The neighborhood
This townhouse is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is right behind the town center of Sagres, with it's many restaurants and shops. The big supermarket is 5-10 minutes walking. Beliche beach and the Cabo de São Vicente ('end of the world') are just a few minutes by car.
Getting around
There are several buses a day going to and from Sagres, but to get around a hire car is recommended. You can park one car for free on our private parking, extra cars can park in the streets surrounding this accommodation.

there were issues with the lock, meaning we couldn't lock the flat or take the key out of the lock for two days. communication was overall great - sometimes confusing, but always very quick.
the people we met, checking on the pool, the lock and the other properties were all incredibly friendly and helpful. overall casa miro was a great base for our time in sagres.

The only thing we would remark was the water temperature in the small pool. A little heating would be an advantage.
Other than that we were satisfied, check in and out without any problems. everithing as described. We loved it.

cons: cloud’ve been cleaned better, overall some maintenance to do (napkin on the corner on the wall probably to cover a hole?) and very demanding house rules not stated at the beginning. A week before arrival we received a document stating we needed to clean all the dishes and leave the dishwasher empty (which is still okay) but also to throw away the trash ourselves and there were no bins on the property not even that close. we had to drive with trash on the car and hoping to find a trash bin. Then unnecessary to make us pay for cleaning fees i suppose. In addition, pictures were a bit misleading, the pool is 1 third of what it looks like in the pictures and was a bit disappointing.

Pour le point négatif, nous pouvons dire qu’il y a peu d’équipements pour cuisiner et que la maison est dans son jus.
Sinon hormis ça, tout est impeccable, très beau cadre je recommande ce logement.

Die Villa an sich hat alles was man braucht. Ist jedoch an manchen Stellen Reparaturbedürftig. Zum Beispiel im Garten oder am Pool.
Sonst sehr sehr schön.
Die Straße mit lärm kann manchmal nerven wenn man schlafen möchte. Sonst ist es relativ ruhig.
Es gab zu viel Insekten in der Villa da die Bauarbeiter nix richtig gut abgedichtet haben damals. Moskitos in der nacht gab es viele.
Bauschutt wurde ebenfalls einfach hinter der Mauer entsorgt haha.

We had not hired a car and walking anywhere on the main road is quite treacherous- there are no pavements. Might be worth mentioning that a car is really needed when staying here.

La equipación de la casa es mínima y todo de mala calidad. Los sofàs del salón y cojines estaban sucísimos. El baño no está cerca del dormitorio. La casa no tiene puerta de separación con el resto de la urbanización por lo que el que pasa por delante del jardín puede ver el interior. No hay privacidad ninguna. La piscina mal mantenida.

The villa is located a little outside of main town Sagres, so walking is not possible, but easily with a car or a bike you go to the town and to many beaches close-by.
We found the villa in a little more worn condition than expected, and some smaller details would have made the difference (e.g. kitchen basics, toiletries) but overall it was a wonderful stay!

L’appartamento nel quale abbiamo soggiornato (MIRO)necessita di maggiore manutenzione interna ,prese della corrente instabili ,poco sicure ,bagno vecchio rispetto al resto della casa e sporco(il wc era sporco da diverso tempo ,ho le foto ) ,come le ragnatele sparse sul soffitto della camera da letto,parecchi ragni non piccoli in casa ,essendo una casa in mezzo ai campi ci puo state la con le giuste accortezze si potrebbe evitare . Lo spazio esterno bellissimo .Se i clienti arrivano di notte sarebbe carino trovare le luci del giardino illuminate e non essere lasciati completamente al buio senza indicazioni . Tutti gli altri appartamenti avevano le indicazioni il nostro ne era privo .

The outdoor area was relatively private & the pool was lovely, & it was perfect for what we wanted.
Yes, as other reviews have stated, the kitchen was a little basic, but we hadn’t planned on being there much as we spent most of our time exploring & eating out

The only downside is the kitchen that is very minimal. The appliances do not work properly (coffee maker + toaster) and there is the bare minimum in terms of utensils. I think it would be so much better with just a small upgrade! Also, low shower pressure + no soap in the bathroom.
Otherwise, very good and would recommend!

