The neighborhood
The main boulevard in Portimao is located near Praia da Rocha and has many restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and clubs. This area offers a stunning coastline of beautiful beaches, great tourist facilities and almost perfect year-round weather.
You can link up with the main bus service to visit the eastern and western parts of the Algarve. But if you like exploring the surrounding area, we strongly recommend hiring a car. Parking is free at the apartment and in most areas of the Algarve.
The very popular Zoomarine park is just a 15-minute drive away in Guia. There are two other water parks around a 30-minute drive from the house and the Lagos Zoo.
Getting around
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But buses and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended.
Other things to note
➤ Check-in time: 4 - 9 pm. Late arrivals must be agreed upon before booking! Extra payment at arrival might be required. 9-11pm 30 euros and 11-12pm 50 euros. Check-in after midnight is not possible.
➤ Check-out time: before 10 am

We went there for our girlstrip and all four of us had a great time. We used the bed and the couch and both was really comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing. There is a beach in walking distance or another great one only about a 10 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend.

Le logement est bien situé, il y a un grand balcon avec une belle vue. Nous avions l’accès à la télévision facilement. La plage est proche et la praia d’à rocha a quelques minutes en voiture. Par contre, l’air climatisé et chauffage ne fonctionnait pas. Nous étions 3 voyageurs et nous n’avions que 2 serviettes. Aussi, le lit était sale, il y avait du sable dedans. Nous avons demandé des articles supplémentaires considérant le nombre de voyageurs, et pourtant nous avons été sans réponse pendant tout notre séjour jusqu’à la dernière journée. Le délais était très long (jours) alors que la dernière journée c’était rapide… Il n’y avait que 2 rouleaux de papier de toilette, pour 5 jours, ce qui n’est pas suffisant. D’ailleurs, nous avions à notre disposition du liquide vaisselle, mais avec une éponge moisies à la grandeur. Nous n’avons donc pas pu laver notre vaisselle avec cela. Puis, le départ est tôt alors que l’arrivé est tardive, ce qui est limitant.

O espaço é excelente, com ótima localização, perto de restaurantes e da praia. A única questão que enfrentamos foi que, ao chegarmos, percebemos que o apartamento estava preparado apenas para duas pessoas, apesar de termos reservado para quatro. Como chegamos no final do dia, no dia 31, meus filhos tiveram que dormir na nossa cama de casal, pois não havia cobertores ou lençóis para o sofá-cama, o que foi complicado devido ao frio do inverno. Felizmente, no dia seguinte, nos trouxeram tudo o que faltava, o que solucionou o problema rapidamente. Fora isso, tivemos uma ótima estadia. Obrigado!

Place is clean and has an amazing balcony, but the management company running the airbnb is exhausting and made the experience unpleasant. Sent excessive messages prior to check-in with too many instructions and info, allowed check-in only at 4pm and expects you to checkout 10am (which we couldn't know till too late because of how much PDFs and text was sent) so was a bit of a stressful vacay option for us. Will opt for something more relaxed next time.

It was a good outlay for an apartment for two people. We booked for three and only had sheets on the bed. The sofa was not made up, and when we asked for it, the people from the company brought us sheets and towels, but no pillows (?) We didn’t ask any more, as we felt like it was an inconvenience. However, Portugal in September is not warm enough to sleep without any blankets. In general there was nothing provided to cover ourselves. The place itself is alright, I‘m sure the host himself is also quite nice, just have bad experiences from companies like rental valley and this was not short of it. The place was clean, but not clean enough, in general there were minor things that we didn’t quite like. However, it‘s close to the beaches and if you have a car, you‘ll get there easily. You don‘t go to vacation somewhere just to stay at the apartment, so take what I said with a grain of salt.

O facto de ser extremamente perto da praia e o facto de a cama e o sofá serem muito confortáveis. Estava marcado para sair da casa até as 10h, no entanto, a água foi cortada as 9h30, deixando os residentes sem forma de tomar banho e lavar os dentes.

o espaço apesar de pequeno, serve perfeitamente para 4 pax. está muito bem localizado, casa de banho boa, quarto com espaço e bastante arrumação. apenas acho que a cozinha é pequena mas acaba por servir para refeições rápidas. estacionamento nas redondezas nem sempre é fácil de encontrar mas consegue-se fazer tudo a pé, nas proximidades existem restaurantes e pequeno comércio. existe elevador no prédio o que é um ponto positivo. apenas acho que falte máquina de lavar loiça e de roupa, principalmente a de roupa é essencial para ir lavando toalhas. também falta na varanda um estendal visto que a maioria dos hóspedes deve ir fazer praia é necessário estender toalhas/Bikinis. o processo de check-in é bastante rápido e seguro.

Et on nous a accusé que nous avions fait venir un chien dans l'appartement alors que pas du tout mais l'hôte a été désagréable sur ce sujet.
