Our Oceanview Dream apartment is a modern and comfortably furnished apartment, located tucked away in the backstreets of the friendly town of Praia da Luz.
The space
This modern and comfortable 1 bed, 1 bath apartment with large terrace is located near Praia da Luz beach. You can walk to the beach and the lively promenade in just 2 minutes but still be far enough back to enjoy a quiet and calm stay.
With an open plan kitchen and living room that catches lots of sunlight through the large glass terrace doors leading to the spacious and furnished terrace, this apartment is the ideal getaway for couples who love to explore Praia da Luz and it's surroundings, but also want a comfy and fully equipped homebase during their stay. From here, you can have your toes in the sand in just few minutes. Supermarkets, shops and the many restaurants and bars that this quaint little beach town has to offer are very close by.
The apartment is completely private and equipped with everything you might need on your holiday. The separate bedroom has a 150x200 double bed, the renovated bathroom has a beautiful walk-in shower and the open plan kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook up a storm!

The neighborhood
Luz is a quaint little holiday getaway along the Algarvian coastline. Shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach are right on your doorstep. Set amidst spectacular coastal scenery you can take your time to explore the stunning cliffs, undiscovered beaches, neighbouring quaint villages and the national park. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the regional capital, Lagos, if you want a bit more action.
The complex is a short walk from the supermarkt, bars, restaurants and other shops and only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful, child-friendly beach. Great for surfing and other watersports activities like diving, snorkeling and sailing. And near one of the many hiking trails down the cliffs.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
You can park for free in Luz. Parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

A notre arrivée nous avons trouvé la cuisine sous équipée en ustensiles de cuisine et vaisselle pour un appartement de cette catégorie, les personnes de la conciergerie ont été très réactives pour nous fournir le nécessaire des le lendemain. L'appartement est très bien situé à quelques minutes a pied de la plage. Luz est une petite station très paisible et agréable du moins hors saison.

Very hard bed
Pillows totally inadequate
Duvet wasnt big enough for the bed or thick enough for the time of year. There was heating but it was not something we wanted on in a bedroom during the night.
Please...... purchase a separate toaster. The grill within the oven/microwave is high up within the kitchen & very difficult to operate (no instructions), because it is so high its quite a hazard getting heavy items of out it.

The appartement has everything you need, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, storrage; all good. You can tell it is a private property, nevertheless it is well looked after and very comfy.
Maybe some different/adjustable lights for in the evening. The ones there are now are pretty bright and don't give much warmth to the room.
The showerdrain was pretty much overflooding, which made it a bit dirty to stand there.

Ho soggiornato nell'appartamento insieme a mia moglie durante la nostra luna di miele: la casa è davvero bella, perfetta per una coppia. Ben arredata, luminosa, a due passi dalla spiaggia principale di Luz, con vista sull'oceano.
Comodissimo parcheggiare e molto semplici check-in e check-out.
Comunicazioni puntuali, chiare e precise da parte dell'host.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und es war alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Ein Supermarkt war 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und vor der Tür gibt es immer genügend Parkplätze. Klare Empfehlung von uns!

Belle terrasse, intimiste, avec une vue apaisante sur la mer et les falaises au loin, au calme mais avec tout le nécessaire à moins de 5 minutes à pied (plage, restaurants, bars, supermarchés, pharmacie, etc.).
Assez facile de trouver une place de parking malgré le monde.
Je recommande fortement. Un vrai plaisir.

The accommodation is light, clean, spacious and tasteful. Lovely seating area outside. Great aircon. Well situated, very close to access to beach, sea and eating places.
Above all, a peaceful and quiet location.
We had a delightful stay and would definitely recommend.
Just beware:
On our arrival, there was no electricity. After a bit of head-scratching, we managed to deduce that the electricity had been turned off at the fusebox. By resetting the switches everything worked fine, but we don't really think guests should have to do this.
Luckily we arrived during daylight hours, otherwise that would definitely have been a problem. Something to watch for in the future perhaps.

la propreté est irréprochable.
A pied, on est à 2 minutes du remblai et de la plage ou se trouvent les restaurants et boutiques. La rue est calme, Luz est une petite ville sympathique et paisible.

The bed was unbelievably hard and my wife was unable to sleep comfortably on it. We contacted the hosting company who apologised but said that they could not provide a mattress topper or other solution to help alleviate this problem. As a result my wife had two awful nights sleep, getting up with an aching back each morning. In the end we bought an additional duvet for her to lie on, which made the bed slightly more tolerable.
In addition to the hard bed we also noticed that the mattress protector was badly stained. Again we brought this to the attention of the hosting company, who again apologised and said that they would bring it to the attention of their housekeeping team to ensure it was replaced promptly. It wasn't replaced during our stay.
