The neighborhood
Zandvoort has something to offer for almost everyone. From lots of beach clubs and restaurants in summer, where you can have great food and drinks to more quietness to enjoy nature in the winter times. Generally, all you need is closeby and mostly in walking distance. What are you looking for in your trip?
The village is embedded by two National Parks; De Waterleidingduinen and Kennemerduinen. So besides strolling the beach those are two great areas to walk or cycle. There's so much more you can do! For instance mountain-biking around the race-track, learning how to wave- or kitesurf and you can even get your PADI. Did you know that Zandvoort also has a nude beach as well?
We also have a great race-track called "Circuit Park Zandvoort" (1.2 km). Next to the yearly Grand Prix race that is held here, they organise a lot of activities and festivities there, like DTM and Historic Grand Prix. Maybe you want to get your race-license?
Last but not least, you can easily travel from Zandvoort to Amsterdam with public transport which allows you to combine an exciting citytrip with a relaxed getaway next to the beach.
Getting around
Turning left from the house, there is a bus stop 200 meters away that serves routes towards Haarlem (via the boulevard/beach). Besides that, Zandvoort aan Zee has its own train station to which you can get in just 27 minutes from Amsterdam Central and 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The train station is at a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. There is a direct line to Haarlem as well. Depending on your plans, public transport will get you around very well.
