  3. Perfect location, some work needed

    Positive: The property’s location was perfect. A little out of town (about a 2 minute walk to the centre). It hits the perfect spot in being close enough to amenities but quiet by the pool, in hammocks & outside dining area. This was lovely. Negative: The property was very difficult to find. This should be communicated more clearly-perhaps on check in text. It’s only on check in docs at the moment & hidden away at that. The drain was blocked, we contacted to the host who said it was fixed-but in fact a plunger was put in the sink & not repaired. The next day a plumber retuned and fixed it, but this was half way through our stay. The appliances are out of date-old & barely working. Kettle should be thrown away & coffee machine is intermittent. The bathroom has low water pressure & the handle on the shower had fallen off prior to our arrival (just on the floor). The bed was a bit uncomfortable-small pillows and quite tough. There are also some wires coming out from the door above the bathroom (maybe live, but didn’t want to test). Also a lot of plugs were a bit exposed around the edge and loose when plug was removed.

  7. Loved staying in Sagres. The apartment was in a great location as it was only a 5 min walk to two of the nearby beaches

    Positive: Great location only a 5 min walk to the beach. Apartment was spacious. Negative: Washing didn’t work which we weren’t informed of. Internet wasn’t working when we turned up but was resolved the next day. Kitchen sink was blocked and smelt bad. The apartment is old but functional.

    Positive: Appartamento grande e comodo, carino l'accesso direttamente a giardino e piscina, posizione comoda, si riesce a parcheggiare facilmente nei dintorni Negative: Da rinnovare a livello di infissi, elettrodomestici, nel mio caso lavatrice semidistrutta, il Wi-Fi è rimasto fuori uso per tutto il soggiorno. L'assistenza, comunque molto cortese, risponde da Amsterdam per cui non è immediato né scontato ricevere aiuto.

    Positive: Appartment has everything you could possibly need and is in a great location, quiet but close to lots of bars/restaurants and 5 minutes walk from 2 nice beaches. Negative: Curtains didn't block much light, all other apartments on the block had blackout shutters.

    Positive: Sehr schöne Anlage mit Pool, direkt über die Terrasse zu erreichen. Wohnung geräumig. Parkplatz vor der Tür. 2 Strände bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Negative: Die Ausstattung war teilweise sehr alt und nicht komplett (kein Schneidebrett in der Küche!!!) oder nicht intakt (Griff der Duschtür lose, Duschkabine undicht, Wasserkocher innen rostig, Schimmel in der Waschmittelschublade der Waschmaschiene). Die Platte des Wohnzimmertisches ist komisch angebracht. Diese wackelt. Man muss aufpassen, dass man sich mit den Armen darauf nicht abstützt. Das Kabel des Föns ist so kurz und die Steckdosen so niedrig, dass ich meine Haare im knien föhnen musste. Die Adresse ist leider bei Google maps nicht zu finden. Man muss etwas raten, wo die richtige Straße ist. Der Kontakt findet nur per Email über eine Hausverwaltung statt. Deswegen kann man den Gastgeber nicht wirklich beurteilen.

    Positive: Schönes großes Appartment mit Terrasse und Zugang zu Swimming Pool, voll ausgestattet, Fußentfernung zu Stränden und Castello, Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus Negative: ein Zettel mit Namen und Telefonnummer einer Ansprechperson wäre schön gewesen wegen Reparaturen oder Auskunft (Appartment wird von Agentur verwaltet)

    Positive: Fijn, schoon en ruim appartement met heel fijn terras aan het zwembad inclusief hangmatten (uit de wind, dus lekker warm tijdens winderige dagen). Goeie wifi, lekkere douche inclusief grote fijne handdoeken, ruime badkamer, veel kastruimte en veel keukenapparatuur en -gerei aanwezig waardoor het comfortabel koken was. Om de hoek bij het leuke centrum, het strand, restaurantjes, winkeltjes en de laundry lounge (mijn favoriete bar). Negative: Ik had moeite met de locatie vinden, omdat google maps een andere plek in de straat aangeeft. Daarbij was het mij niet goed duidelijk welk appartement van mij was en het hulpnummer was tot driemaal toe niet te bereiken. Dat mag volgende keer duidelijker gecommuniceerd worden want het gebouw bestaat uit allemaal gelijksoortige appartementen. Verder kon het soms wat vies ruiken in de badkamer + keuken vanwege het riool (maar dat was ik wel gewend van andere plekken in Portugal).

  27. A comfortable and relaxing stay in a very welcoming surfers town.

    Positive: The apartment has a direct access to the garden and a good-sized pool. Very easy to walk to the Mareta and Tonel beaches. Restaurants and local bars in the area are all amazing. Negative: No comment
