen. Die Wohnung war grundsätzlich sauber, nur um die Füße der Couch und in den Ritzen müsste mal mit dem Rohr gesaugt werden, da der Fuß des Saugers da wohl nicht hinkommt.

Die Möbel allerdings hatten schon ein wenig Zeit hinter sich. Das Bett könnte demnächst mal ausgetauscht werden. Und die Spülmaschine funktioniert beim öffnen nicht ganz.

Dass das Schlafzimmer und der Balkon nach hinten ausgerichtet sind, ist prima. So kann man Abends gut lüften, hat vom Balkon eine Aussicht in die Gärten und die Stadt und es ist zum Schlafen leise. Für besonders heiße Tage/Nächte gibt es eine Klimaanlage.
Die Küche hat einen Induktionsherd, Backofen, Kühl-/Gefrierschrank und Spülmaschine, lässt somit keine Wünsche offen.
In der Küche hätte es mehr Geschirr/Besteck geben können. Die Spülmaschine konnte nicht genutzt werden, da dafür nicht genug Geschirr vorhanden war oder sie hätte immer fast leer gespült. Auch ein Topf mit Deckel und eine größere Pfanne wäre gut gewesen.
Leider war das Bett sehr durchgelegen und die Matratzen sehr weich.
Das Parken in Zandvoort ist sehr teuer. Fast gegenüber der Ferienwohnung gibt es einen Parkplatz. Dort kostet das Parken 15 Euro am Tag. Auch auf dem Parkplatz, der 15 Gehminuten entfernt liegt, ist dies so. Das hat natürlich der Vermieter nicht zu verantworten, sollte hier nur kurz erwähnt werden, damit das in den Urlaubskosten berücksichtigt werden kann.

Die Klimaanlage hat, vor allem am ersten Tag (über 30 Grad) große Dienste getan. Ohne wäre die Nacht undenkbar gewesen.
Die Parkplatzsuche am Anreisetag gestaltete sich extrem schwierig, wofür jedoch nicht der Anbieter etwas kann. Es war dem letzten schönen Sommerwetter an einem Sonntag geschuldet, welcher Menschenmassen an den Strand pilgern ließ. Gegen Abend konnte dann auch endlich ein Parkplatz für den gesamten Aufenthalt auf dem Parkplatz de Zuid eingenommen werden.
Auf der Toilette lief keine Lüftung bei Nutzung.

Zum Appartement im 1. Stock führt eine enge, steile Treppe. Etwas mehr Geschirr wäre nicht schlecht. Die Matratzen waren für uns zu weich. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig. Amsterdam ist mit dem Zug sehr gut erreichbar.
Für Raucher: auf dem Balkon darf nicht geraucht werden.

Lediglich die Ausstattung der Küche und die Sauberkeit lassen zu wünschen übrig. Sehr viel Staub. Mehrere fremde Haare am und um dem Bett. Es wirk, als würde nur oberflächlich gereinigt werden.
Des Weiteren kann die Waschmaschine nicht benutzt werden, diese gehört den anderen Mietern. Obwohl sie in der Beschreibung angegeben ist.
Dennoch sehr liebevoll mobilisiert und modern eingerichtet.

Leider war der Fernseher nur im WLAN und nicht an eine Schüssel oder Kabelfernsehen angeschlossen und die Heizung war aus Kostengründen ausgestellt. Somit musste man sich mit einem lauten Heizlüfter für einen Raum entscheiden der warm ist.
