Just 5 minutes walk from the beach and marina you are in the heart of the city centre. The old town is also just a 5 minute walk away where you can explore the local history and find numerous local restaurants to try out the traditional Portuguese cuisine.
There is a large balcony with a stunning view accross the marina and out to Meia Praia. Watch the sun rise over the ocean before embarking on a day filled with all the exciting activities the area has to offer.

The neighborhood
The apartment is located in the heart of the city of Lagos in a traditionally Portuguese street. The cobbled streets of the old town of Lagos are 5 minutes walk away.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

Het appartement ligt op de 6e verdieping en er is een lift aanwezig. De ruimte is netjes en ingericht voor de verhuur. Twee ruime slaapkamers waarvan een met een bed van 140cm (waarvan de matras de matras aan vervanging toe is) en een met een bed van 160cm (met een goed matras).
Badkamer is prima, fijne douche.
Woonkamer en keuken zijn goed, niks op aan te merken.
Ruim balkon met zon tot een uur of 12.
De host is een bedrijf en ze reageren snel en correct. Uitgebreide welkoms brochure met alle benodigde informatie.

Bei unserer Überprüfung konnten wir zudem keine Flecken oder Mängel feststellen. Hätten Sie uns während Ihres Aufenthalts darüber informiert, hätten wir uns sehr gern darum gekümmert, um Ihren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer zu gestalten. Bedauerlicherweise gab es jedoch kaum Kommunikation mit Ihnen.

Pas facile de se garer, tout est payant et au max 3h de stationnement à payer en pièces...j'ai résolu le pb en me garant au parking public couvert situé à 5 min à pied (13€ par jour)
Attention aux attaques de goélands qui sont très agressifs (période de nichage en Juin), cela nous à réellement empêché d’aller sur la terrasse, sauf à avoir un balai ou un parasol !!
Les améliorations qui pourraient être faites à moindre cout :
6 fourchettes et 6 couteaux, c'est un peu juste
1 seule petite tasse à café (espresso)...
Pas d’égouttoir, juste une passette de 20cm de diamètre, pas pratique pour égoutter des pâtes ou de la salade
Terrasse : pas de transats , stores ou parasol, à midi il fait très chaud

The location was excellent, being a short walk to the old town and the water front.
The on street parking outside was strict so if you do have a hire car you can either pay for local parking (1.5 euros for 3 hours) or park for free and walk 10-mins to the apartment.
All in all it was a great place to stay and I would certainly stay there again.

We booked it for a couple of reasons. Firstly the proximity to the centre of Lagos, and secondly the view .... both of which were great!
Normally it's just my wife and I that travel, but this time we had my wife's mother (Wendy) with us, and she's not great on her feet at times, so the location was perfect. The short walk of a few hundred yards into Lagos was more than manageable for her, and when she said she needed a rest, it was usually at the first decent coffee house or bar ... so no complaints there!
The view was the other thing that's worth mentioning. We thought that if Wendy just needed a complete day of chilling out, she could simply sit and watch the word go by ... and she did every-time we got back!
Fingers crossed that next time we go to Lagos, our dates will be available. Just book it and you'll love it. 👍
