The space
Experience Olhão from our intelligently configured apartment, blending function and form in a compact space that feels just right. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, this apartment is an ideal base for exploring the local culture and scenery without sacrificing comfort.
Inside, the living area cleverly incorporates a double bed, separated by a modern partition wall that offers both openness and privacy. The upstairs bedroom features a single bed, tailored for peaceful nights. It’s a simple, cozy space for unwinding away from the main living area. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials, making meal preparation easy whether you're popping in for a quick snack or preparing a meal from fresh, local ingredients found in the town's vibrant markets. The bathroom is streamlined and practical, equipped with amenities to start your day refreshed or wind down in the evening.
One of the highlights is the private terrace. Shielded from the intense Portuguese sun with a shade cloth, this space is your secluded nook for relaxing outdoors in the gentle breeze of the Algarve coast. This apartment is just a short walk from the energetic pulse of Olhão, with its rich history, stunning marina, and eclectic eateries.

The neighborhood
Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old centre with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here, you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available.
Due to the central location, you will have lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from in the close vicinity of the apartment.
Getting around
You can quickly get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber. A hire car is recommended if you want to explore the larger Algarve area. Parking in old town Olhão is accessible in most places, except along the waterfront. It can be challenging to find it. An extensive paid parking area at a nearby hotel is a good alternative for those uncomfortable navigating the old town streets.

La mauvaise isolation sonore est un gros point noir à celui-ci. Il vaut mieux se munir de grosses boules quies.
On entend du bruit jusqu’aux petites heures et nous levons avec les bruits de la pasteleria d’en face (bien située) vers 6h du matin.
En dehors de ça, très bien fourni, chouette d’avoir une terrasse à disposition ! Entrée autonome, super ! Merci !!

Le sacaron mucho partido al espacio, las dimensiones del baño para alguien corpulento son algo estrechas y la escalera que conduce a la terraza también.
Por lo demás, todo está muy correcto y positivamente reseñable.

- die Wohnung war sehr staubig und dreckig, wir sollten 3 Stunden putzenubd die Bettwäsche waschen
-di Wohnung riecht muffig (feucht)
- es wird nicht richtig warm
- im oberen Bereich gibt es ein Bett (die Bettwäsche und Handtücher die dort lagen sind feucht und es ist sehr kalt und zieht - dort zu schlafen ist um diese Jahreszeit eine Zumutung)
-die Toilette wurde nicht abgespült bem ankommen
-die günstigsten Bettwäsche wie Gummi
- der Strom fällt aus (10 mal mindestens pro Tag, kochen unmöglich )
Auf dem Schlafsofa im EG ist das Schlafen auch fast unmöglich.
Nach zwei Stunden extreme Schmerzen, weil man direkt auf den Metallstreben liegt. Zudem war die Wohnung nicht einmal vernünftig gesäubert.

Wir arbeiten mit einem professionellen Reinigungsteam zusammen, und als wir von den Reinigungsproblemen erfuhren, haben wir das Team sofort zweimal zurückgeschickt, um Ihre Bedenken auszuräumen. Trotz dieser Bemühungen erfuhren wir nach Ihrem Check-out, dass Katzenkot auf der Couch entdeckt wurde, was darauf schließen lässt, dass ein Haustier ohne unser Wissen in die Wohnung gebracht wurde.
Was den Komfort der Betten betrifft, so verstehen wir, dass dies eine persönliche Vorliebe sein kann. Wir werden Ihr Feedback jedoch an den Eigentümer weiterleiten, um mögliche Verbesserungen zu prüfen.
Wir hoffen, dass Sie trotz der Schwierigkeiten, mit denen Sie konfrontiert waren, Ihre Zeit in Olhão genießen und mit Ihrer Familie einige besondere Urlaubserinnerungen schaffen konnten.

Il n'y a pas véritablement 2 chambres. L'une d'entre elles n'est pas utilisable en cas de fortes chaleurs (classique en été). L'escalier pour monter à la 2eme "chambre" et à la terrasse est difficilement utilisable. Pas d'essentiel de cuisine à l'arrivée (sel / poivre par ex).

El apartamento es muy muy pequeño. Al entrar da sensación de agobio. Es un bajo por lo que da directamente a la calle y no se puede abrir la ventana sin que te vean. Las escaleras para subir a la terraza son horribles. Relación calidad-precio mala. Por un precio más bajo sería mejor porque está ubicado a 10 min andando del centro.

The location was nice mixed with the locals and nice local cafes. Everyone was very friendly.
Only a couple of niggles; the power tripped using the kettle or oven, anything high powered, and the frying pans need replacing, heavily scratched Teflon which we didn’t wish to use.
These were pretty minor and hopefully something the owner can easily solve.
Was very nice sitting on the terrace in a hot evening and a bonus having air con to cool down a little.

The apartment was perfectly clean & tidy & had everything we needed for a great stay. Beds were v.comfy. Roof terrace was fab - the stairs up were a little tricky but we managed well, as did our 8 year old (apartment not recommended for kids but we checked this in advance).
We had issues connecting to WiFi - there was a QRcode in the lounge but it didnt work. A note of password wouldve been better. We didnt contact the host to ask for the password.
Air con was an issue when you put on another appliance (eg cooker/kettle) because power tripped. We just reset and managed this but it was frustrating.
Parking was free on surrounding streets which was great. Thanks!!

Wenn man mehr als zwei wattstarke Geräte benutzt hatte, viel die Sicherung raus.
Das Waschbecken im Bad war etwas klein.