Die Einrichtung ist spartanisch aber stilvoll. Das Appartment selbst ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür ist es groß und lichtdurchflutet, hat eine Duschwanne und einen sehr schönen Außenbereich. Das Grundstück ist ein Traum und die Vermieter wohnen gleich nebenan. Es ist nicht weit von Sagres entfernt und alle Surfspots sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Wir würden es immer wieder buchen.

La qualité perçue sur les photos ne correspond pas complètement à la réalité malgré un logement très acceptable (cuisine abîmée avec des poêles et casseroles plus que rayées, salle de bain avec un rideau de douche usé…).
Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et ont fait intervenir quelqu’un pour venir laver les baies vitrée suite à notre demande.
Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour.

However, we did think the AirBNB is not as suitable for 4 adults as it would have been for two, since the bedroom is an actual nice place to sleep but the sleeping arrangement in the living room was definitely not close to being as nice. Also, there was no hand soap available which we thought was a bit of a shame, especially being in a pandemic.
Susana and her husband who we met on the grounds were very friendly!

Front wall is entirely from glass and overlooks nice green plot with wooden terrace and small swimming pool for refreshment. On the top of that it's situated on the hill and you have nice views of the ocean and the town itself.

Lovely outdoor area with decking and a small pool, we enjoyed eating our breakfast out here and made use of the bbq one evening.
It's a very tranquil location and we were also able to walk to the restaurants that we wanted to go to (distances range from 5 to 25 mins walk). Beach is a short drive away.
Susana's communication was great - very clear on how to get there.
Would definitely recommend Villa Miro.

2 things weren't perfect. The kitchen is very poorly equipped, the dishwasher didn't really clean well and there was only one dull cooking knife (we got a second one after asking). The Wifi is fast, if it's working. 2 of our devices just lost connection all the time.
At night the sprinklers for the garden turn on. That always interrupted our sleep.
Besides that we were really happy.

Villa Miro is a modern style house, spotlessly clean, perfectly located in a larger lovely property, and totally adapted for 4 people. Moreover, Susana's communication has been excellent, as well as Filippa's and Matteo's on-site welcome, availabiliy and great sense of service to make our stay absolutely perfect. O quarto é incrível, o colchão é fantástico e dorme-se muito bem, acorda-se cedo pois a luz entra por todos os lados. A cozinha está super equipada e se faltar algo podem falar com a Susana que a mesma ajuda.
A piscina é fantástica e o espaço exterior também.
Foi super fácil de chegarmos à quinta.

Também ficamos surpresos, pois informamos que seríamos 2 adultos e duas crianças e nas camas da sala não haviam roupas de cama, apenas as capas dos colchões, que também poderiam ser atualizados tendo em vista não serem confortáveis. Não foram disponibilizados cobertores para todos os hóspedes.
Acreditamos que o valor cobrado pela estadia está além do que é ofertado.
Os pontos positivos: internet boa, piscina limpa, boa localização e segurança no local.

Em termos de localização, embora não tivesse saído nunca a pé, com o carro ficava tudo a poucos minutos. O supermercado, a praia e os principais marcos turísticos de Sagres.
A simpatia, a facilidade de comunicação, as indicações e a facilidade no check-in também são a destacar.
Em suma: aconselho a estadia na Vila Miro para um casal com uma criança pequena.

Any small house with 300m2 private garden inside a town has neighbours quite close.
The car parking site is sheared with the 3 properties. Also the entrance gate of the property is sheared with the other properties.

Sagres town centre is a few minutes by car or about a 15 minute walk. The beautiful Martinhal beach can be reached by walking along a trail which starts from near the villa and takes about 20 minutes. There are lots of interesting places to visit within a short drive, the nearby Cape St Vincent and Fortress Sagres, and a little further north of Sagres the beaches at Praia da Arrifana and Praia de Odeceixe and the mountain town of Monchique are all worth a visit.
Good selection of restaurants serving excellent seafood and very good value.

La casa está totalmente equipada y tiene un enorme salón. El patio está delimitado por unos setos y tiene piscina y bbq.

Some basic amenities missing but supermarket nearby so no problem to get supplies. Interior a little tired but still comfortable. Host responded quickly when we had questions.
Shops and restaurants walkable but highly advisable to have a car due to lack of footpaths. Have the fish at Babugem!
Already planning trip back to Sagres! Beautiful part of Portugal that reminded us of our home New Zealand.
